1. A written promise from Iran ...
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.12.13)
... is worthless. Can anyone spell "taquiyya?"
2. They are liars. We already know this for a fact
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (03.12.13)
Iran's leaders are known liars. There is absolutely no reason to believe them. There is no reason to believe they are not pursuing nuclear weapons when all the evidence indicates they are. Instead of giving cheap speeches, they can simply allow IAEA inspectors in the secret sites Iran has refused to let them inspect. Iran refuses to cooperate with the UN. Iran is under massive sanctions for good reasons - they are trying to obtain nuclear weapons.
3. I intend to make public I want a horrible life
zionist forever   (03.12.13)
I want to go live in Syria I want to be sick I want to be homeless I want to be single for the rest of my life These are the things I seek and if I say thats what I want then you can trust me I will live my life that way. If Iran promises they don't want nukes then we should believe them because the Persians never lie.

8. Funny, no one can find that "religious edict" of 2005.
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (03.12.13)
Even if that "fatwa" was truly binding (it's not), no one has been able even to show it truly exists. The Iranians *say* it exists, but we know how much their words mean. I can just picture dumbfounded Westerners confronting Iranian diplomats after they detonate a nuclear device. "How could you do this? What about the fatwa?" Iranians: "What fatwa?"
9. OMG LMAO
(03.12.13)
I just had Mt Dew come through my nose (Yuk), how funny in a Deranged Way! The so-called piece of paper is as useful as T.P. (toilet paper) to wipe Any Yiddish Tuchas! Taqiyya/Kitman? 10. #7 Dear nephew, I'm sure you remember the Manhattan Project
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (03.12.13)
We think Iran should be dealt with militarily before they can duplicate that project, don't we dear nephew?
11. Never Believe Iranian Promises
sam sweiry ,   Eastbourne - UK   (03.12.13)
Iranians say one thing and do another behind the back - I dont say never trust Iranians - what I am saying I dont trust the Ayatolahs of Iran - Do you agree?
12. Masters of doubletalk
KA Milne ,   UK   (03.12.13)
And the journalism is almost as good. "Rahimi did not say when the promise would be delivered.", it says. Before a promise is delivered, it has to be made. The Iranians have made promises over inspection, but they have not delivered. They intend appealing over the heads of inspectors and over the heads of governments to the world's people, anxious to believe in promises and anxious to believe in the authority and good faith of the UN, despite all of the evidence. Undoubtedly, the Iranians will succeed in fooling some people. Undoubtedly, they will be fooling them.
13. credible inspections
Wade ,   NYC USA   (03.12.13)
Iran must allow international inspectors free access to all sites. If they are not lying, the inspectors will confirm it. If they are lying (permissible Islam strategy), inspectors will detect it.
14. Come on Sarah, #1
Brad ,   USA   (03.12.13)
It's worth something. We still need toilet paper, you know.
15. Every single word from an Iranian
steve from raleigh   (03.12.13)
Is a lie.
16. Iran also signed the NPT
Devorah   (03.12.13)
But they refuse to allow IAEA inspectors to examine certain so-called "peaceful" facilities which is in direct violation of NPT provisions: "Under these agreements, all nuclear materials in peaceful civil facilities under the jurisdiction of the state must be declared to the IAEA, whose inspectors have routine access to the facilities for periodic monitoring and inspections." Iran's signatures are not worth the paper they are printed on.
17. To: Brad at No. 14
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.12.13)
You're right, of course. But isn't that what the rial is for?
18. The Golan/Tiran UN Peacekeepers were also UN sponsored
Alan ,   SA   (03.12.13)
19. LOL! A promise from hell!
Mira ,   Vienna   (03.12.13)
Now instead of making promises open all your nuke-factories space-monkey!
20. Once again, what about Israel and others
Taner ,   NYC   (03.12.13)
Will they promise to get rid of their nukes for the sake of all humans? Also, Iran making such a promise does not seem like a close option to me, but if they do it will take away Israel's only excuse to attack Iran. Let's wait and see.
21. Iran will not seek the bomb...
Albrecht Klein ,   Germany   (03.12.13)
... and the earth is a flat plate.
22. Written promIse to the UN
Get Real ,   UK   (03.12.13)
about as reliable as the one Chamberlain brought back from Munich.
23. Ever heard of Taqiyya
Chopper4 ,   CPT, South Africa   (03.12.13)
That is religious deception. If you believe this, then you are definitely batting for the wrong team!
24. Israel will make her own determination
Cipora Julianna Kohn ,   Z   (03.12.13)
the snakes in the world are trying very hard to prevent israel from exercising her right to self defence and from determining her national security interests without foreign interference. it is not an accident that the shia terrorists have made this declaration of taqiyah one week before obama is to land in israel. we all know that obama is desperately trying to prevent any military strike on iran. the iran issue is one of the major reasons for his visit to israel. netanyahu must not promise him anything whatever.
25. Why don't you trust us???
The Iranian Leaders   (03.12.13)
We have never lied before, have we? Come on, you have to trust us! We need to be able to use our "Great Satan Express" cards again! Our wives need new jewlery from Galerie Lafayette!!!
26. Buying from N Korea
Claude ,   London   (03.12.13)
That's like buying a trabant from the old GDR Irans economy is collapsing, supportingAssad is costing them plenty and their friend Chavez has gone, even China is getting fed up of N Korea, trade with S Korea makes much more sense.
27. Israel must never
Arfan ,   toronto   (03.12.13)
give up her weapons. Not now....not ever !
28. To: No. 20
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.12.13)
Nukes? What nukes? When has Israel ever publicly acknowledged that it has nukes? Sorry. Couldn't resist. Of course Israel has nukes. Lots and lots of them. Israel's had nuclear weapons since the mid-1960s. But it has never used them, has it? It has never threatened the destruction of a sovereign state. The same cannot be said for Iran. By the way -- Iran is a state sponsor of terrorism -- most notably Hamas and Hezbollah. Iranian vessels and convoys attempting to transfer sophisticated arms to its terrorist proxies is a well-known fact. Iran has also been caught red-handed in Thailand and Kenya plotting to destroy Israeli-owned and controlled businesses and hotels. Iran has also been charged with targeting innocent Jews overseas. Israel has plenty of excuses to attack Iran. PLENTY!
29. THEY AN LIE TO FURTHER THEIR ISLAM AGENDA
Esther ,   Selkirk Canada   (03.12.13)
SO THEIR WORD MEANS ZERO.. UNLESS IRAN TOTALLY LETS EU-UN-WORLD ATOMIC ENGINEERS IN TO ASSESS & RE-DIRECT IRAN'S NUCLEAR AMBITIONS.. & BIG DEAL AHMAD COMFORTED CHAVEZ'S MOTHER... FOR GOD'S SAKE .. 30. No One Believes Iran
Chaim Ben Kahan ,   Efrat, Israel   (03.12.13)
Words are cheap.
