31. #20 peace lover
solomon ,   bklyn   (04.06.13)
You are anything but. Thank you for proving that you have no intention of peace, just to kill and conquer. Go join the UNHRC. They are the laughing stock of the world. You deserve each other.
32. #22
Harold ,   USA   (04.06.13)
John Kerry himself is a millionaire and needs no more money. Wise-up and wake-up. Where did you find your stupid information about Kerry.
33. #24
Harold ,   USA   (04.06.13)
Stupid scomment. Then how come they did not starve before the occupation. I know who is on welfare - Israel itself getting US tax payers money.
34. He sounds like he needs Methylphenidate (Ritalin)
Alan ,   SA   (04.07.13)
35. Hope for people
Almond   (04.07.13)
It is not John Carry is doing this. It is Israel and American ewesh community requesting him. But you shold remember in a four and five years Israel may not be there. When palestenian begin war crime prucedeing against your country most of your leaders and general will be appearing world court, then your country fall apart. It can not be saved by America.Surrinding conditions of your country is not good at all.4-5 million people of a country is really is nothing. You are wasting your time there . Barak Obama is the greayest President of America ever had and really trying to to help you.
36. #21. Lunatic Israeli support keeps Fictional Palestine going
Chaim ,   Israel   (04.07.13)
The truly sad thing is that all it would take to get vast numbers of malignant "Palestinian" poseurs out of Israel would be for Israel to act like every sane country, in world history, and STOP supporting our "Palestinian" enemies. Israeli food, materials, money and electricity keep the lie of Fictional Palestine going.
37. Pessimism is certainly warranted.
(04.07.13)
Not because there is no hope, it is simply the US as Israel patron and only ally can;t not act as honest broker. Lets be honest, if US support financially, diplomatically and militarily is unconditional, as far as the Israelis are concern the US can talk for the next 2000 years, who cares?
38. #32. Kerry has long been poodle of rich women.
Chaim ,   Israel   (04.07.13)
#20. It is widely know that Kerry has long been the poodle of rich women. His latest wife is heir to the fortune built by Heinz Ketchup. Kerry is rich because he married very well a couple of times. You know as little about Kerry as you know about the Mideast and things in general.
39. ICJ is a golden opportunity for Israel.
Chaim ,   Israel   (04.07.13)
I have no doubt that the ICJ will render a ludicrous politically motivated decision against Israel. Just as the U.N. rendered a ludicrous politically based decision to condemn ZIonism as racism. However, the ICJ is a golden opportunity to get the truth out to billions of people. The legal truth about Judea and Samaria is so powerfully pro-Israel the P.A. doesn't even want to debate it. They refused MK Danny Ayalon's challenge to do so. EVERY good person will see the evidence is overwhelmingly on Israel's side. Israel stands to energize her allies and win countless millions of new allies. The "Palestinians" will get yet another worthless resolution that may as well be printed on toilet paper.
40. Excellent analysis but the 'hatred "is NOT "murual".
Bob K ,   Orlando USA   (04.07.13)
Israel is willing to compromise as Segal, like os many others ,says but the Palestinians are not. In the latest round of talks about 'peace talks' the PA demands that Israel produce a map of a future Palestinian state. This is Illogical and insane. The PA should be producing such a map and then negotiating with Israel. But the PA believe that they do not need to negotiate since the General Assembly, and Obama, have endorsed a Palestinian state on the 1949 ceasefire lines between Israel and Jordan which were destroyed when the Jordanian army backed by the PLO went to war agaisnt Israel in June 1967. If Abbas had wanted a state on those lines he should have said so then as a founding member of the PLO. But hten he wanted Israel's destruction. He still does but knows he cannot get it. In the meantime....... let the Americans waste their time while the EU, US etc fund the PA. Everyone gets something. Not what is needed but then we can't always get what we need or want. So why is Kerry visiting?Because this is his chance to be the would-be peacemaker and join the ranks of so many famous people before him. Plus, Obama sent him to keep up appearances that the US is 'hoping' for a 'breakthrough'. Meanwhile in Teheran the centrifuges keep on spinning. This is where Netanyahu and Obama are looking, not at Ramallah.
41. #30 Which ocupation are you refering to?
Ze'ev ,   USA   (04.07.13)
Because before Israel, it was Jordan, and before Jordan England, and before England the Ottoman empire, etc etc
42. Kerry's problem
Brod ,   USA   (04.07.13)
What is he doing in the Middle East? It is time America stops being manipulated by the Arab Islamist-Jihadists in the region to do their dirty work of usurping the Land of Israel for them. The Land of Israel has been in the region since ancient time and will be there till the End Time. Why would the world bow to the Islamist-Jihadist world of destroying Israel from the region? The Land of Israel is GOD-GIVEN and GOD-RESTORED to the Children of Israel. Read GOD'S Book called The Bible. It does not matter what the dark forces-Pagans, Atheists, Islamist-Jihadists or Papism (the Inventor of Anti-Semitism) say. What matters is what the Creator of the Heavens and Universe-the GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob-the GOD of the Bible says. Kerry behaves as if there is no boiling problem in the Korean Peninsula that poses an existential threat to America. He should stop wasting his time being Dhimmi puppet of the Arab Islamist-Jihadists/Usurpers.
