1. on being an Israeli civilian
Cipora Julianna Kohn ,   Z   (03.11.13)
anyone in his right might would rather be an israeli civilain than be a lebanese civilian, or a civilian anywhere in the muslim world.
2. on Operation Pillar of Defence
Cipora Julianna Kohn ,   Z   (03.11.13)
many were the critiques who demanded an extended, expensive operation, with ground forces. there were those who actually accused ehud barak of treason, of cowardice, etc.... many think that they are great warriors. fortunately, they do not have power over armies.
3. Really?
Joe Asfoor ,   Burke, USA   (03.12.13)
It is amazing how Israeli leaders find the means and time to make their life miserable by creating antagonism and then threatening retaliation. Quoa Vadis, Israel !
4. #1
friend of Israel ,   londonderry nireland   (03.12.13)
I agree whole heartedly with what you say. You have a country to be extremely proud of. Israel is a beacon of light surrounded by darkness. I admire the State of Israel and its people every bit as much as my own small country. No surrender 3 cheers for Israel
5. Talk, talk, talk....
Shalom ,   U.S.A.   (03.12.13)
The IDF under Gantz command cannot even protect jewish civilians from arab hooligans.
6. Yep
Hakim ,   Palestine   (03.12.13)
they are sure to be attacked by a country that is in turmoil. Only the Jewish controlled media can surely sell a BS story like this...
7. And the next Israeli false flag crime
Truth ,   Palestine   (03.12.13)

8. hizbullshitallah doesn't care about Lebanon's civilians
jerome ,   basalt, colorado   (03.12.13)
they are focused on there favorite national pastime of hate that Jews! In the U.S. baseball, football and basketball are favorites. every country has there own favorites and hobbies.
9. alarm
sam ,   colorado   (03.12.13)
alarm must now be prepared to Islam jihadist who defeated America in Iraq and Afghanistan
10. The rusty voices of tinpot generals
Avi ,   NYC, USA   (03.12.13)
Is there any reason for this madness? The constant chest beating? The repetitive threats? Are these really threats or just sounds that are meant to sooth us? That without them we feel like this little kid from the ghetto with his hands up in the air? Or maybe as a thief at the moment the alarm sounds? Maybe like these johns is reality TV in the US when they are being caught by the camera? Is there a sophisticated game going on here where we trick everyone, or is it us that we trick? Is this the road to Massada or to some kind of a collective mental assylum?
11. Then Israel is declaring war on civilians?
Edithann ,   USA   (03.12.13)
What they did to the Palestinians the last 2 times out, and the Lebanese before that wasn't war on civilians? This time will be different??? How so???... Israel wont and can't do any more then what they already did..and I'm sure the Arabs are waiting for them... So your safe for a few years but it's not because of your strength...They just found another way to defeat you..and they're making progress... Can we say BDS, UN, EU and the ICC,, Now don't get your balls in a uproar...you can't kill your way into security... TATA TATA
12. Nasrallah talks for civilians from bunker even better.
Miron ,   USA   (03.12.13)
Another... pillow of clause...
13. regional deterioration
sam ,   colorado   (03.12.13)
Period through the calm experienced by the Golan front since 1973 gradually eroded,In Front Of crawl Islamic battalions to the border,Israel may find itself facing Hezbollah in southern Lebanon,Perhaps al-Qaeda in coordination or not to coordination with him and the Al-Nasra and sisters or the like of the jihadist groups in the eastern border
14. idiotic remark
zionist forever   (03.12.13)
I would rather be an Israeli civilian than a Lebanese civilian. That has got to be the stupidest remark I have ever heard a chief of staff make. If it had been the Lebanese chief of staff it would be understandable because in any war Lebanon will be on the loosing side but from Benny Gantz its just plain stupidity. As for his strong support for the haredi in the army remark, thats the politically correct story reality is the last thing he wants in his new streamlined army is a bunch of haredi the doesn't need and will cost a fortune to integrate. I do hope that whilst Lapid is waging his crusade against the haredi who don't want to serve because they believe they should be studying Torah in yeshiva he doesn't forget all those secular peachicks in Tel Aviv who dodge the draft on ideological grounds but who also happen to be the kind of people that voted for him.
