According to the Koran, the world is divided into two parts: Dir al Islam = land that is under Islam Dir al Charav = land which must be conquered for Islam, meaning the rest of the world. Since Israel was under Turkish rule, that is Islamic rule, Israel is considered dir al Islam and it is imperative that it be returned back to Islamic rule. Every moment that it remains under infidel (read Jewish) rule, it is an insult to all of Islam.
