1. Simple fact...
Shaul T. ,   Ramat Gan, Israel   (03.26.13)
If they were Jews...then the outcome would have been VERY different... (Plus MK Ahmad Tibi would not have given a sh*t)
2. Thank G-d each one is going home!
Israeli granny ,   Israel   (03.26.13)
Now children stop messing around down there in EgyptLand! (Well done to the Israeli Foreign Ministry and to MK Tibi)
3. Good News !
Adam Neira ,   Paris, France   (03.26.13)
This is very good news. Well done to the Egyptian authorities and those from Norway, Israel and elsewhere who assisted them. It is in the interest of the State Israel for Egypt to be stable and secure. Downwardly spiralling vortexes in one place can draw in other places. It is a very interconnected world these days. This is why the governments and "leaders" in the Middle East neighbourhood must co-operate and work towards a mutual vision of peace and prosperity. Also the Gulf of Aqaba coast of the South Sina is spectacular. Moses more than three thousand three hundred years ago during the time of the Exodus sat on the shore and wondered at the same coral that still exists today. (Di Zihav was actually one of the four places he addressed the people.) So at this time of the year it is unnecessary to point out the importance of the Jewish connection to the region. Many Israelis have visited there in the past and if, bizrat hashem, things improve they will visit again. The future make up of the Middle East will facilitate visits by citizens of one country to another country.
4. Welcome Home, Hassan
Keren IL-BR   (03.26.13)
I am so happy you've arrived home sound and safe. Thanks G-D.
5. @1 go get the facts He's Israeli, he's one of ours
(03.26.13)
and whether you like it or not that is the simplest fact of all! (besides that in all reports Hassan insisted on speaking in Hebrew with his captors and with his family)
6. tourist
marilyn ,   London   (03.26.13)
so this 32 sex tourist and her 23 year old boy friend have been released heh
7. @1 Tibi was the best person for the job...
Israeli ,   Israel   (03.26.13)
I mean really what's your problem. Israel always sends and backs up the person who has the best chance of getting the job done. In this case it was the Israeli MK Tibi.
8. Next time visit the Golan--end
Get Real ,   UK   (03.26.13)
9. Egypt could have done Israel a big favor
A ,   Belgium   (03.26.13)
by letting the little fish and his "girlfriend" free and keeping the big fish hostage in Egypt, making one less terrorist in the Israeli government.
10. Why are Europeans screwing around in this area?
Cameron ,   USA   (03.26.13)
An invitation for trouble.
11. Welcome home
Rami of Nazareth ,   Israel   (03.26.13)
12. @#6 No sex tourist
Thormod ,   Oslo, Norway   (03.26.13)
I can't believe the comments that she is suspected of being a sex tourist. No wonder there are parts of the world where men and women has to be kept apart, just because of stupid prejudice. Your sacrificing your own freedom due to this silliness. Seriously, if she wanted sex, she'd have no problem finding that in Norway. Still, many more men than women are doing adventurous trips around the world, so the women that do are just for that reason very attractive partners. As a Norwegian male, I can tell you that, she'd have absolutely no problems finding a partner at home. Besides, just look at her, cheerful after what she's gone through! She is really the right stuff! Sex tourists you find around major tourist resorts, not in the middle of Sinai! According to media in Norway, she was the one who had hired the taxi, he was hitch-hiking along the road, and she decided to pick him up. That'd be a perfectly normal thing for Norwegians to do. Why go into this area at all? Well, most people are nice, whereever you are, even in trouble zones, so why not?
13. TIBI
Dan   (03.26.13)
Tibi, the advisor to the archterrorist Arafat, should just shut up.
14. What were they afraid of??
Beary White ,   Norway   (03.26.13)
After all, all islamic followers call each other "brothers", the name of the country is no of any interesst... Never heard from an islamic follower "I am tunisian/I am egyption..." and so on. People belonging to other religions than the islam have a more natural way of expression their origin.. Then, if they were taken care of by an islamic brother, who cares!! Islamic brothers do not kill each other, do they?? :-) :-)
15. Thank g-d
Korem ,   NYC   (03.26.13)
Kol Hakavod to them for staying strong, and very good that they are safe. To all of you rampant with hate....Hassan is an Israeli. And thanfully he has returned home safely.
16. Of course Hassan is Israeli, as surely as she is Norwegian.
Michael ,   California, USA   (03.26.13)
They both wear keffiyas, so what difference does it make? What difference does religion make to determining nationality? None at all! Applause for all the commentators who pointed out this obvious fact. No need to spend a second thinking what motivates those who allude otherwise. This kind of doubters are not with us, not with the vast majority of Israelis and of enlightened people everywhere.
17. amongst MANY muslim ethnicities....
Bluegrass Picker ,   Afula   (03.28.13)
....kidnapping is a cottage industry. Check out the Moros in Mindanao. Been that way for centuries. It operates as little family businesses. A few cousins get together & grab a financially-attractive target.
