Most new political ministerial designations have nothing to do with those minister`s knowledge and ability about the matters they became responsible for. It is like designating a professor of history to become all of a sudden a professor of cardiac surgery. Most of them will play the role of " YES MINISTER " nodding to what the real professionals under them propose.
2. May the minister of education ...
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (03.18.13)
be up to stop the division between religious and secular Jews ,by bringing the Israeli youth towards the Golden Middle way "Tora and Science"

a true nationalist government despite Lapid and Livni, but it is far better than the last one fo many reasons, first this government has a strong nationalist party which can make or break if Bibi went left, second the defense minister is a nationalist hero, third the housing and religious ministries in the hands of religious zionists, fourth the foreign and security ministries in the hands of the right, i believe that Livni will leave the government soon after she fails to do anything. may God guide Bibi and the new government the right way to protect and develop Israel shalom
4. well done
Cipora Julianna Kohn ,   Z   (03.18.13)
netanyahu is a brilliant negotiator. rumours that he is a weakened prime minister are just that-rumours. he has managed to retain most security related portfolios, as well as the foreign ministry. now he can finally concentrate on syria and iran.

6. Why give a nobody like Amir Peretz the post
A ,   Belgium   (03.18.13)
of "environmental protection" minister when there is already a "Regional Development, Water and Energy Minister" from the Likud? Oh well, lots of success for the new government and Israel!
7. My personal congratulation
Istvan ,   BUDAPEST HUNGARY   (03.18.13)
for the first success of the new government. Successfully raised the number of ministerial posts from the promised 18 to 22. In Hungary totally 15 or 16 portfolios exist.
8. Fad, I'm wondering what you are doing in Egypt
Yossef   (03.18.13)
at least move to Eilat ;-)
9. 4th paragraph
Shamir ,   Haifa   (03.18.13)
"Shalom will retain the Regional Development portfolio and will also take on the energy and water portfolio. He will be a member of the kitchen cabinet as well as of the peace negotiations team." what kitchen cabinet? HAHA
10. For the last ten days
Sagi   (03.18.13)
Ynet and others have been reporting "21 Ministers". I have stated here time and time again that there will be 22 Ministers. Did the media journalists not get a good grade in maths ? More important than this, at least 7 of the posts are sinecures, redundancy and waste of public funds for the sake of satisfying a few egos. No great achievment.
11. #4: Netanyahu "brilliant"? He NO choice!
David ,   Israel   (03.18.13)
The only other option was a new election and he knew that if Likud was lucky they would get 20 seats! That is what Danon and Hatubelli said on the radio last week! Netanyahu has succeed in one thing though. He has pushed out the old guard like Rivlin, Merridor, Begin and Eitan. These were the real Likudnikim when there were no deals and a man's word was his bond! Now e will see how good the word of Lapid and Bennett will be. Will there be a change and less corruption, police brutality against Israeli Citizens, Jews and Arabs, and will the courts hand down appropriate sentences for rape, assault and hit and runs? I have my doubts! As for the Palestinians, there cannot be negotiations until they hold a proper general election!

Congrats to the secular majority who really stuck it to the Haredim and now have crawled into bed with settlers and venture capitalists. So much for tzedek chevrati, social justice, the needs of ordinary Israelis, the working poor and women. Suckers!
15. One question and few suggestions
Keren ,   IL-BR   (03.18.13)
Question: Who´s the Minister for religious affairs? To whom Eli Ben-Dahan is Deputy Minister for Religios affairs? Please, somebody answers me. Suggestions: 1-Yuval Steinitz (Likud) – Minister for International, Intelligence and Strategic Affairs 2-Gilad Erdan (Likud) – Communications and Home Front Defense Minister 3-Sofa Landver (Yisrael Beiteinu) – Immigrant Absorption Minister 4-Yitzhak Aharonovitch (Yisrael Beiteinu) – Internal Security Minister 1&2&3 Should be also given the task to take care of security and infiltration prevention by enemies of the State in various extremely porous sectors of Israeli society,as universities ,touristic guidings-specially made by elements of Arab sector ,employees in governmental sections in all levels specialy in lower and middle ones, immigration by non Jews elements,to name few. To number 4 a special suggestion:look more after damaging of Arab sector against Jews than the opposite,as have been done as of now. Hopefully such warped "vision"has changed for a lot better with this new governmental configuration. Be Atzlachah!
