1. Defeat in the elections?
Shalom ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (03.21.13)
Bibi won a further term in office, in case you didn't notice, although his party lost seats. Or say that Obama was defeated in the elections because the Republicans won the House. I won't bother to refute this commentator's guesses about how Israel will have to concede this or that, time will tell.
2. wrong!
dolma ,   croatia   (03.21.13)
Stopped reading after "axis of stable Sunni countries to counter the Iran-led radical Shiite axis, which is seeking hegemony in the Middle East. The main candidates to join this pro-Western axis are the Gulf States, Turkey, Jordan, Egypt and perhaps Algeria and Morocco as well." What kind of blind sheep can write this and have it published?
3. US Knows that Abbas Is Iran's Ally
Chaim Ben Kahan ,   Efrat, Israel   (03.21.13)
First off, Bibi did not lose the election. If you notice Bibi is still Prime Minister. That's hardly losing. Second, The coalition was tough making, but they fell into Bibi's trap. Bibi got everything he wanted and can blame it on others. Third, this meeting is substantive, the meeting is about the upcoming military action against Iran. That is more important than the fake peace talks with Abbas who is Iran's ally. In short it's a great day for US-Israel relations and Obama has been a great president for Israel and Bibi a great Prime Minister.
4. New Start...Obama, Kerry, EU, UN, ICC to impose '67 borders
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (03.21.13)
...and let the parties negotiate 2 States, 1 Country, or both, or neither.
5. Let's be Bluntly Honest
Edward ,   New York USA   (03.21.13)
Obama will fail to get the parties together mainly because it was his statement about freezing the settlements that pushed Abbas up the settlement freeze tree. Now Abbas is afraid to get down. Obama will never order an attack on Iran nor intervene in Syria. Turkey under Erdogan will never give up the dream of his own Calaphite built on the back of antisemitism. So Israel will be left alone to deal with Syria and Iran. Syria and Iran will wind up in ashes form an Israeli pre-emptive attack leaving the Jewish state to prosper for centuries to come.
6. Yair lapid Bibi
Bill Stein ,   USA   (03.21.13)
There will be new elections very soon if Lapid did what you say because Bennett and most of Likud would bring down the goverment if there are any more compromises. Lapid Owes Bennett big time if he reneges Lapid will loose the next election as well as Bibi when the goverment falls because of your suggestions.
7. friction in best marriages
Larry ,   Los Angeles   (03.21.13)
So there are frictions, but there are frictions in the best marriages. It seems that Obama is going out of his way to placid Bibi. Good for them both. We can use peace between US and us.
8. Obama the Selfdeceived Usefull Idiot ?.
Arn. ,   Sweden.   (03.21.13)
But how would the Word of HASHEM come true without such Persons ?. HASHEM rules the Worls Supreme, and the Usefull Idiots also, However, this does not Excuse those Persons Usefull Idiocy. If Obama would be a Prudent and Wise Person, He would stand behind Israels Opinions and and support Her Secretly from behind, and side with Her Openly. But this Wisdom is lacking in the US, She thinks She is the Biggest in the World, However, regarding the Wisdom of Understanding the Mideast, She is Not. She will therefore Fail in all her Mideast Policy, playing the Harlot with Bouth Sides. Her Demigod the Dollar are leading Her astray. Arn.Sweden.
9. Yeah, behind all the fake smiles!!!
Jake Stone ,   USA   (03.21.13)
Lies a heart of deceit!!!
10. With Hamas in play it makes any future bleak
JO   (03.21.13)
Lets say we can hope for a moderate secular Palestine? That will never happen with Hamas in play? How could you divide Gaza from the issue and have a moderate Palestine. Hamas aims are well known. So maybe two Palestines? And how will they run, one on charity and another on less charity. The dilemmas go on....
11. BARF ALERT!
DavidR ,   USA   (03.21.13)
Perhaps the terrorists in gaza should aim their rockets at Y-Net for posting all these pictures of the grining hyena that serve to turn our stomachs. Oy Vey! He's everywhere!
12. Clueless
howard singer ,   pittsburgh, USA   (03.21.13)
The author of this article is clueless and has no concept of international diplomacy.
13. Full time job: Destroy America. Part time: endanger Israel.
Chaim ,   Israel   (03.22.13)
That sums up the Obama presidency. Anyone who doubt this need merely google the huge increase in unemployment, welfare, food stamp usage, deficits and every other negative indicator since Obama was inaugurated.
14. Behind all the chaos. China wants OB's oil.
Adi ,   Zurich   (03.24.13)
Behind all the chaos. China wants OB's oil.
15. yes, but why al-Qaeda?
Pablo Schwartz ,   Pittsburgh, U.S.   (03.25.13)
I "get" that there's something like a .. regional rivalry between Tel Aviv and Tehran, but the main show seems to be between the Shia, under siege across the Muslim world with few exceptions, and the Saudi Wahhabist cult, which seeks to take over the Muslim world by *blowing things up*. Siding with the latter doesn't make particular sense, especially in light of the official non.existence of Judaism and Christianity within the borders of the Wahhabi Entity, i.e., "Saudi Arabia."
