1. Afikim is an Arab-Israeli corporation
Ilan   (03.05.13)
Burning buses that are owned and operated by Israeli Arabs is counter productive.
2. The PA does not want Palestinians to work in Israel.
Jrebecca ,   Modiin   (03.05.13)
They might find out how much better off they are in Israel.
3. The idea of separated buses is completely wrong
Yossef   (03.05.13)
we must find another solution, a human one. We cannot become an apartheid nation, we have been strangers in Egypt, remember!
4. we can be an apartheid nation
JL   (03.05.13)
if our childrens lives depend on it...let all the leftists kids travel on the palestinian bus lines if they want
5. To: No. 3
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.05.13)
Okay. Let's make it a non-issue and revoke all the ersatz "Palestinian" work permits. Let them find employment in the ersatz "Palestine" Authority. Abbas wanted a "state?" Well, let him build one. Chuckle. Good luck with that one!
6. The Ministry of Transp. is lyiing

7. There is nothing wrong about this.
MikeA ,   Boston, USA   (03.05.13)
I don't doubt that this is inconvenient for Palestinians, but make no mistake, this is completely justified. The fact is that these buses are used as ENTRY POINTS into Israel. This is no different than arriving at JFK Airport and having to stand in line an the "non-US Citizens" line. In fact, almost every other jurisdiction in the world follows a similar practice at its entry points. Please let's not turn this into something that it isn't.
8. find a Jew on an Arab bus
Larry ,   Los Angeles   (03.05.13)
There exists no provision by the Arab bus companies to provide security for Jewish travelers in Arab areas. Is this not discrimination?
9. jews on arab buses
anon ,   canada   (03.05.13)
i traveled all the time on arab buses, i even stated i was jewish on a bus in hebron h1 area. i never had a problem.
10. This is what apartheid looks like...
Michael ,   New York   (03.05.13)
Separate and unequal bus lines that are then torched in racist attack. Not a pretty picture.
11. Every Arab a risk?
Mark ,   Cleveland USA   (03.05.13)
The most aggresive people in the Middle East are Israeli. The Arabs are victims of us. We owe them land, reparations and an apology for being heartless, self-centered thugs.
12. #1 - "Palestinians" think nothing of bombing Israeli Arabs
William ,   Israel   (03.05.13)
Many Israeli Arabs were injured or killed when "Palestinians" attacked their cars with sniper rifles, molotov cocktails, and rocks over the past 13 years. They then call them "martyrs" but offer no remorse for their deadly actions.
13. It's time "palestinians" stopped building homes for Jews
A ,   Belgium   (03.05.13)
in Israel, and started building homes for themselves in Jordan where they belong.
14. Riots incited by Israeli and Foreign Leftists
William ,   Israel   (03.05.13)
The Arabs weren't too concerned about it as it lowered their costs, got them home quicker, and was less crowded. Then they were told they were discriminated against, so they rioted. Lemmings leading lemmings. No wonder they still don't have a State. They continually destroy themselves to prove a point. Bravo.
15. #3 - This isn't Apartheid, idiot
William ,   Israel   (03.05.13)
You're nothing more than a worthless parrot who has no idea what Apartheid even is. This is not segregation against ethic groups. This is segregation between nationalities where security is becoming a huge issue. We owe the "Palestinians" NOTHING! They have a work permit to enter Israel. In reality, they should take "Palestinian" bus service to arrive at the border, then cross into Israel. The fact that Israel provides both a work visa AND a bus service to them, when they are not obligated under any moral or legal mandate, is already too much. I think they should stop the bus service altogether. Make Bus service for Israeli citizens only, with "Palestinians" handling their own services - which is why the PA was founded in 1994, and let them complain to Abbas.
16. #6 - go look it up and prove him wrong
William ,   Israel   (03.05.13)
The Minister of Transportation decision is available for public viewing. Katz says all buses can accept Arabs but not all buses will accept Jews. If the reality on the ground is something different, that will have to do with the bus company and drivers, not the ministry. So look up the publicly available decision and prove Katz wrong.
17. # 5...What would Israel do without their slave laborers?
Edithann ,   USA   (03.05.13)
Can Israeli's do the nasty work? I doubt it...could you Sarah? Of course you could, you're not there! TATA
18. Fine exampel of the "chosen peoples" racism. You reap what
Hamen   (03.05.13)
you sow.
19. To: No. 17
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.05.13)
Most Arabs from the West Bank have well-paying jobs in construction or work in janitorial services. Trust me -- we could import boatloads of guest workers from the Philippines that could do a very credible job and would be grateful for the work. Arab work is invariably pretty shoddy. But your comment about "slave labor" -- are you sure you aren't thinking about all the Mexicans that do stoop labor and wash dishes in restaurants because Americans disdain that sort of labor? For your information, when Jews were in the process of building a state, university professors and concert orchestra musicians who managed to escape from the Nazis worked building roads. If it helps to build a stronger Israel, I could do whatever might be asked. You don't know me, and you have never been to Israel -- so what right do you have to comment upon anything?
20. #15 William: Do you know what Apartheid is/was?
David ,   Israel   (03.05.13)
I do! I grew up under it and lived in Apartheid South Africa for 40 years until I came to Israel! The rest of your comment is basically right but the Bus thing will not help Israel in the court of international opinion where Israel bashing, BDS and Antisemitism rule! Quite frankly, I don't think that those who work in Israel and at home plan the destruction of Israel and the Jewish People should be allowed to Israel. They should get they own "State" which they can destroy where they stand! The there will be no reason for "Apartheid Styles" buses! About the "work Visa" thing, more Palestinians work probably illegally in Israel than legally - many for the Settlers - but Eli Yishai want to deport the Filipinos and their kids born here and let the terrorists from Palestine and the Muslim "refugees" from Sudan stay! The lunatics are running the asylum!
21. William, I'm not an idiot
Yossef   (03.05.13)
Be careful the way you talk to people, it reveals what you are...
22. 17 They would do just fine
A ,   Belgium   (03.05.13)
I worked at the Ashkelon power plant when Israel was still allowing "palestinians" to work there. Every week new reports of sabotage; cement poured into toilets, electric cables sliced, water lines plugged with human...shall I go on? The "intifada" began, while Russians and Ethiopian JEWS immigrated and there was a JEWISH workforce building the power station, with the help of Eastern Europeans and Asians. "Palestinians" were no long welcome NOR needed. They were, and still are, useless.
23. # 19...No, Sarah has it all wrong again!
Edithann ,   USA   (03.06.13)
Palestinians were always expected to be the slave labor force for Israel...but it just didn't work out as easily as expected..Jews never expected the Palestinians to resist.. That's one reason for such hatred of the Palestinians, they upset the original Zionist dream...Israel never dreamed the Palestinians would want their homes and lands back..How stupid of those Palestinians! ...isn't that right Sarah? Just the fact of wanting their homes back is evidence of how stupid and useless they are... For an Israeli/Jew to speak about the glories of building a state on Palestinian land is a picture one must never forget. Those cultured Jewish laborers were also living in Palestinian homes too... You're insane to even boast of such brutality and inhumanity...but you're you...and we know you! And I do know you dear. One doesn't have to have the disease to recognize how deadly it is I've never been wrong on character, and you really have made yourself very will known... But I have a right, and a duty to comment on anything I see as outrageous, illegal and certifiably insane! TATA
24. Do you think being last, really means being last? TATA
