1. well, Israel should start exporting to China...
Jean-Pierre ,   Austria   (03.07.13)
more Money in that, if that does not work..time for the Jews to Export to Aliens in space, Jews gotta have to be smarter, better, faster, and stronger everyday.. be the light against all evil and Odds.. shalom to Israel and a shabbat shalom to you all tomorrow.. peace to all human race... but sucks many of them denys Israels rights of existence and historic heritage...and whatnot... oh well...whatever floats their boat...Israel just Needs to float the boat harder and harder.. its painful..but worth it...to survive
2. Labelling
Jim ,   Uk   (03.07.13)
If I bought a product and was labelled made in US when in fact it was made in the Congo I would sue. It is exactly the case with Israel labelling products from areas which are occupied by force. I believe you will see the boycott accelerate.
3. Not to put too fine a point on it ...
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.07.13)
... but the Golan Heights has been annexed, and is now a part of the State of Israel.
4. Not disputed areas but defying UNSCR
A Bethlehemite   (03.07.13)
The world should apply the same labeling rule to any country defying UNSCR or international laws.
5. i stopped buying anything from holland some time back.

6. Interesting choice of illustration
Aviela ,   Lower Migron, Israel   (03.07.13)
You've chosen a picture of Migron. Nothing is being produced, that picture no longer exists. The drop-out program for high school boys, that was located in Migron, is no longer producing balanced, productive teenagers. The horseback riding clinic for children with physical and emotional difficulties is no longer producing better adjusted children who can better lead a happy life in regular society. Well done, Supreme Court.
7. No.2, Jim from U.K.
New Yorker ,   U.S.A.   (03.07.13)
What do you mean, Jim from the U.K., by "occupied by force"? People simply live and work where they do. The fact that they are Israeli Jews should make no difference. The territory of Judea and Shomron is legally possessed and administered by Israel. Things produced in Western Sahara (whatever may be produced there) would carry the label made in Morocco and they do, don't they? I never heard of EU intentions to segregate them for any particular purpose. The former Konigsberg got occupied and settled by force by the Russians following WWII. Why would EU not initiate some kind of campaign to punish the Russian "settlers" living beyond the "proper green line" there? Why not be impartial? Why use one set of rules for some and not for all the rest?

The Chinese are that stupid to accept fraud. Why Israel is searching for trouble. It must leave all occupied lands and make peace with its neighbors.

Harold ,   USA   (03.07.13)
Ha Ha Ha Ha. Where are you getting this laughable ideas. What happened to all Polish lands annexed by Germany before World War Two. They were kicked out.
10. Cannot see a problem....
Bertram ,   London, UK   (03.07.13)
....in labelling goods according to their origin. Likewise all goods originating in any other occupied territory elsewhere in the world should also be labelled accordingly. By the way, under the 1981 law Israel supposedly annexed the Golan unilaterally but the word 'annexation' wasn't used. The 'annexation' is not recognised by the US or any other country, but I guess this is a minor matter.

Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.07.13)
Well, the United States did not acquire the Congo in the course of fighting a defensive war. Moreover, the Congo is sovereign -- Judea and Samaria are not. But it really doesn't matter -- Israel is three-quarters down the road to full and formal annexation of Judea and Samaria. And there's not a damned thing you -- or anyone else -- can do to stop it. Good luck with your "sanctions." That's not headed anywhere any time soon.
13. Apologies
Richard ,   The Hague Holland   (03.07.13)
My sincere apologies for the studity of this nation, Its the left wing/ islamic influence combined with the dutch weakness that creates this disgusting situation.

JUDAH THE LION ,   JEWS FIGHT LIKE LION   (03.07.13)
It is not occupied, but rather liberated from foreign power. This land belong to us the Jews for over five thousand years well before Islam & Christianity were born. Read history, Old/New Testament and the Quran. Surely when the European leaders goes to Church to prey they admit the land of Israel belong to the Jews, but unfortunately, they are HUNGRY for money, OIL, investments, business, etc,. The Europeans have no moral, they will sell their mothers for money. Wait till the Islamic Cobras grow in Europe and Islam will be majority, Europe will be turn to Islamic. Prepare the new Islamic continent. Israel will always survive, go ahead with your boycott, as the ALMIGHTY is with his nation. IN G D JEWS TRUST, AND NO ONE ELSE !!!!!!

