"Schindler rescued him from a Polish ghetto."
I haven't known, not till now, that we Poles had our own ghettoes.
And that a good Nazi German Schindler rescued some people from them Polish ghettoes, despite the deadly risk of being discovered and denounced by the Poles.

I'm crazy but, it seems to me that Schindler " employed" the jews for his personal gain--paid them nothing--got free labor--made lots of money and when he saw the tide turning switched sides and became a jewish hero. I don't know, maybe I'm goofy
