1. The problem is that they are trying to reach utter despair
Jacob E ,   Holon, Israel   (03.14.13)
They aren't trying to get away from the point where an intifada will happen, in fact, some are actively going for it. They want it to happen, and then they will blame us.
2. If they had any sense
Carl   (03.14.13)
If the pals really want a state living peacefully alongside Israel they had 5 opportunities. Apparently it is more important for them to destroy Israel than have their own state
3. Lack of intifada
Jadzia ,   uk   (03.14.13)
The intifada has erupted because the muslems are divided almost in every country around Israel and further afar. Palestinans see what happened in Egypt, where the economy and freedom both take a worse turn. They will slowly learn to appreciate the relative freedom and relative economic ease afforded to the by the "Israeli occupation"
4. Hey, al-Masri
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.14.13)
Your name tells us all where YOU come from. As does the name of all (quite a few of those) whose name is Al-Arabiyah. Go home to Egypt, and stop pretending you have any claim at all to my country. We've had enough of your false claims, fake identity and invented history. JUST ... GO ... AWAY. You don't belong here, and your names betray you.
5. To no. 4
David ,   Barcelona   (03.14.13)
AlMasry might be of Egyptian origin, but what are yours? which people left Egypt to Palestine with Moses? This is not an excuse for you to steal other people's land!!! actually you are stealing the natives land of America and the natives "Kanaanites" of Palestine... STOP THE HYPOCRICY...
6. Peace will come when...
Clear Thinker ,   Haifa, Israel   (03.14.13)
Peace will come when both sides understand that the other is here to stay, and that both sides have claims to this land, and that the land will have to be divided. We in Israel have not gotten the feeling from the Palestinian Authority that it understands the Jewish claim to sovereignity here, based on over 3000 years of history here.
7. Although you did make a few correct points
A ,   Belgium   (03.14.13)
"the corruption in the PA", and "internal struggles, sectoral interests and competition between the various factions", and "negotiating with Israel reached a dead end years ago", because of Hamas' complete refusal to negotiate and Abbas' ridiculous preconditions. For the rest, 2 intifadas accomplished nothing, especially, as you claim, uniting the "palestinian people" (who actually is in charge?), no one will send forces to help either Israel or the arabs, and the world is just fed up with the "palestinians" constant whining about oppression and occupation when they refuse to take matters into their own hands and free themselves of the corruption in Ramallah and Gaza, and present themselves as serious and peaceful partners for negotiations. There is a story about a man walking down the street and seeing someone banging his head against a wall. The first asks, "Why are you banging your head against the wall?" and the second answers, "because it feels so good when I stop!" Instead of blaming Israel for your problems, maybe its time to stop banging your heads against the wall.
8. All this effort on Lunatic Left's part and no results!!!!???
tom ,   tel aviv   (03.14.13)
9. To: No. 5
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.14.13)
You want to be a little careful, David. Considering what the Spanish conquistadors did to native populations in Central and Latin America .... you are knee deep in the blood of innocents. Stop the hypocrisy! Israel has simply reclaimed what has always been ours. Of course, there is the not-so-little matter of Arabs rejecting partition and being the aggressor in six wars, all of which were won by Israel ... international law and convention is pretty clear on what happens when a country acquires nonsovereign land in the course of emerging victorious in a defensive war.
10. "Will start intifada when reach level of despair"
William ,   Israel   (03.14.13)
Not true. In 1999, these Arabs had the best of everything. Fast growing economy, free movement into Israel and beyond, high life expectancy and literacy rates, access to an economic power next door - the were the envy of the entire world, especially the Arab world.... and they trashed it all in order to launch a terror war with the microscopic chance of destroying Israel. Today's despair is because of their own leadership, not Israel. In 2000, Israel wasn't prepared for such violence and many civilians died from it. Today, Israel is well-prepared and such violence will be pounded down immediately. A true intifada would be one against their own failed leadership, in Ramallah and Gaza.
11. And Ynet had to publish this
Robert Haymond ,   Tequoa, Israel   (03.14.13)
trash about Israel being an "occupying power" because?...there's not enough room in that Israel hate-filled rag called "Maan". Ynet appeases the enemy to show what sports we are, that we are "truly democratic" even if we fail to survive our own stupidity.
