this what we have been getting, the eagerness to escalate conflict and strife.
7. To: No. 4
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.24.13)
The Golan Heights have been annexed. It is Israeli territory. Go to London and lobby for British withdrawal from the six counties of Northern Ireland. Surely that's a conflict near and dear to your heart. Achieve that, and then work on freedom from occupation for Wales and Cornwall. Israel is no place for you.
8. yeah right #4 what ever you say

9. An Interesting Thought
MR   (03.24.13)
Suppose Rabin made an agreement with Assad (the father) and had ceded the whole Golan. We would have these fire exchanges right from Tiberias.
10. The only thing I hope is ...
Keren ,   IL-BR   (03.24.13)
...that Israel works on Syria matters focusing in its own interests first and foremost . My concern is that BO may be using Israel to its own interests(which are against ours) by- Heavens forbid-trying to implant another Muslim Brotherwood in Syria.
11. I guess my younger kid is not coming home for pesach

more sleepless nites for me and his mother. Its tough like hell being the parent of a front line soldier.
12. don't forget the faulkland islands. golan has more jewish hi

History and lived on then the faulklands.Hypocrite, historically dumb and anti-Semite is what you are.
13. Israel, don't hesitate!
(03.24.13)
Shoot to kill. Don't leave any provocation unanswered or unpunished. In Middle East and Islam, if you don't show victory, it's like you didn't win. This is how it goes with these monkeys. Either total and visible destruction, or don't waste your time.
14. good work yaalon-see the difference
alexi   (03.24.13)
yaalon is not fearful likebarak was who waited until themessian returned before action. And rightly so. and the pacifists of israel yechamovtich and gal on-youdoin't like it, jump in the mediterranean.
15. To Sarah B., U.S.A./Israel, at no. 7
Sjoerd van der Velde ,   Hoorn NH, Holland   (03.24.13)
Dear young lady, in general you are certainly right in that case, at my opinion. That agression/jihad of Islam has to be stopped to avoid from going bad to worse, not just for Israel, also for the sake of civilization, culture, humanity and for (the entire) mankind. With a kind greet, Sjoerd.
16. notice the difference with yaalon
marcel   (03.24.13)
since 2005 with mofaz and halutz, and later barak, israel has had an anemic response to provocations which only feeds arab aggressiveness. Barak in particular for all of his commando exploits was fearful in large land warfare since he did poorly in skirmishes in chinese farm and sultan yacoub. Yaalon has no such problems. He is not stupid, he perhaps signed off on turkish apology which I would not have done since erdogan is an israel hater like haaretz journalists. Syrians whover the hell they are, of the allah akbar variety think they can continue their march, israel will obliterate them under yaalon where barak would run to endless conferences to consult. What a shmuck bibi was to tie himself to barak, a lousy defense miinister who lowered morale among the general staff with his infighting and screwed up the marmora. Ya, he should apologize not to turkey but to israelis for underequipping commandos and allowing them to rappel into a mob of axe wielding abdullahs. The arabs are starting to fighting out about yaalon. and soon lieberman is returning cause ayalon has concocted his evidence as his bias has been on full display and in fact, he is full of it.

Wales and Cornwall were not annexed or occupied. Sure, they are both of Celtic origin but that's hardly the same concept as annexing the Golan Heights as the result of wars in the 20th century. I have no issue with the annexation of the Golan Heights, but the international community still regards it as disputed territory. I don't think Cornwall wants to separate from the rest of England, but I may be wrong. Maybe the Cornish people should decide on that one.
18. IDF needs to be prepared to act against rebels too.
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (03.24.13)
As Syrian forces abandon the Golan region, one can expect that rebels will infiltrate the zone separating the Syrian and Israeli lines, putting Islamists right across Israel's fence. That will effectively nullify the armistice agreements of 1974/75 that have kept the border quiet since.
19. NObama
Dave ,   United States   (03.24.13)
Many of us in the US are trying to understand why Obama hasn't been impeached yet. He is evil, incompetent, and dangerous to America, and Israel. All of my family and aquaintences support Israel in defending itself from all of the other evil regimes in the world. May God bless our countries.
20. Mike Carmel International community....
BUILD BABY BUILD !!! ,   United States   (03.24.13)
do you mean the same as those whose fathers assisted Hitler in gathering up their local Jews for extermination?
21. # 11 I'll put you in my prayers..
BUILD BABY BUILD !!! ,   United States   (03.24.13)
It not for he and all the brave others, there would be no Israel. Hope he/she comes home soon, safe and sound.

No doubt whatsoever.
26. To: No. 17
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.24.13)
I think you'll find that there are elements in both Wales and Cornwall who do not wish to be part of Britain. Both, you know, were conquered militarily. International opinion on the annexation of the Golan and the unification of Jerusalem really is irrelevant. Were it up to international opinion, after all, Israel would simply cease to exist. In point of fact, that very attitude is what gives Israel carte blanche to act in its own best interests independently and without regard to international opinion. Since everything we do meets with international criticism and approprobation, it's time to stop paying attention.
27. To: Sjoerd at No. 15
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.24.13)
Assad isn't happy with the rapprochement between Turkey and Israel. He cannot discount U.S.-backed Jordan, either. Basically, he's pinned down. He's trying to draw Israel into the fray. Israel issued a very strong response to a few stray Syrian bullets. If Assad's smart, he got the message. If he's as desperate as I think he is, he didn't. Iran's vaunted "Revolutionary Guard" have been turned into hash by the insurgents. (Strong message to Iran there: if a handful of poorly trained and untrained rebels can humiliate Iran's supposedly "elite" troops, just imagine what Israel can do.) I don't trust any of them. But given the content of the chemical, biological and neurological weapons stocks controlled by Syria and, quite possibly, the insurgents, I say it's time to move against them all. If Turkey wants to take over all of Syria, I would not have a problem with that.
28. To: MR at No. 9
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.24.13)
Exactly. Moreover, he was prepared to do precisely that. That's one reason Rabin is so grossly overrated as a hero.
29. # 26
Mike Carmel ,   Rishon le Zion   (03.24.13)
Can't say I agree with your second paragraph Sarah, but it doesn't really matter. Anyway I wish you a hag sameach. BTW do you have any idea what on earth #20 is going on about because I have no idea what he means!
