1. And the global Jihadists in eretz Yisroel? Expel them notJew
Jason Robards ,   Madurodam, Holland   (03.23.13)
Admit it BB, this is playing out perfectly for you maintaining control. You wag the dog of Iran and other existential realities yet continue to destroy the people you serve by ordering those who are sworn to protect them to instead destroy them. You are building a magnificent immoral mount of achievements against the people you serve with a foundation of ceding the first land of the first Jew to those that come to kill you to voting over&over&over&over again to destroy 10000 lives of those you serve and the dog wagging while you destroy Migron? And dont forget Yosef and Yitzar. Why is it you have a expulsive feelings for your own in the land of their own name and never ever order the expulsion of the genocidal mass murdering extortionists back to the homicidal Hamite peninsular homeland of their own name?
2. We Know the Reason Bibi
Chaim Ben Kahan ,   Efrat, Israel   (03.23.13)
Bibi, There is no reason to explain. We know that Israel is not sorry for killing terrorist. Those terrorist deserved their fate. Even my Turkish friends (who despise the Islamist Erdogan) agree what Israel did was the right thing to do. However, Erdogan is a friend of Assad and of Iran while the Turkish army is a friend of the West, so Israel apologizes in order to make the attack on Syria and Iran go smoother. We understand. Erdogan won't be around forever. The Islamist enjoys his time in power now, but will one day be forgotten. When this happens the great friendship between Israel and Turkey will resume. Like Assad and Ahmenidiajd, Erdgoan will be eventually be removed. The West knows he is an ally of Jihad and an enemy of all non-Islamist.
3. SYRIA IS A POOR EXCUSE FOR APOLOGIZING
deborah lurya   (03.23.13)
That is a big fat lie and a sorry excuse- what does one thing have to do with another. Sorry Bibi, I dont buy it. We just got bitch slapped folks. The Obama visit was clear to anyone watching: to pressure Bibi into making giant concessions, which he did by apologizing needlessly and shamefully to the regional bully, Erdogan. This single act by the PM without consultation by his cabinet ( as seen in Lieberman's response) of willful contrition is political and diplomatic suicide for Israel. For now the world will have utter contempt for the Jewish people. Apologizing for what- defending our rights, defending our land from invasion by a hostile and most provocative enemy ship ( Gaza flotilla Mavi Mara). A grave error on Bibi's part. Now he has sanctioned the world to beat us up some more and sick sand in our faces. What was he thinking? Or was he just reacting to pressure from America that day.
4. I wish to God it somehow made sense:our security interests
tom ,   tel aviv   (03.23.13)
against Turkish involvement & goodwill, but I cannot connect the dots! Either USA & Israel are on the same page (then the Turks with all due respect amount to ZERO) or NOT ?!!
5. Stupidest decision EVER!
Susan ,   DC, USA   (03.23.13)
Unless he plans on giving the Arabs more land! DAMN! Obama better be giving Israel something REALLY GOOD for this SURRENDER!
6. bibi is an idiot and weakling
milson   (03.23.13)
reviewing, Bibi went to the US and let barak handle the marmora. it was barak who either decided or signed off on underequiping idf commando with paintball guns. Several commando were nearlykilled so they had to shoot or be killed. And for this netanyahu apologizes??!! and it was bibi who gave barak full control when it was obvious that barak was declining since the lebanon withdrawal, he has been only slightly better than peretz and halutz(2 bloody disasters). Incidently that livni chose halutz as her miliitary advisor shows how ignorant and stupid she is today. As for turkey, considering its importance, yes, it is worth considering normalizing except for the fact that erdogan, gul and dovetogolou are congenital liars of the brotherhood. and israel will not get a thing from them while he expects concessions on gaza. Ayalon is a weakling, bibi is finnished and should leave within a few months as he reveals he is a scared rabbit. As for syria islamic radicals on the golan, israel is a powerful country especially now with yaalon,t hey can deal with such threats. it is bibi who runs around flailing away oh my god. Israelis cannot see themselves and this goes back thousands of years. Look at the weak, cowardly leaders-peres, barak, olmert, livni, ramoin, bibi all weakkneed people scared of their shadows. They represent about half of israelis who carry the dzimmi gene. When guys like bennett, lapid, lieberman come around, they are villiied to some degree because they represent a more firm backbone. arabs would not have gone to their deaths the way the jews have in mostly passive manner. and its the passivitiy of torah culture that has handicapped so many jews not to be self reliant and have survival skills. i see it and it is plain to me. Bibi, yechaimovitc, gal on, all of shas and UTJ, half of likud and yesh atid are weaklings. They have to pass the scene as jews cannot survive with such leadership. Bibi's rationalization are in his rear end and born of total fear. and in lieberman's upcomming trial, I would not beleive a word from ayalon whose bias is obvious to all as he is fabricating everything to get back at lieberman. I don;'t believe a word from him If israel does not get new leadership, it is headed towards another holocaust. It needs its own physical security and backbone and right now it is poised to give it away.
7. Tell the truth for once
david ,   dublin   (03.23.13)
Tell the truth, He must think we are all stupid, we all know that If Bibi told Ergon that the only reason that he was apologising was because of the Syrian situation his apology would not have been accepted
8. appeasing a rattlesnake,is it helpful ? Bibi folded like an