12. Where is your home
Michael ,   Cork Ireland   (03.14.13)
S.B. would you go back to your country; Netherlands,U.K whatever it is.you don't have any claim to US.it belong to First Nations.Look who is talking!
13. Palestinians have suffered too long "israeli" racism.
(03.14.13)
14. 13
(03.15.13)
and israelis and jews have suffered too long "arab" terrorism and suicide bombings and murder.
15. To: No. 12
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.15.13)
Well ... since you asked .... my home is Israel. I spend six months out of every year in the United States (country of my birth) and the balance in Israel (country of my choice). The only reason we remain in the United States is because it affords us the opportunity to earn millions and send a considerable amount home to Israel. You know -- just like Irish illegals in the United States who work in bars and as nannies and construction workers and send all their money home to Ireland. Except on a considerably greater scale. Oh, don't worry. We pay nearly $3million dollars a year in taxes to the United States. Which is far more than can be said for Irish barmen and barmaids, construction workers and nannies who work illegally and pay zip in taxes in the United States. Tsk, tsk. You were saying?
16. to sarah b.
R Coyner ,   usa   (03.15.13)
Yes, you are correct. I am a Jew living in Los Angeles, my family has been in the USA since the late 1800's. I am making aliyah to Israel and I will settle in Judea. I have more right to the land than any Arab whose family has been living there for centuries. They can go to Saudi Arabia. Then again, I also might emigrate to England!
17. To: R. Coyner at No. 16
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.15.13)
Kudos to you, sir! Give England a pass. In ten years, the Islamic population will have taken over that despicable country. Good riddance to the U.K. and the very best of luck in Israel. I cannot tell you how good it feels to come home ....
18. My Advice to So called "Palestinians"
Chaim Ben Kahan ,   Efrat, Israel   (03.15.13)
For a change why not attempt to build an actual nation instead of focusing on how to destroy Israel? This is why there is no such thing as "Palestine", there is no legitimate nation building. There has only been theft of Jewish land, violence, incitement, corruption, blaming, and terrorism. If you want a nation, then build one! That is what Israel did. Build a nation and once Israel sees the Palestinian movement is not focused on destroying a nation, but in building one , peace will occur soon after.
19. Palestinian State will never exist ....
Luiz F Haddad ,   Niteroi, Brazil   (03.15.13)
...while their leaders don't recognize, in fact, Israel; giving up from erred "rights of return". The stalemate must be ended, but the Jewish State can not be endangered. That's the only truth. Arab Palestine needs a better behaviour. About Israel, firm and patient attitudes are necessary.
20. Peace will come with "Palestinian" departure.
Chaim ,   Israel   (03.15.13)
Israel could have had peace decades ago. It would have taken two simple actions. Offer no support for our "Palestinian" foes. Act like every other nation, in this respect. No other nation, in all human history, has voluntarily supported its foes.' Secondly, off "Palestinians" reasonable compensation to leave our land forever. These two actions would put a quick end to Fictional Palestine. Peace will come only through "Palestinian" departure.
21. Spanish murderers and thieves.
michael Pielet ,   Israel   (05.01.13)
The Spainard, David from Barcelona, Tell us about your conquistadores who murdered and enslaved the Aztecs of Mexico and the Incas of Peru. Your spanish murderers destroyed Indian civilizations out of greed for gold and power. Study a little history before you preach. Spanish Conquistadores were nothing but evil exterminators of innocent native indians, thieves and exploiters.
22. Arab hatred and terror.
Michael Pielet ,   Israel   (05.01.13)
The coming war of terror waged by the arabs against us will be a direct result of incitement by the arab leaders against the Jewish nation. These wars have been going on for over 100 years. It has nothing to do with frustration and everything to do with hatred. The arabs in Judea and Samaria live better and have more autonomy than arabs anywhere in the world. It is up to the israeli government to insist that the arabs and their leaders desist from terror and incitement for terror. Otherwise these arabs will be repatriated somewhere else where they can practice their terror on their fellow arabs. Of course in the arab countries they have no rights and will simply be killed as in Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Saudi and all other arab nations.