16. Boycott
Bob ,   UK   (03.08.13)
At the moment I am not buying any Israeli produce because the labelling does not specify whether it comes from Israel proper or the Palestinian lands that Israel occupy and colonise. I wouldn't mind buying from honest producers of the State of Israel, but I just can't bring myself to buying from people sitting on stolen land because that would mean indirectly financing the illegal occupation. I know many other people likewise, who would put down a product back on the shelf after seeing the label or the Israeli barcode. I think the Netherlands are doing the right thing and I hope many other follow.
17. #16 - Boycott
Harold ,   USA   (03.08.13)
Very great comment and true. Stolen Palestinian lands means people should not buy anything from those who stole the lands. As you mentioned that this is just the begining of a huge decision to be made by other countries soon.
18. TAKE CARE SARAH # 3
FO ,   Belgium   (03.08.13)
Take care Sarah, the term "annexed" is not suitable concerning the Golan Heights. The Golan Heights were an integral part of the Jewish National Home, intended to become the Independent Jewish State, as decided by the League of Nations in 1922. The British disregarded their nomination as a Mandatory, and behaved as a colonial power. In March1923, the British, betraying, and the League of Nations, as well as the Jewish people by breaching Article 5 of the "Mandate for Palestine", ceded the Golan Heights to the French Mandate of Syria. This illegal territorial transfer by the British was made with the sole interest to secure Mosul's oil fields to Iraq. A Mandate is a Trust, according to Article 80 of the UN Charter, Israel's decision to impose its Laws on the Golan Heights on December 14, 1981, RIGHTED the WRONG that was committed by the British in March 1923. So you see, Sarah, in this case there is no question of an annexation, not even of a "disputed" area, but of the recovery of a lost territory, because the betrayal of a Mandatory.
19. Europeans boycott
JUDAH THE LION ,   JEWS FIGHT LIKE LION   (03.08.13)
To hell with them. Let them to boycott. Todays Israel wine is the best of the best.. Better than European wine. ASIA is big market. Israel can sell her wine to Japan, China, Korea, Singapore, Hong-Kong, India, & others. Asian love to have some wine after hard day. Jews will not be under the mercy of Europe, that days gone forever. Jews are free and independent.
20. Bob Uk
JUDAH THE LION ,   JEWS FIGHT LIKE LION   (03.08.13)
To hell with you !!!! Go ahead and boycott. Please make sure you boycott the Jewish State of Israel 100%. Stop using mobile, computers, Israeli medicine etc,.now
21. To: No. 9
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.08.13)
That's because Germany LOST a war of aggression. Just like Jordan LOST a war of aggression. And Israel is going to repatriate all those Jordanian citizens in Judea and Samaria, just the way Poland repatriated all those Germans in East Prussia. Thank you for buttressing -- albeit unknowingly -- my argument. Ha, Ha, Ha -- indeed!
22. Please label them in all countries
Matityahu ,   Slovenia   (03.08.13)
So I can pick them up quicker in the supermarket.
23. they will
Holy Warrior ,   UK   (03.08.13)
Always find ways of making money illegally, its in their genes..
24. #6, Aviela, what a sad story ! All of my best
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (03.08.13)
wishes for you and yours. The "settlements" are Israels future ! You all are in my prayers...
25. To: No. 16
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.08.13)
"Palestinian" lands? What "Palestinian" lands? Judea and Samaria are nonsovereign, and there has never been a "State of Palestine." Ever. And the General Assembly cannot create one.
26. Bob UK no 16
AL QUDS ALYAHUDI ,   QUDS HAKA ALYAHUD   (03.08.13)
Bobby, Israel not colonial power like the British. The British empire have stolen all the wealth from India, and Africa and brought to UK. The land of Israel is liberated land. The Jews have liberated this holy land after two thousands of years in exile. Jews are coming back sweet home. Thieving Brits.
27. Sarah, in which world are living in?
(03.08.13)
The West Bank has been declared the new State of Palestine by the whole world and you state that it's almost part of Israel? You're just a lunatic !!!
28. LEAVE UP TO THE DUTCH
David ,   Judea   (03.08.13)
If there is one nation that knows about stealing land it is the Dutch. Indonesia was occupied for 350 years , South Africa was ruled for hundreds of years and the word "apartheid is the only Dutch word known worldwide. Then there was Surinam and the Dutch antilles. And lets not forget they were the biggest slavetraders in the whole of Africa. If you like Amsterdam and other old cities there they were all build on money and goods stolen out of these countries. There are no bigger hypocrtis then the Dutch, who were very helpfull during the Shoah with the Nazis to empty out Holland of its Jews. One thing they don't lack is pure Gutspah to point a finger at us.
29. appeasement
glen davis ,   Canada , maritimes   (03.08.13)
its very easy to boycot holland .. Cheese Bulbs Tulips Tomatoes Peppers Cucumbers and is also said to be the world's largest exporter of the illegal drug ecstasy. The biggest threat to the netherlands is islam yet the fools want to boycot israel , nothing more then appeasement to the muslims in the hope to prevent future terrorist attacks.
30. #16 - Bob from UK...
Alex ,   US   (03.08.13)
Who should be talking! You are from a country that colonized half of the world (including the area what now is Israel). So you got your s kicked out from everywhere and now you’re a bit bitter? And should other countries mark Irish product as from occupied land and stop buying those?
