3. #1: Why limit your comment to European Jews?
David ,   Israel   (04.07.13)
"The United States saw 99 acts, Britain 84, Canada 74 and Australia three." You should rather say "Come home, baby, come home!" Enough said!

5. Europe and the UK are NORMAL again!
Dee Bee ,   Israel   (04.07.13)
Antisemitism, Expulsion, Pogroms and Extermination of Jews are the norm in Europe. Why do we have to look for excuses like Pillar of Defense, Caste Lead, the Palestinians and other Israel/Arab conflicts? Hatred and vilification of Jews existed long before Israel and long before the birth of the Prophet Mohammed. People seem to forget that the Greeks, the Babylonians, the Romans, the English, the Spanish and the Christian World persecuted Jews and nothing has changed over the centuries. Now with the "Palestinian Problem" the "enlightened world" of Jewish persecution has found a new cause to further their hatred of Jews. The right wing parties in Europe that hate the Muslims, which not politically correct today, have gone back to the old ways of "let's hate the Jews" and blame them for everything! History is what happened yesterday and what will happen tomorrow. Antisemitism is not the problem. The real problem is that Jews in the Diaspora are suffering from the same attitude that the Jews in Germany and Europe suffered from: "IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN TO US!" Some on this news site even say that Jews harp too much on the Holocaust. Easy to forget, but easier to close your eyes to what is really happening!
6. blaming the victim?
ChanahS ,   Israel   (04.07.13)
I bet you also blame rape victims for behaving or dressing inapproriately, or in a provocative manner. It's not a woman's fault men can't control themselves.

9. To: No. 4
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.07.13)
Excuse me. Would you mind elaborating a bit on what "mistakes" the Jews who were victimized by the Holocaust committed? And since? What? We had the temerity to win six wars started by Arabs? Excuse me, but you need to get an education. You are remarkably DUMB.
10. to #4 tell that to Erdogan's wife she wears
ghostq   (04.07.13)
realigous gear. apart from that there will be no islamophobea in Europe.
11. sharp rise in global...
Toledano Jean-Pierre ,   Israel   (04.07.13)
It's not difficult. Since years there's a radicalization among the Muslims in Europe and the rest of the world. France has a lot of Muslim immigrants, the most of them coming from his ex-colonies like Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia,…, so it isn't surprising that that country leads with 200 anti-Semitic incidents. Operation "Pillar of defense" would be a major factor for the increase. Maybe, but, anti-Semites, -Zionists,… will always find a reason to explain those incidents. Also don't forget that the governments, the political parties,… in Europe and the rest of the world always attack Israel about the Palestinian issue and don't really listen to the arguments of the Israeli government. Another reason is that the political parties need the electoral votes of those (Muslim) immigrants, who became citizens or even if in some countries you have not be naturalized to be allowed to vote (municipal, European,… elections). That are the facts.
12. No8 No Holocaust anymore in Europe
(04.07.13)
But Israel is on the way for a Palestinian Holocaust ! Get real!!
13. Anti-semitism?
Joe Asfoor ,   Burke,USA   (04.07.13)
If criticizing Israel's apartheid policies is anti-semitism, then I am anti-semite too! I hate any/all who discriminate others on the basis or race, ethnicity, language, religion etc. and I hate the mentality and the system that produced the Holocaust. I am against Israel because the current inhabitants of this country have forgotten the terrible pain they endured, and are inflicting terrible pain on innocent Palestinians. If Jews say what they are, then they should be for peace for all. Help me appreciate Israel again, and help me ( as well as others in Europe,USA) appreciate what Jews have done or are doing for others!
14. Toulouse terror attack
Zoe ,   LA/Rishon   (04.07.13)
happened six month before Amud Anaan, must have been preemptive antisemitism..
15. Anti-Semitism the Greatest misnomer,,,
Ricky ,   The Bronx   (04.07.13)
Anti-Semitism is the greatest MISNOMER of all time. Taken and used like a badge of honor, all races have and do experience/experienced attacks, verbal, phhysical and abuse collectiviely and on the individual level 24/7. Anti-Semitism is the most abused word/ MISNOMER of all time,,, frankly I am tired of Anti-Semitism and you should all be, too.

