1. Because an israel said it doesn't make it true. Was the
American Observer   (04.03.13)
prisoner given adequate care?? Maimonides explains: "As for Gentiles with whom we are not at war ... their death must not be caused, but it is forbidden to save them if they are at the point of death; if, for example, one of them is seen falling into the sea, he should not be rescued, for it is written: 'neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy fellow' - but [a Gentile] is not thy fellow."

Just because the U.S claim they landed on the moon doesn't mean it's true! The moon may not even exist! Please don't embarrass yourself. The autopsy was observed by Palestinian doctors and his condition was known for a while. If you're accusing Israel of not being able to cure a terminally ill mass murderer with advanced cancer I won't try to defend it nor would I lose sleep over it.
4. The man, having been a heavy smoker, died of cancer that
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (04.03.13)
is commonly found among smokers. And, since the cancer has spread throughout the body, there wan't a way, as is the case in most such cases, to save his life. The conclusion: Don't smoke!!

How nice of you to finger through Maimonides writings to find the perfect fit for this report. Never mind all the other brilliant quotes meant to guide both Jew and Gentile in their daily lives you only see what you want to see. Meanwhile you do not investigate the time frame of what was occurring in the world during Maimonides life. The hatred by Gentiles towards the Jews. The killing and oppression of Jews by Gentiles. Try reading the New Testament and the Koran to see their interpretation of the treatment of others not Christian or Muslim respectively.

Was he given adequate care!?! HIS CHEMOTHERAPY WAS FOOTED BY THE ISRAELI TAXPAYER! Is that adequate enough for you?

9. #1 - Read your Maimonides quote
Jonny ,   Cape Town   (04.03.13)
I think it refers to you not sacrificing your own life. Not sure as to how it fits in with medical care, perhaps you would elaborate?
10. To #1: Being an ignoramus.....
EST ,   Miami USA   (04.03.13)
obviously you neglect to process the information coming out of Israel via many media outlets - not just Israeli, where Palestinians flock to Israel to get medical care ... at the expense of the Israeli government and Israeli taxpayers....So your quote has no merit....Even Palestinian Hamas leaders send their children to Israel for medical care...why don't you publicize that and thank the State of Israel for being so humane that they will care for the ill of their sworn enemies! The truth will bear out...even against avowed terrorist monsters...those whom you obviously support!

Good that this autopsy carried out as without doubt Palestinians would have alleged Israel poisoned him as per Arafat. Not much you can do for the terminally ill.

13. #1 you are mistaken
Palestinian villager ,   Jerusalem   (04.03.13)
my friend, in my village many families suffer from congenital kidney disease...not only do all those who suffer from this disease receive far and equal treatment in Jerusalem's Jewish hospitals...many of us have also received kidney transplants with the assistance of the Jewish Hospitals and Jewish medical personal. On behalf of my family may I ask you to please not disrespect the Jewish medical personal with your ignorant, misinformed comments. and remember that Rambam was the physician of the King of Egypt...so really what is wrong with you.
14. The palestinian authority on lies and fabrications

Most governments lie sometimes, but only the Palestinian authority lies 100% of the time.

TvdB ,   Amsterdan, NL   (04.03.13)
I don't think anyone doubts that the man died of cancer. The real question is did he receive enough treatment? I guess it's (again) going to be one of these yes he did ( Israel) no he didn't ( Palestinians) cases.....

20. A sentence of "life in prison" means you die there
Carl ,   USA   (04.03.13)
So he died in a world-class hospital of a terminal illness while a prisoner - what's the problem? Nice language from Abbas, our so-called partner in peace, describing this terrorist as another "martyr."
21. So now we all know there actually is a

23. First Time I have Sympathy For Cancer
Chaim Ben Kahan ,   Efrat, Israel   (04.03.13)
I feel for bad for the cancer that had to live on this terrorist's body. Thank you cancer, you are a martyr of good!
24. #13 Palestinian - God bless! We need more people like you
Carl ,   USA   (04.03.13)
People who can see good in their fellow man and speak the truth! Besides Palestinians and Arabs receiving state-of-the-art lifesaving medical care in Israel, Israel is always at the front lines responding to disasters worldwide. They had a fully operational hospital in Haiti in less than 24 hours, and provided field hospitals and search and rescue teams in Japan, Turkey, Thailand, Indonesia, and countless other places.
25. Enough with this
Deborah ,   Miami   (04.03.13)
Israel must insure death penalty for all terrorists who have blood on their hands. Not keeping them in jail, feed them, on the Israelis tax payers back. That s nonsense. And that garbage that died from cancer should have been put to death long way ago.
26. Kol HaKavod Deborah
ASTRONAUT ,   SC, USA   (04.03.13)
in Miami! Not only Israel, but every country that has been housing, feeding, playing into terrorists' demands at the insistence of liberal lawyers, should treat the perps AND their fekakteh lawyers like rabid dogs.
27. Thank you #13
Rhonda ,   Chicago, USA   (04.04.13)
Truly appreciate your stepping in and sharing your experience and observation. When I visited Hadassah medical center I saw people from all religions being taken care of. People were walking up and down the patient care unit hallways, being civil to each other and getting care. Walking around the building, everyone seemed to be represented. Anyway, thank you and stay in good health and well being.
28. Cancer Death
Ellen ,   Israel/NYC   (04.04.13)
Both my parents died of cancer in Israeli hospitals. They were both Jewish. Maybe instead of burying them and sitting shiva I should have been rioting that they didn't receive proper care. I guess the dozens and dozens of people I know who died of cancer--in both Israel and the US didn't receive proper care-- after all, cancer is a simple curable disease !? WHAT--it isn't a simple curable disease???? Someone better tell that to the Palys
29. To: No. 18
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.04.13)
He received chemotherapy and palliative care, all at the Israeli taxpayers' expense. His cancer had metastasized. What else do you think should have been done? Perhaps Israel should have simply shipped him off to the Netherlands -- where he would have been promptly euthanized. Is that your idea of enough treatment?
