1. Is Israeli tourist giving bilions of $ to Turkish tourism industy :) Come on..They are taking the towels from the hotels :))) Everybody knows this. 2.Erdogan accepted the apology so that he would give economical aid and power to Gaza.Netenyahu already acceted his 3rd rule..
62. please we want israeli tourists...
ap ,   istanbul   (03.23.13)
Turkey has got 25 million visitors every year and it is increasing more and more.. :(
63. Who talks about expulsion?
Ralph Haglund ,   Lund, Sweden   (03.23.13)
What about making palestine arabs WANT to move to Jordan? If Israel and Jordan cooperate more about making the desert a nice place to live, Jordan is BIG. Now Jordan has 78 persons per km2, with ALL the palestine arabs it would be 118/km2 compared to the much higher density of arabs in Gaza, area A, B. Israel even cultivate fish in te Negev, cooperation to make Jordan more livable AND helping with security so they do not have to be afraid of an influx of arabs, could be workable. Turkey wants Israel to be nicer to Gaza than only 2-300 lorries of goods every day, so will Turkey help Israel with stopping the weapons flow to Gaza?

Actually, in 2011, Turkey had around 31 million tourists. In 2012, Turkey had around 19 million tourists. Oops! That doesn't sound like "increasing" to me. It's only going to get worse, what with the problems in Syria. And the ones about to come in Iran.

Get Real ,   UK   (03.23.13)
Good that this apology has been made, especially with the Syrian and Iranian issues still to be resolved. Best for the US and Israel to have Turkey's support on any actions in these matters. Also now Turkey may return to a more balanced view on Israel's position re the Palestinians and their terror attacks against Israel.
66. And the reward from Erdogan for Israel' s

67. Israel has met our main demands

That's a pretty good observation, I saw it too. There have been less and less talks about Israel and Palestine in the media after Israel's recent operation was over. But I've been seeing news about Iran all over. Sometimes about economy, sanctions, Iranian officials outright criticizing Turkey or even about Iran supporting terrorist organizations in Turkey. It's as if they're building up public support for a strike against Iran.
69. israel has poor history of paying compensation.
USS LIBERTY   (03.23.13)
Israel has yet to pay one penny of compensation to the suvivsors of the sneak attack, in which 34 American were murder & 172 wounded.

Chaim Ben Kahan ,   Efrat, Israel   (03.23.13)
Of course she is! I forgot about her and her identity theft. She never posts under her old name. What name is she using these days?
73. To: No. 51 and No. 68
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.23.13)
The reason is that Turkey figured out pretty quickly that its attempted rapprochement with Iran was a gosh-darned stupid move -- has been for a while, actually -- but the last straw was Iran's interjection in the internecine quarrel in Syria. Erdogan may not have wanted a rapprochement with Israel, but he needs one. He also doesn't want to see Turkey booted out of NATO. I'm guessing that Turkey was forced to choose, and did.
74. #69 USS Liberty was awful and so is lying
Kerwood Derby ,   Frostbite Falls   (03.23.13)
In May 1968, the Israeli government paid US$3,323,500 (US$22.2 million in 2013) as full payment to the families of the 34 men killed in the attack. In March 1969, Israel paid a further $3,566,457 in compensation to the men who had been wounded. On 18 December 1980, it agreed to pay $6 million as settlement for the final U.S. bill of $17,132,709 for material damage to the Liberty itself plus 13 years' interest.[7]
75. To #69...Tell the whole truth!!!
Jake Stone ,   USA   (03.23.13)
And, this from a former US Navy sailor, so no bias. Hey, #69 why don't you tell the whole truth! The USS Liberty was spying on Israel during a time of active war (1967: The Six Days War). The Liberty was off the coast of the Sinai, tracking Israeli movements and conveying that information to the Israeli enemies. I would have blown you completely out of the water for betraying an ally (the Liberty personel were traitors)! They deserved what they got, so get over it, because you only had yourselves to blame. Israel was being kind paying out reparations, so be grateful that you still have your life! God Israel Israel; praying for the peace of Jerusalem!!! Christian Zionist

Levo ,   Istanbul, Turkey   (03.24.13)
a single Israeli which one can independently verify on-line! Turkey welcomes Israeli tourists if they desire to come our way but if they don't that is perfectly fine as well.
78. Turkey wasn't looking for Isreal...Israel has
Edithann ,   USA   (03.26.13)
so few fiends it needs Turkey... But it wont last long..and then no one can ever trust Israel..It's their history... Israel must make reparations to Turkey and their military up for trial... TATA
