1. Visiting Jordan

Iwouldn't visit Jordan or, for that matter, any Arab country given the current state of flux, especially as an Israeli citizen. Neither would I visit Turkey as I refuse to support such an anti-Israeli regime. There are many other countries in the world, however.

Well said Robert. I don't understand these kind of stupid people that are going and visiting this countries and then are being surprised if something is happening. The same applies to people visiting Sinai etc. You go there, you are on your own. !!!!

Well this is a risk you take when you visit an unstable country like Jordan.

Sorry, but previous comments are totally out of place. Where was the JORDANIAN Licensed Tour Guide? Where was the JORDANIAN agency operating the tour? No indication in any of the stories in either Hebrew or English that these entities even existed. With all due respect to Eli Raz, if he took a group of any nationality into another country without the requisite support structure of a local agency/operator and a local Licensed Tour Guide, he set himself and his group up for a fall. It doesn't sound as though the group had anything to do with the disappearance of the Jordanian security officer, and as soon as the Jordanian authorities complete their investigation, they'll be sent across the bridge to Israel. Jordan is entirely within its rights to do this--just as Israel would be if a similar incident happened here.
5. Normal police procedure for any country

Been to Jordan many times , it is generally safe and very hospitable. The police are just doing their job , it would be the same here if a man went missing and was found dead, the tourists last with him would be detained for questioning. No one was accusing the group just good police work to elimate all ends.
