1. rebels advancing, near WMD cache

Israel helps, takes care of the wounded rebels, who, later, will turn against us. Believe me, they are no better than Assad's gang. Also they want to see Israel wiped off the world map. The last years everything was calm at the Syrian border. Of course Syria gave Iran free access to his territory to supply Hezbollah with all sort of weaponry to attack Israel. If the rebels win, they have to organize themselves politically and militarily (and the WMDs?). We can be safe for 2 or 3 years? And then….? To avoid critics: I'm not a supporter of El-Assad's Alawi-Baath regime, but simply, don't interfere there.

the Middle East and the West If those Western sunni backed crazed jihadis get access to chemical/bilogical weapons. The world hasn't felt the blowback from Iraq, Libya, Yemen, Mali, Egypt and Afghanastan yet! What the heck destroy and add another disfunctional country to the list of starving desperate peoples with stockpiles of arms and Jihad to feed them.

Better to have the WMDS safe in Assads hands than allow the rebels to get their hands on them because many of the rebels would be just as willing to use them against Assad's troops because they are both as bad as each other. The rebels are also not an organised army and we could well find ourself in a situation where Al Quaida or Hezbollah get their hands on some of these WMDS via the black market. Don't start supporting the rebels militarily but time to start dropping bombs on the WMD storage sites so neither Assad or the rebels can use them if they seize the storage sites. If the US doesn't want to do it then Israel must because it Israel thats in the frontline of these things and its Israel who the arabs would like to use them against. It is even more essential for Israel to destroy Assads WMDS than it is to stop Iran getting a nuke because Assad has the weapons already he is not developing them, he has the delivery systems, the country is unstable and terrorists would love to get their hands on them. Can we risk the next Lebanon or Gaza war involving the use of chemical weapons?

Is that the 1st thought that jumps into your head? You should be at the forefront of any danger or business arising from Syria. Yes, the burden to move pro-actively lies heaviest on thee.
