5. Shelly Yacimovich {I agree}
Rosenvald ,   Brazil   (03.23.13)
opposition leader Shelly Yacimovich on Friday praised Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's decision to reconcile with his Turkish counterpart, saying it is "best to swallow one's pride and do what is beneficial for the state."
6. Oh Israel, you crapped on yourself
Cameron ,   USA   (03.23.13)
Congrats, you just earned the contempt of the entire ME. Deservedly so. Madness in the name of maneuvering. Can't blame #1 above for smiling from ear to ear.
7. Hey Turgut...
Eddy ,   Israel   (03.23.13)
What about Armenia, you low life?
8. To No 1 Smirna, not Izmir?
Jim Tel-Aviv   (03.23.13)
Turgut, so it is Smirna, not Izmir? Nice admission, thanks. Will Agiya Sophia finally be returned to its rightful owners, i.e. Christians? We do have a shame, yes, unfortunately that's what realpolitik is about - Israel has to bear with "friends" like Turkey in a view of Iranian threat.
9. Way to go Obama.... supports Hamas terrorists via Ankara....
Mike   (03.23.13)
releases 700 million dollars for PA and gives 200 million to Jordon for terrorists in Syria who also get US guns and training. World should be in good shape after your next 4 years.
10. erDOGan will not go to Gaza.
Rosenvald ,   Brazil   (03.23.13)
Haniyeh : Madona to visit Gaza. He just talk, what he whant. And Turky is more important than erDOGan. We will deal whit Turky about Syria and Iran.
11. Israel stood its ground on the last condition;
Rosenvald ,   Brasil   (03.23.13)
The Turkish prime minister insisted on the Israeli prime minister paying obeisance to Turkish national honor. And finally Netanyahu relented. But Israel stood its ground on the last condition; a UN probe had pronounced the Israeli blockade legal and legitimate although its raid on the Turkish ship was deemed “excessive.” So the blockade remains in place and, indeed, Friday, March 23, Israel’s new defense minister, Moshe Yaalon, tightened it by restricting the Gaza offshore areas open to Palestinian Mediterranean fishermen.

13. our prime minister has no shame
real turk ,   istanbul   (03.23.13)
he normalised relations without the lifting of the illegal zionist blockade. he is coward!
14. Never again trust the Turks
Mike ,   Alkmaar, Netherlands   (03.23.13)
Whatever Israel was forced to say or not say, the events of the past few years have shown who the Turkish people and its government really are. Nothing will undo that impression. The events of the past few weeks in the Netherlands only serve to strengthen that impression of a total lack of civilization and a primitive people. Next time there is a vote about the EU status of Turkey, the results will be exteremly clear: NO!
15. #1 We are a decent nation
Kobi Martin   (03.23.13)
Don't pay attention to this so called Sarah B. She is kind of disturbed, decrepit and religious fanatical. But she has a point. You should have learnt the lesson of not creating a new turmoil. It is difficult for Israel to accept provocations like this. Wouldn't it be easier to visit Ramalla? Why start all the balagan again?
16. What planet are you from @1
tzahi ,   israel   (03.23.13)
Shouldn't you be locking up journalists, extinguishing secular education and killing kurds? Don't throw stones when you live in a glass house called turkey!
17. NEWSFLASH Haniyeh to Kurds. We want 2see Kurdistan FREE! LOL
Obsessive ,   Turkey   (03.23.13)
HAHAHAHAHAHAH Haniyeh, Thanks a lot for this declaration. People really need 2 see wtf u r & yr true face. Shokraaan yaaa Habibi! I can't buy this with money. Haniyeh; Saladin was speaking Turkish and his brothers were carrying Pro-Turkish names. OUR BOY! Haniyehhh, All ignorant savages need a history lesson! From China Wall,Taj Mahal to Iceland.
18. The joke's on Ol' Bibi!!!
Jake Stone ,   USA   (03.23.13)
Obama and his Muslim brothers' just made Netanyahu look like a FOOL! Israel deserves a better leader who has some Jewish pride!!!