15. Gantz and the usual 'Chosenite' babble
lydia ,   Brisbane   (03.12.13)
Israels occupied Lebanon until they were tossed and occupied Gaza until they were tossed out and It's only a matter of time before the Arabs/Muslim reclaim their land.
16. Islamic rhetoric will always be be loud and rather empty
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (03.12.13)
And after the pounding Hamas and Hezbollah have taken at the hands of Israel, is it any wonder they are reluctant to renew the fight, while still licking their wounds?
17. 4, friend of israel
Cipora Julianna Kohn ,   Z   (03.12.13)
yes, i am immensely proud of israel. it is being reported that the american withdrawal from afghanistan will pose a strategic threat to russia in the volga region, the caucasus, where wahabists are stirring up trouble and committing acts of terror, especially against the highest ranking anti-wahabi officials.
18. # 11 Next time will be different.....
Ivan ,   South Africa   (03.12.13)
Israel won't be dropping leaflets to let the people know they are coming. They will just arrive...
19. Well knowing how the Israelis
Ivor Evenbiggergun   (03.12.13)
treated the Lebanese in Sabra and Chatila and bearing in mind Gantz will have seen stuff that we haven't I am really not that surprised that Gantz would want to be an Israeli rather than a Lebanese. The Israeli government's problem of course is that Israelis are preferring to be German rather than Israeli.
20. #19 behind the times
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (03.12.13)
You must really get out more. Nowadays everyone (except you apparently) knows and publically admits that Sabra and Chatilla was done by Assad. It was a stroke of genius: by killing some people he made Israel lose Lebanon I war, gained unchallenged control of Lebanon for 28 years, neutralized Sharon, and installed the Left in Israel's government.
21. Filthy Teeth on guy in picture
andy ,   manchester   (03.12.13)
22. #6. moslems are unpredictable
A ,   Belgium   (03.12.13)
Last year Israel was attacked by a country that doesn't even exist in turmoil. Why couldn't Lebanon, Syria, or Egypt do the same, except for the fact that they wouldn't stand a chance against the IDF?
23. #21. He's the rebels' dentist
A ,   Belgium   (03.12.13)
24. #10/Avi Israel to Blamefor Protecting Itself?
David N. ,   Haifa, ISRAEL   (03.12.13)
Avi, why do you blame the Jewish nation for wanting to protect itself, and for warning off the bullys? Why is it always the Jew who is wrong in self defense? Why can't the Jewish nationality have an army and generals, and let the hostile neighbours know that we do not plan to sit by and do nothing? Calling the Chief of Staff a tinpot general is an insult to all Jews, but especially those on the line of confrontation, ultimately keeping the Land of Israel safe for all the Jewish nation, even those who live in NY and might call themselves by a Gentile national identity these days. You don't know Gen. Gantz anywhere well enough for your "tinpot general" slur.
25. To #19
Marucho ,   Bs. Aires- Argentina   (03.12.13)
Ivor, what have you been smoking lately?
26. Hidden threat?
Get Real ,   UK   (03.12.13)
I wonder if there is a hidden threat here to Hezbollah about re-commencing its terror campaign against Israel from Syria. Although its not a bad idea to regularly remind the terror entities that hostilities will be strongly responded to.
27. Haredi contribution to the army
Joe Mevorah ,   Lincoln, U.S.A.   (03.12.13)
The IDF and Gantz are only fooling themselves about the contribution the Orthodox and the haredim bring to the army. The question one needs to be concerned about is wether these groups will obey the orders of the government, or their RABBIS? If it's the latter get set for civil war.
28. @ 18...Looking at 'War Crimes' and the ICC...
Edithann ,   USA   (03.12.13)
How stupid, do you think dropping leaflets was a favor? They'll just arrive, just as the ICC carts you away... TATA