9. Rationalize (definition)
Steve   (03.23.13)

10. War could be near.
Zechariah   (03.23.13)
Regional war is near and the Jews and others need to prepare defence .Billions are at risk and only the USA Russia and the Medium powers can hold it together. Therefore Turkey is a stabilising force with its large army and moderate Islam .Their is no room for excessive moralism and constant critism and negativity it's Unsettling.
11. Menachem Begin where are you ?
olim hadashim ,   tel aviv/israel   (03.23.13)
12. Jump! Yes, master, how high?
Nobama   (03.23.13)
How strange that up until obama made his appearance in Israel, Bibi had no intention to apologize to the Turks. It´s embarrasing how every leader in Israel bows to his American master´s will. Obama is a damn antisemite, he hates Israel and everything it stands for. There´s no need to play pretty to such an abhorrent enemy of Israel.
13. Sarah at teh evening coctail in London...
Miron ,   USA   (03.23.13)
you know, babe sold Israel yesterday evening... Turks and Americans nearly pulled each other eyes over Eilat, ha - ha. Kelly... mine sold England a year ago. He says Cyprus' guy has troubles nobody wants to buy ( burp ) ha - ha. Can we talk bout something exciting, my home decorator wants red wallpapers for our summer house. You think it's a good color.
14. It's t ime now for Israel to apologize to
BEN JABO (MACHAL) ,   ISRA EL   (03.23.13)
Syria, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan & Saudi Arabia etal, for their having invaded Israel in 1948 and for the continuing rcoket atacks from Gaza If Bib is intent on making an idiot out of himself, he might as well do a complete job of it
15. Since when does Bibi wear a kippah?
Ze'ev ,   USA   (03.23.13)
16. And what will Israel get out of this apology???
Makes me SICK!!!   (03.23.13)
Apparently NOTHING. Obama forced Bibi to bow to his friend Erdogan only for the sake of making a Jew bow to a fellow Muslim. Next he will force him to sign on the dotted line and give away Judea & Samaria? Israel needs to start fighting for and standing up for itself because it is very clear NOBODY else will.
17. bibi is now
JL   (03.23.13)
officially part of obamas Ongoing global apology tour..bibi is now expected to do obamas bidding like a little lap dog..it is a slap in the face for any of our soldiers sent to stop the mavi mamara and has cast israel in the international arena as a lying aggressor..
18. Classless apology from Bibi
Mark ,   Cleveland USA   (03.23.13)
I recognize that there are 2 sides to the forced boarding of the Turkish ship which was going to attempt to break the Gaza blockade. If you think Israel's position was correct, but for the sake of political gain, you offer an apology for killing nine people while forcefully boarding a ship in international waters, don't go on Facebook the next day and explain that you really didn't mean it. Bibi, you are an idiot.
19. there is more here than the eye of a needle
Cipora Julianna Kohn ,   Z   (03.23.13)
turkey needs advanced weapons systems which it cannot get without normalized relations with Israel. israel needs Turkish cooperation regarding syria and iran. both countries need each other strategically. the intemperate accusations against netanyahu are undeserved and come from ignorant people.
20. Apology mainly because of Syrian
Get Real ,   UK   (03.23.13)
situation? Hope this doesn't mean that without an apology Israel would not have been able to deal with any threats from Syria. Not surprised he did not specifically mention Iran but best to take one step at a time in re-building relations with Turkey. Bibi decided to call Turkish PM? Or did Obama push him? Anyway good decision which now allows for more options with regard to Syria.Iran and Palestinians (via Turkey)
21. #11 Amen
Sidney ,   USA   (03.24.13)
Draft Benny Begin for PM. His father stood up to Jimmy Carter and he is made of the same stuff.
22. Pure unadulterated self-serving nonsense
George ,   Ashdod   (03.24.13)
Once again, Netanyahu reveals himself to be nothing more than a sleazy pusillanimous politician. Because of Syria? The reality is that Netanyahu cannot resist Obama.
23. "INSTEAD OF EXCESSIVE APOLOGY"
David ,   New York, NY   (03.24.13)
I would like to direct Y'Net's readers to the Wikipedia entry for the spiritual founder of the philosophy that is today represented by the Likud, Zev Jabotinsky. in 1911, over one hundred years ago, he wrote an essay which can be found by going to that entry and is entitled "Instead of Excessive Apology." The relevance of the essay to yesterday's sickening decision will be self-evident to the reader and anyone who does not understand that this is only the BEGINNING of more outrageous demands on Israel is on glue. Obama, Erdogan and of course other players on the world stage understand Israel's " leader" all too well. Time for The Nation to catch up.

26. What an utterly pathetic and
DT ,   Tuy Hoa Vietnam   (03.24.13)
untrustworthy leader Netanyahu is. A man without principle or courage and an incapacity to know right from wrong. Bibi the left deserve you.
27. Israel needs a maritime police- coast guard
Lemmings Hotline ,   sd usa   (03.24.13)
Its time that Israel did apologize not for the way the soldiers reacted when attacked, rather for putting them unnecessarily in harms way. A civilian oriented police vessel would have the knowledge and equipment to disable a vessel at sea without 1) destroying it and 2) without exposing crew to a mob lynching....So Bibi , now that you have apologized, lets see a change in policy.
28. turkey
joemoer ,   israel   (03.24.13)
still wont go back to having holidays there...until they apologize for allowing a boatload of terrorists to approach our waters
29. #19 Julliana
Kwame ,   London UK   (03.24.13)
My dear Julliana, I couldn't agree with you more. First of all no Israeli leader can ignore a strategic advice by a US leader. You compromise to get what you need not what you want-a huge difference between Arab and European crisis management. Israeli leaders are gifted with strategic thinking. They think and plan well ahead of time. It beats my imagination to understand how anyone could see Bibi's apology to mean capitulation. Mind you the apology came THREE years after the incident! Does Turkey see this as a genuine expression of regret? Your guess is as good as mine
30. Afraid you're right, #22
Cameron ,   USA   (03.24.13)
Disturbing how spine & judgement go right out the window whenever Obama works that curious magic. Even seasoned politicos fall over like bowling pins. What is one to make of it?
