1. Why are they still here?
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.21.13)
More importantly, why does Israel impose a gag order? What, we're supposed to be delicate about "inflaming" "already tense situations" while elderly Israeli women get brutalized and raped by drunken Africans? Ever stop to think that they are the cause of the "tense situation?" Why are we protecting them from righteous anger and justice at the expense of our elderly? This is much like the case of the elderly man who was beaten and stomped by two fifteen year old Arabs in Petach Tiqva. Can we worry a bit less about the sensibilities of African and Arab hoodlums, and a bit more about the rights and privileges of Jews to live in safety and security and without fear of molestation in the Jewish state?
2. #1 because they have

immigrants they deserve! I was oleh chadash before, I could not find a suitable job, could not pay an expensive rental. Some Israelis refused me a job, even a modest one as a postman, because I came from a poor country and had "no education", as they said me. So, stay with Africans, Sudanese, it's what they deserve. Enjoy! I'm sorry for this lady.

I'm sorry for your allegedly bad experience, but suspect your inability to be hired had nothing whatsoever to do with hailing from a "poor country". Israel has masses of immigrants from desperately poor as well as affluent countries, and by and large, these olim manage. Your statement that the Africans are the "immigrants they deserve" is skewed. These sullying Tel Aviv and other cities are not immigrants, but undesirable illegals.
4. Why aren't they sent home?

Whether you come from a "poor" country or a "rich" one, if you, yourself don't have money, you can't make it in Israel. There are plenty of 'rich" American olim living on the streets. Those who finally have had enough of it return to their countries of origin. And forget the propaganda from Nfesh b'Nfesh.
6. #3 most than welcome immigrants
(03.21.13)
Honey, I suppose you haven’t been in Israel yet. I mean there is discrimination against national origin, yes, there is – and I can tell you a lot about that. Israelis prefer to hire an illegal immigrant, dodge taxes and pay them less for their labor hour. That’s why they come into Israel, it’s plenty of jobs for them; it’s the mafia, of course, those bring and use them. Decadent country: Tel Aviv is an ugly city; buildings on the scrapheap… go there and take a look.

Well, how much education do you have? Can you read Hebrew well enough to deliver mail? Can you pass a civil service exam in Hebrew? Did you insist on living in Jerusalem or Tel Aviv or Haifa, or would you have settled for a less expensive area to live, say, Ashdod, or somewhere in the north? Did you do an Ulpan? Kibbutz ulpans, by the way, are the most effective ones. I'm sorry that your experience with aliyah was unpleasant. But you did not provide enough information for anyone to be able to judge whether you were not given the requisite tools to integrate into Israeli society, or if you did not have them to begin with. But it has nothing to do with the country that you are from.

I go to Telaviv every year for work for 2 to 4 month at a time. And I have to completely disagree with you. You think Telaviv is ugly city? You got to be out of your mind. Detroit, MI is an ugly city. Telaviv is incredible.

Hi, Sarah B. Thanks for your reply, honey; I love people from the USA. Yes, I’m academic (not Harvard nor Oxford, but academic) – deliver mail is so easy, and I learned some Hebrew here, when I was a young teenager. My ulpan is level beit-guimel, so…not able to pass a civil service exam, but OK for some modest job, just to start. Everybody needs to work. I will use my Israeli passport to try green card lottery. It’s my personal vendetta. Let Sabras stay with Sudanese and Naturei Karta. Well done for them. Israel is balagan. Best wishes. My aunt is also named Sara B.

How wrong you are. I'm Israeli myself, presently working on contract in Poland. I know my country, all right.

10 others from his homeland. Tell them the next time we will behead 100. As for the two punks that stomped the old man. Break their kneecaps. Make sure their families pay all the medical expenses for the old man, plus give the prents 5 years in prison for raising a couple of sub humans.

Nice to know you are Israeli. How about olim chadaszim? Am I regarded to be an Israeli, like you? I wanted to be Israeli, me too, get a job, speak ivrit and stay... why is it so hard? I was so Zionist when I was young...be well.

I mostly like Brazil. Not Rio, though. I've always thought it is only a matter of time until the people who live in those million-dollar homes looking down over the favellas figure out that the people in the favellas can look up at the million-dollar homes. Sao Paulo is -- well -- okay. Santos, Itajai and Imbituba are hell-holes. I like Recife and Joao Pessoa, and the beaches at Pipa just might be the best in the world. Green card lottery in the United States? Sure, why not? You know that you can enter as many times as you wish. If you do mean the U.S., you should come to New York. Did you know that West 46th Street from Fifth Avenue to Eighth Avenue is called "Little Brazil?"

Well, the poor 83-year-old woman was raped and sodomized, and I started a long discussion about kind of immigrants that come into Israel. Because I loved Israel so much and it disappointed me. Because I spent my money there for nothing; I sold my apartment, but could not buy apartment in Israel. I lost. That's why I said: stay with the infiltrators, stay with them - enjoy their friendship and their love for you; Ha-tzabarim, Sabras don't like us, they don't give us opportunities. Only sponja. So, to reply auntie Serele: I haven't been in the States yet, but I'd love to! NY is the Jewish city, I know that - little Brazil is not for me. USA is the country of freedom, you can do everything you want to, work, study – you see, I wanted to learn yidish when I was a boy, but no teachers in my area. You have everything you wish in America, I guess it's the perfect country to be happy. USA, Canada and Australia are the best of all. You know, countries like that don't accept immigrants without skills. Israel does. Maybe it's a big mistake they are doing, those infiltrators will have children and they will grow up like Palestinians, and this will be another problem to Israel very soon. I’m not racist, and I know there are bad Jews. But Israel is a small country… Excuse me, it's none of mine business, but I don't understand why people like you leave America for Israel. Maybe you are very Zionist and altruistic person. I was. I give up. Be well, gute nacht.

I haven't "left" the United States. I am a United States citizen. I did make aliyah -- my husband, after all, is Israeli -- and my children were born there. I am very Zionist, and I am very altruistic. My parents, z"l, were concentration camp survivors and I know exactly just how quickly people turn on Jews. I freely admit, however, that despite everything that the United States can -- and has -- offered me can be taken away in an instant. If you wake me up at 3:00 a.m. and ask me, "what are you?" I would answer "I am Jewish." That's the single, overriding center of myself. And I am smart enough to realize that the only source of true safety that I can experience -- just for being me, i.e., Jewish -- will be in Israel. The world tends to forget that Germany was once thought to be the focal point of tolerance and ecumenism in the world. Didn't work out that way. Wouldn't work out that way in the United States. While I don't think it likely that Americans will ever turn upon Jews, I cannot discount the possibility. I've basically made my choice. I'm Jewish ... of all the things I can call myself, that is what I prize most highly. I'm nowhere near ready to retire, but when I do, Israel will be my home. I like the idea of living where being Jewish is not considered an anomaly. Ciao.

Good luck, but don't forget: to be happy there, you must forget yourself Arabs want to kill us. Someone told me this joke. Also, don't go south Tel Aviv (like Hatikvah neighborhood, plenty of infiltrators). Go Raanana, Herzlyah, if you can, choose beautiful places like that. I believe you know Israel better than me. Ciao, Arrivederci ed Auguri.

Actually, we have a home in Saviyyon and an apartment in Tel Aviv (more convenient for short stays). We've also been known to stay in a hotel on REALLY short stays! :)
