1. You can't rewrite STUPID only this dufus tried
Al   (03.18.13)
He will end up with his ass in a stir. This isn't Israel where every putz gets a pass. This is the USA where there are over 2M plus sitting in jail. They love throwing people in jail in the USA. GOD BLESS AMERICA
2. stupid !
alsky ,   toronto   (03.18.13)
I hope he gets what he deserves.
3. Dumb.... Ass
Jacob E ,   Holon, Israel   (03.18.13)
4. Israelis abroad
Sarah ,   Rehovot   (03.18.13)
Why can't Israelis at least try not to act like animals when they are abroad? It gives all of us a bad name. I mean Israel is already like a farmyard with its children and adults acting as try do, relieving themselves wherever they please, picking noses in public, pushing and shoving, and blatant disrespect for anything and everyone, but come on... at least try and pretend that you have some class when you are abroad.
5. If...
BK ,   USA   (03.18.13)
stupidity were painful, this guy would be on a morphine drip.
6. stupid, but...
Dennis ,   NJ   (03.18.13)
Ok, this guy overreacted, but I understand his frustration. Airline screws up, and then shrugs their shoulders. Its happened to me (with El Al actually) and I was beyond furious....Airlines need to be accountable for their errors (ie overbookings) and should have kissed his butt with apologies etc. This story doesnt get into if they tried to accomodate him, tho....
7. Last time he'll ever enter the U.S.
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.18.13)
8. welcome home?
DavidR ,   USA   (03.18.13)
When he returns to Israel he should be arrested again for giving Israel a bad name. Punishment should be expulsion to gaza.
9.  Funny movie scenario.
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (03.18.13)
I can t believe it happened in real life.
10. Airline kept him off because he was from Israel
k ,   US   (03.18.13)
I have no doubt the Airline looked at the list of the names of the people who they could not fit on the flight, and they decided to pick the 1 guy from Israel, if anyone does not think anti-semitism is alive and well in the US, then you are in for a rude awakening
11. Wow! Wonder how that Disneyworld trip is working out?
Carl ,   USA   (03.18.13)
And to #1, why in the world would you bash the US on this? The existing jail population is irrelevant when some idiot chooses to commit another crime.
12. Smart move, Evan... enjoy the rest of your vacation.
seadog1946 ,   NJ/NY USA   (03.18.13)
13. lucky he wasn't shipped to guantanamo
Jeff ,   USA   (03.18.13)
the US is pretty sensitive about this sort of thing. wasn't too bright.....
14. Evan that that you were arrested where are you going
I got the punch line   (03.18.13)
I'm going to Disneyland!
15. He did nothing wrong
JCH ,   USA   (03.18.13)
This incident screams of anti-semitism and a blatant disrespect for Gods chosen
16. #4 Israelis abroad can be a nightmare..
Adam   (03.18.13)
At an airport I was on an Easyjet flight, some big gever and his family wanted to skip the line and not buy 'speedy boarding' and just fight for 30 minutes about why he should get it for him and his family for free. Shamless 30 minutes of fighting and screaming, sizing up to her, putting his hand in her face, the flight was delayed because of it. Had this been another airport he'd have been tazered, arrested or refused entry until he calmed down, but thats how they seem to roll here so there was seemingly "no cause for concern." The female Israeli ground staff was later seen crying afterwards. The trouble maker starting mocking her when he seen her consoling herself in the corner. She was in her 20's, he was a big overweight 50 year old. What a gentlemen, no class, no tact. Totally embarrassing.
17. moron
zionist forever   (03.18.13)
Lost baggage is not unusual I know because it happened to me once but usually we follow a procedure to get it back we dont start talking about bombs as a way to get it back. I think its safe to say in future this guy will not be having anymore vacations in the US.
18. Airlines routinely sell more ticket than they can accomodate
leo ,   usa   (03.18.13)
sits. I think it is very good approach to stop such practices. Too bad it may cost a lot, but idea is good.
19. airlines flaunt peoples rights
Larry ,   Los Angeles   (03.18.13)
let's give this a real analysis. the man's bags were on the plane. the airlines then decides there is no room for him. He wants his bags back. They refuse. What can he do? Smile? The airlines feel they can screw their passengers and the passengers really have no recourse. It is a sad state of affairs.
20. He was only denied boarding because he is a Jew...
Cynthia ,   U.S.A.   (03.18.13)
America is no longer what it used to be. I guess too much Muslim Obama influence...
21. Yet another example...
Scott ,   Floirda   (03.18.13)
...of Israelis being incapable of acting in a civilized manner abroad. Throwing a tantrum over everything so as not to be made a 'friar' is why Israel's culture is garbage.
22. WHAT A "SHMUCK"
Yossi   (03.18.13)
23. Idiot
Get Real ,   UK   (03.18.13)
Happens all over the world. In some countries is automatic prison sentence. Wonder which airlines will allow him to fly with them in future.
24. #10: So you think the reason the
Runner1983 ,   USA   (03.18.13)
airline keep this guy off their flight was because he was Israeli, and that was due to anti-semitism, and that anti-semitism is alive and well in the U.S.? And, you live in the U.S.? I feel sorry for you.
25. If hating this jerk is anti-Semitism, then it is justifiable
Michael ,   California, USA   (03.18.13)
26. Who said that Israelis are smart people? ,...
split ,   US   (03.18.13)
27. To #10
Daniel Jarovisky ,   NY, US   (03.18.13)
First of all, Hess is a German name. It seems utter paranoia on your part to say this clown was targeted because he's from Israel. Do not make blank statements about the US having antisemitism, unless you come up with research indicating this. If you live in America you are free to leave. Have a good one wherever you choose to settle.
28. yeah, but...
tom ,   toronto, canada   (03.18.13)
yes, he was being a schmuck, and no, normal people don't make bomb threats... but. it is a major breach of security to fly a bag without the passenger! whether he threw a tantrum or not, the airline *should* have pulled the family's bags off the plane. and even the rent-a-cops doing airport security should have known this. i, for one, want to know which airline it was, because I will avoid flying with them in the future!
29. 24- Do I think?
k ,   US   (03.18.13)
no, I know and if you are a Jew with a Jewish last name, then you are probably in denial If you are not a Jew or do not have a Jewish last name, then you can play like anti-semitism is non existent
30. #4: agree with you 100%
Yosi ,   Tel Aviv   (03.18.13)
I have travelled to some, 35 countries in the past decade and somehow, somewhere, always some arrogent israeli pushing, shoving, cutting lines, hogging up food at eateries, with extreme disrespect for others. Sure I will admit, everywhere one can find these sort, but Israelis abroad, as well as within, ...well lets just say that I'm disgusted.
