31. Philistines prevented "Exodus" along Mediteranean coast
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (03.21.13)
...and were inhabitants of that land long before Jews were Jews.
32. To nr 18: There is no "Palestine" in the Bible nor in the...
Alexander ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (03.21.13)
...Koran. There is no letter "p" in Arabic, "Palestine" is a Roman/Latin name, no "Palestinian" people, nation, tribe, culture, state, civilization, language, alphabet, religion, kings and dynasties have ever existed in recorded history. Prove me wrong... You cannot fight for a country that has never ever been yours Hakim in recorded history. You are not fighting for something Hakim. You are fighting against something. A state does not interest you. But Arabizing the Middle East is your real motive.

Not to mention what I will use against your face - and the object in question will be a lot heavier and harder than a shoe...
34. To nr 31
Alexander ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (03.22.13)
Actually, the Philistines were not inhabitants of the land before the Jews settled there. Just check historical records. And Philistines lived primarily in what is today Gaza, Ashdod and Ashqelon. The Hebrews lived inland in Judea, Samaria, Galilee, northern Negev, Golan, Southern Lebanon and eastern Jordan/Trans-Jordan. And Philistines have nothing to do with Arabs. The Philistines were more or less destroyed as a civilization somewhere between 900 - 600 BCE - centuries before Sharif Omar lead the Arab invasion of Israel in 636 CE. And Philistines came from Crete originally. You know - small details that lack real importance in this world....
35. Bennett and reality
Dan ,   Washington, DC   (03.22.13)
Bennett is doing what we were all supposed to do. He is learning from history. History has taught that giving up land for peace eventually leads to rocket attacks from that very land and not to peaceful co-existence. Israel unilaterally removed every settler from Gaza and got rockets. It gave autonomy to the Judea and Sumeria and got suicide bombers. Now even Sinai is a place from which rockets are being fired. When one looks at the historic map of the Palestinian territory it is clear that Israel even including Judea and Sumeria makes up a minute portion of that territory. Most of what made up the Palestinian territory is already an Arab state. It is the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. All the territory of Judea and Sumeria were liberated from the Kingdom of Jordan. Bennett is right. We need a one state solution and the Kingdom of Jordan should take in as full citizens the Palestinian people that live in Israel that prefer to live in an Arab state. For those that opt to become citizens of Israel be aware that means all the responsibilities along with all the rights of a citizen. No longer will you be allowed to live as an enemy within our borders and not face the legal consequences
36. Bennett and many Israelis do not understand...
Samuel ,   Australia   (03.22.13)
...that rockets will not stop until Israel withdraws from ALL territories seized in 1967. To say ""The results of our latest withdrawal were felt this morning in Sderot..." is simply misleading. This is because the Palestinians are fighting for complete autonomy in the West Bank and Gaza. Please withdraw completely, or admit that you do not want peace.
37. our land???
Robin   (03.22.13)
Our land? It seems that Bennett went only to Bible courses and missed the History. The real one! :-)
38. kishkush!
oded   (03.22.13)
obama got it wrong(again!), and bennet got it so right! the myth of "occupation' " should finally be rest to peace- where were the palis in 1960s for example when under jordanian/egyptian rule ,they never had one simgle aspirarationother then(still do) to eradicate israel??
39. #36, and how do you explain the terrorism before 1967?
Jake ,   USA   (03.22.13)
40. Bennett thinks Obama was talking about SF
Talia   (03.22.13)
where his parents came from.
41. To: 37 (our land??)
Simon ,   Milwaukee, USA   (03.22.13)
You mean Jerusalem isn't part of Israel??
42. #23. Calling Obama a "Zionist" denotes sick mindset.
Chaim ,   Israel   (03.22.13)
#23. Calling Obama a "Zionist" denotes a truly sick mindset. Obama is the most hostile U.S. President Israel has ever faced. However, given your constant ridiculous posts calling for a 9 mile wide Israel; it is certainly not surprising.
43. Our land, their land, your land, my land...
Michael Steiner ,   Bahrain   (03.22.13)
Still droning on about "whose" land it supposedly is, which is completely beside the point. It proves nothing and it solves nothing. Even if it legally was "our land" (which it's not), it's inhabitants have a right to self-determination. The Middle Eastern narrative has really not moved on an inch since decades ago. Sad, sad, sad...
44. #29 Gunnar- You compared Naftali to Palestinians - NOT!
Rachel ,   US   (03.22.13)
Whether you agree with Bennett, he was elected. When was the last Palestinian election?
45. Isaeli retreat the direct cause of almost all evils.
Chaim ,   Israel   (03.22.13)
I salute Bennett for telling the obvious truth. The ONLY reason Israel suffered (and still suffers) the recent Lebanon and Gaza Wars, rockets by the tens of thousands and endless misery is because of Israeli retreats. Israeli retreats are the direct cause of almost all the evil from which Israel suffers. This land is ours now and forever. Rather than retreat; Israel needs to retake our lands we so foolishly abandoned.