19. Netanyahu is a FOOL!!!
Eli Bodie ,   USA   (03.23.13)
Not very wise to blame your elite soldiers for doing there jobs! The tactical mistake was having paint-ball guns and not real weapons! And, now...the bigger tactical mistake is having this coward for a Prime Minister!
20. #1 Turgut
David Israel ,   New York, USA   (03.23.13)
You know the Turkish saying 'Korle yatan sasi kalkar'. Your PM is constantly going to bed with blind people that he is already blind himself too that soon he will break your country into two pieces where Abdullah Ocalan will be the president of the Diyarbakir /Gaziantep republic. Hadi hayirlisi.
21. Free the Kurds!
Kurdy ,   Kurdistan   (03.23.13)
Free the Kurds!
22. Real Turk and Obsessive
David Israel ,   New York, USA   (03.23.13)
Didn't you know that AKP / Erdogan the puppets of Fethullah Gulen's Nurcu sect are Kurdish separatists and they are splitting the country slowly and carefully? First they put all the military high brass loyal to the Turkish republic to Jail in Silivri so that they would not prevent this and now they are negotiating with Abdullah Ocalan. Soon He will be released from Imrali and walk in to Diyarbakir in triumph.
23. 1 - i am preparing my shelter just in case
Sarah B. ,   U.S.A / Israel   (03.23.13)
you know better be safe than sorry. regards from sarah..
24.  Ouch!
ky   (03.23.13)
As time passes perhaps it will become clear what is in this for Israel. Or on the other hand, perhaps not and it will become clear Netanyahu was grabbed by his short and curly's .
25. Smart move by Bibi
Tom ,   USA   (03.23.13)
This was a smart move by Netanyahu. These criticisms are childish. A private statement of regret, money for a humanitarian fund and no lifting of the blockade is basically a cost-free exchange. Turkish leadership compromised due to larger interests. Now Syria and Iran can get better coordination. Syria and Iran can't be happy about this. Good for Israel.
26. Erdogan succumbed to his need for Israeli military equipment
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (03.23.13)
He and Netanyahu are just two unprincipled politicians. Great bedfellows !!
27. who needs to apologise
Brian ,   UK   (03.23.13)
Obama may be a 'smooth' operator, but the facts don't change. So what if he 'made' Israel make what amounts to an empty apology, it's the other side that should be making it. No aid was found on that 'relief ship', the passengers fired first, and the soldiers who landed on deck were doing so lawfully.
28. #25 Smart move?
Thessalonian ,   Canada   (03.23.13)
Tom, apologizing to those who lay down the red carpet for terrorists like Hamas every other day is not where Israel wants to and should be. Netanyahu sold the farm for the benefit of the recently souring American-Turkish relationship. Has he forgotten Davos and the humiliation of Peres by a finger pointing and shouting Turk? Did he watch the video of the flottila provocation fiasco whereby the IDF soldiers were nearly fatally assaulted by Turkish thugs? Is he kosher with Erdogan's dayly slander and definition of zionism as a crime against humanity in combination with his subsequent world wide declaration of the latter? Does he sympathize with those who embrace Hamas and their nausiating Charter? Let me guess, he doesn't, but he ate the generous Turkish humble pie serving for the benefit of Israel... Now that's patriotism! Regards
29. # 27..Along with that apology goes the fines Israel must pay
Edithann ,   USA   (03.23.13)
and honor the civil cases that crime created... Love it..it's just getting better and better and Israel is getting smaller and smaller and walled in on itself... TATA
30. It's Good for the World to See that Erdogan Is a Terrorist
Chaim Ben Kahan ,   Efrat, Israel   (03.23.13)
Erdogan is a friend of Assad, a friend of Ahmenidajad, and a friend of Haniyeh. In short a friend of Islamic terrorist. The world sees this and makes the connection more and more. The NATO soldiers do not trust Turkey anymore, the Europeans trust Turkey less and less as well. The United States in private speaks of Turkey as an Islamist nation. We know not all the Turkish people are Jihadist, just those who support Erdgoan. There are still educated people in Turkey who oppose Erdogan who live under oppression. Please Erdgoan go visit the terrorist in Gaza and announce to the world that you yourself are a proud Jihadi.