43. Israel wats PEACE. The Palestinians want ISRAEL!
David ,   Israel   (04.07.13)
The Palestinians might of might not want peace but their leaders, who teach the children to hate, kill and destroy, certainly do not want peace. If they did there would have peace in the time of Arafat. With peace there will be no point in blaming Israel for their failings! Not long now until Hamas takes over on the West Bank and imposes Sharia Law. Someone should open a Head Scarf and Bourke shop in Ramallah. He'll make a fortune!
44. # 33
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (04.07.13)
Not stupid, just over you head. For the money we give to Israel we get a return on our investment. For the money given to the Pals nothing is gained because they have nothing of worth to give. The Pals only worth is to be used by Muslim countries to be a thorn in Israels side. That is the one thing they excel at...being an irritant.
45. #43 Israel wants PEACE
Harold ,   USA   (04.07.13)
If Israel really wants PEACE then why Netanyahu is refusing to produce a map showing the State of Palestine's borders. If you are suggesting ideas for Hamas to do such as the Sharia Law, Head Scarfs and Bourkas then you should also suggest that all Jews should stop reading the Capala, shave their beards and stop wearing the Jewish caps and the black European hats.
46. #44
Harold ,   USA   (04.07.13)
I think you are reading wrong informagtions. What we American are getting from Israel demands? My answer is just problems and fiction stories. Now Israel has gas to export so she should leave sus alone.
47. Harold # 46
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (04.07.13)
Most of the money that goes to Israel comes back to us providing jobs. They also share technology with us. We need those jobs. Only so many people can work at McDonalds.
48. To SoS Kerry
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (04.07.13)
The appearance of progress is more important than actual progress. Even if in the attempt to create that appearance actual progress is harmed or even reversed that is not as important to Kerry as appearing to create this "progress". Kerry is not very intelligent and surrounded by pro-Arab advisers that tell him how their failed 63 year old policies are really 'working' in face of the facts. So of course he will endeavor to repeat all the same stupid mistakes of everybody that came before him.
49. Segal's Op-Ed about Kerry
Abba Y ,   Washington, DC   (04.07.13)
Perhaps John Kerry thinks he can succeed because he knows if he doesn't, there will be no Israel in the very near future. A swift and highly compromising two-State solution is the only hope for a Jewish state; and if Palestine and Israel remain unable to craft such a solution, then a democratic superpower must force it's way in. Because a world without Israel is not a world the U.S. can, or will, tolerate. Self interests? Certainly. A relentless effort to forge peace is inevitable, so get used to Kerry's multiple visits. The days of remote control guidance are over. It's about to get really hands-on.
50. To #49
Brett ,   Florida   (04.08.13)
You are what used to be called an idiot! Now you are a useful idiot. Force it's way in??? Have you ever read the Bible??? Do you see America anywhere in there??? What a dumbass!!!
51. #49. Judea/Samaria belong to Israel & make Israel viable.
Chaim ,   Israel   (04.08.13)
It is obvious to any literate child, capable of reading a map, that the Two State Final Solution would destroy Israel within a decade. Which is exactly what it intends. Israel would be reduced to a 9 mile wide concentration camp! Not only do Judea and Samaria belong to Israel; they are necessary for Israel's survival.
52. Kerry to pressure Israel
philimax ,   NYC   (04.08.13)
In the 19th century the United States quadrupled in size due to the magic of "manifest destiny". It is now time for Israel to grow thru the biblical manifest destiny. Israel will grow until it vanquishes all its enemies. Go home Kerry!
53. # 20 Where IS palestine?
BUILD BABY BUILD !!! ,   United States   (04.08.13)
Anywhere near Jordan? If so, place your flag there Israel aint givin' you bupkis.
54. #53. Fictional Palestine borders on Oz and Narnia.
Chaim ,   Israel   (04.09.13)
However, while other fictional states are entertaining, Fictional Palestine is the stuff of nightmares.
55. #9. If you are an Israeli, you're one of the dumbest.
Chaim ,   Israel   (04.09.13)
First of all, Judea and Samaria legally belong to Israel. Secondly, as any child capable of reading a map can see, Judea and Samaria make Israel viable. Thirdly, Israel faced far graver dangers BEFORE liberating Judea and Samaria. If you really are an Israeli, you're definitely one of the dumbest and most self destructive.
56. #20 Yes they reject just like they were chosen as the...
rejected...   (04.09.13)
Arabs Living up to their calling eh? Ishmael was rejected and turned over to be a pain for all humanity. Oh yeah we want to help these beasts. In the end you lose easily
57. #43 david - your subject line is perfect!
