Chaim said: "Right Colorado You Understand Everything." Not everything, but a lot. I'm married to someone who grew up in Indonesia at the same time as Obama. Therefore, I can "read" things Obama is doing from a perspective not many others share or recognize.
Chaim said: "You think Obama is Indonesian, because he spent time in Indonesia? What does that mean?" No, no--you got it all wrong. Obama is not Indonesian, but neither does he have anything to do with Kenya. Because Obama spent his formative years in Java, he picked up Indonesian cultural adjustments and norms. He didn't "spend time" in Indonesia. He essentially grew up there, so his personality was largely formed there. It's a developmental thing, Chaim. You wouldn't understand.
Chaim said: "You make it sound like Indonesians are devious, and that's pure bigotry." That's rich. Indonesians are wonderful people if they haven't been influenced by Iranian Moslem evangelists (as in Aceh). They are warm, friendly, kind, and genuine. They are not devious as a rule, but of course they can be--but with them it is more like shrewd and unbending. But they are much smarter than they let on. Their "unassuming" presentation is no different than any other culture's norms anywhere in the world. It's just that the WAY they communicate is specific to Indonesia, naturally. They are an island warrior culture of more than 17,000 islands--all ruled by Java, where Obama spent his formative years. Javanese are the "kings" of Indonesia and believe they are superior. Obama can "wield" Indonesian cultural social interactions deftly. It's a world culture thing, Chaim. You wouldn't understand.
Chaim said: "Obama has been nothing but a great President to Israel. Israel could not ask for better." Really? By installing pro-jihad Moslem Brotherhood leaders in the surrounding areas except for Jordan (yet) and by giving Egypt, for example, twice as much military aid and hardware as Israel? By claiming that Netanyahu is THE problem in the Middle East. Obama thus illustrates the goal of his foreign policy as regards Israel. It's an isolate, then dominate Israel thing, Chaim. You wouldn't understand.
Chaim said: "Perhaps the President took off his jacket because it's hot." Well maybe--but it was only in the low 70s. Obama keeps the White House much hotter than that, and on Java, 85 degrees is a cool day, plus it's more humid (80%), so the weather is experienced as more warm than the temperature. For Obama the temperature in Israel was rather cold. The "jacket over the shoulder" move is a classic American pose for camera. The "GQ" MANNER in which he did it has taken a lot of practice to get right. Sure everyone can toss their suit jacket over their shoulder, but there is a particular way to do it to make it look like the person is relaxed, friendly, in charge, and authoritative all at once. It's all in the position of the hand in relation to the suit jacket, and positioning of the elbow. It's a filmmaking thing, Chaim. You wouldn't understand.