46. Our Land
Dan ,   Washington DC   (03.22.13)
Yes historically and now as a fact on the ground Judea and Sumeria is Israeli land. The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan conquered and occupiedOUR LAND in the War of Independence. There were no cries from the international community then. At that time all the attackers wanted was to push us off the map and into the sea. Had they succeeded the world would not have lifted a finger. It is only after Israel liberated this land in a defensive war that it returned to its rightful owners. Palestinians have a country and many places they can call home. They share blood and culture with the people living under Hashemite rule. It is the Hashemites who deny them citizenship and equality forcing them to live in refugee camps. Bennett got it right Israel tried land for peace. It forced the expulsion of Israelis in hope that there would be no more bloodshed and it failed. Only a fool repeats an action expecting a different result. Let us learn from our Arab neighbours and expel the enemy from within back land that also was part of the Palestinian Mandate or any nation of their choosing. Arabs expelled and confiscated Jewish owned land in Arab countries that would equate to more than ten times the entire State of Israel. We tried it one way time to try it their way.
47. Get out of my country
to Samuel at 36 ,   Australia   (03.22.13)
Samuel - Israel left the Sinai dismantling its cities. Samuel - Israel left Gaza dismantling its cities. Samuel, please dismantle yourself and leave my beautiful country surrounded by ocean, that saves you and your family from the problems of the world. You don't belong here in Australia! I am sure there is work for you in Tehran.
48. Israel is doomed ....don't you realize it?
Edithann ,   USA   (03.22.13)
The Palestinians will never give up their claim..now or in 500+++ years... are you all willing to live this way for another 500+++ years?....Where will you military be? You can't even raise one now and are looking at Haredi to fill in.....what happened to that mighty army?...Any new wars will necessitate 'feet on the ground'..is Isael up to it for the future?... With so many settlemets taking up most of the land, how will you feed all of them on what's left?..And what about the water..will there ever be enough? You've been sold a bill of goods that had no thought behind it..and you're reverting back to type...building walls around walls... Who said the US would support Israel? No way Jose...... TATA
49. Ynet hasn't gotten the OK to post dissident views yet...TATA
Edithann ,   USA   (03.22.13)
50. Universal humanistic Messianism
Zechariah   (03.22.13)
G-d owns the Land However G-d is defined in the humanitarian context and a human Rights Security states mandates universalism with Iron Clad Security for the Jewish people and those Gentiles who have the capacity to live in Peace with the Mass of the Jewish People and the Humankind .
51. PLO existed before 1967
Chaim Ben Kahan ,   Efrat, Israel   (03.22.13)
The conflict has nothing to do with "settlements" or the "occupation", but everything to do with the Palestinian goal to destroy Israel. That is what we are facing. Lets not pretend differently. We must defend our right to exist and realize that any land we withdraw from will be used to attack us.
52. 38 Palestinian before had no desire for a State
lydia ,   Brisbane   (03.22.13)
Funny that. under Jordon/Egypt rule they never demanded their own State but under Israel racist apartheid rule they intend to fight for their Statehood and end the illegal occupation of their land
53. To: 36
Simon ,   Milwaukee, USA   (03.22.13)
Israel "seized" the territories because they were under a viscous attack in 1967.
54. #5 My homeland is frozen...
Moshe Yehud ,   USA   (03.22.13)
I have no desire to live there even when the ice sheet melts. Likewise if my homeland was a desert full of people who needed to be displaced for me to live there and the displacing made them angry in addition to others who are angry for different reasons, I wouldn't want to live there. And this has nothing to do with WWII and not being able to live in Europe. The Zionists were already in Palestine. Most refugees did not go there. Most came to leave Russia. Ireland would be more of a homeland for me than my original polar homeland. Likewise Russia would be the same for many Israelis. The thing about these states these days is immigration is easy for anybody in most places. Israel is the exception. Double standard. Besides, the bible doesn't take place there anyways
55. "Abbas is a true partner for peace"
Shalom ,   U.S.A.   (03.22.13)
A Holocaust denier?
56. #4 ed, #12 gunnar - 100% wrong
solomon ,   bklyn   (03.22.13)
Shooting rockets to kill people, and trashing cars are the same thing? Both are not right, but they are not the same thing. Naftali Bennet, who is not swearing to disavow peace and kill his enemy, is the same as Hamas, who try to kill for the sake of killing? The fact that you think these are the same only prove how blind you both are.
57. Talking about Israelis occupy Eretz Israel (Land of Israel)
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (03.22.13)
is akin to talking about the English occupy Eng-Land; or talking about the Germans occupying Doitch-land. Not only historically the land in question is the ancestral homeland of the Hebrew/Israeli/Jewish people - which even Obama has finally come to realize and recognize - but also legally, this part of Eretz Israel (Land of Israel), located between the Jordan River and the Med. Sea, has been assigned to the Jewish people by the League of Nations, 1922, to be "the national home for the Jewish people", an act that that was then adopted by the UN and etched into its Charter, Article 80, 1945.
58. Labours Bungle
Zircon   (03.22.13)
Labour with its thirteen mandates ought prepare uniting with the Haredim to stop Habayit Hayehudi Sabotaging Peace or at least a long Truce by excess activity that will prevent Area c becoming a huge Jewish Military zone with Arab mega cities with full underground shelters .The Jews will protect the Arabs of Eretz Yisroel from the psychos in Iran El Quedi and the Ba'ath Torturers.
59. in 1834 "Palestinians" slaughtered the Jews in Hebron
Golan ,   Modiin   (03.22.13)
Let us put them under the sword for 150 years and then we can "see" things from their eyes. Besides, it was the Arabs who colonized Israel. We are the returning refugees. And when talking of occupation lets talk about the Arab occupation of Medina, a Jewish territory stolen by Muhammad and this thugs.
60. It is not fair that an American Indian cannot grow up in a l