i am educated enough to know cursing is first phase of confirming other sides opinion you come across as a one who has nothing to say let me give you afew exmaples about antisemitisim when you cliam you r gods chosen peopleand above others even ahteists starts to resent your reasoning do you know how people become anti of something? lets take you as an example you dont accept anything criticizes israel find no fault whatsoever on your part and blindly defend her thats nice :) you maybe hated turkey all along im not sure about it but many here before the flotilla had friendly feelings toward her like many in turkey did towards israel then flotailla happened and you have found turkeys actions at fault thus showed your reaction and become anti turk its totally naturall im just trying to make you understand the process :) most of europeans resent israelis saying israel only belongs to jews and your settlement activities, can you see action and reaction or shoul i point out? :) turkey was wrong in letting flotilla depart thus noone can blame your anti turkish rhetoric cause you r right what makes you anti turk makes others anti semite as well food for thought ;)
17. #16 an exception
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (04.07.13)
There is one exception to what you write. There is one religion that is correct. Everyone must submit to the religion or be punished. There is one religion whose leader cannot be criticized. Criticism of the leader is punishable by death. As for "Israel belongs only to the Jews". The holy books (Koran and New Testament) followed by 2 billion people agree that "Israel belongs only to the Jews". Of course, that does not prevent the Jews allowing 2 million non-Jews from living here with full rights. This is a bit different from both Fatah and Hamas who both say that "Israel is Islamic Wakf and belongs only to the Arabs". As for Israel vs. Turkey. Israelis like Turks. The problem is Erdogan and the Brotherhood. As long as Erdogan is in power, we will be enemies because that is Erdogan's religion. It did not start with Mavi Marmara: it started at Davos.
18. Jewish report conflates anti-Zionism with anti-Semitism
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (04.07.13)
The chicken and the egg are two different things.
19. Look in the mirror
Tom ,   USA   (04.07.13)
You might think that you expressed peaceful ideas in your monolog. The fact is that you revealed your true hateful face in a couple of ways; you used the word “hate” almost in every sentence and you said: “I am against Israel because”. You did not say that you were against “certain policies” of the state of Israel (which I may agree with you) but simple and short; against the existence of a national homeland for Jews on their historical land. The old ugly wolf of anti-Semitism tries to dress up with a sheep cloths of anti-Israeli policy. You don’t fool anybody. BTW – tell me really were you live or came from and I will show you in the history books that you ancestors most likely created atrocities and genocide against others in the past.
20. @ #16 Anton
Steve ,   Minnesota USA   (04.07.13)
Spot on man. But don't expect people in here to understand your point. The thing is, they don't even know what antisemitism is anymore, it's been so abused, it's at a point where no one cares. Whats really sad is, the people that use it to deflect legitimate criticism aren't even Semites to start with, the vast majority of Jews today are not Semites at all.
21. Yeah Benassi
Angus   (04.07.13)
you are the chicken with lots of violent eggs waiting your dropping them!
22. David # 3
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (04.07.13)
It could be that BBB did not want to include Jews that voted for Obama. If that were the case I would not blame him.
24. ## 4, 26, 20 "Don't blame others for your own mistakes"
(04.07.13)
The fifth population of Israel are the Arabs. Most of them don't want to live in your Muslim style Democracy, firstly. Secondly, what mistake was made by the little school children in Toulouse before they were killed? My answer is their mistake in Islam poisoned minds was being born to the Jewish parents, being razed in a Jewish home. Thirdly about the "irreligious" European Antisemites: Their religion is Neo-Nazism mixed with Political nationalistic opportunism. You can think about it what you want, but in reality it is a power grab opportunists who just repeat their predecessors who find a perfect scapegoat. Antisemitism always worked because the Jews always Survived. If the Jews will leave this planet in one miraculous moment, all the Antisemites will vanish. But I am not sure they'll will survive the wars among themselves.
25. pointing the finger
tiki ,   belgium   (04.07.13)
Putting the rise in anti Semitic attacks on operation Pillar of Defense, is like putting the blame on the surgeon for the patient's cancer. The only ones to blame for the rise in anti Semitic attacks are the anti Semites! The timid reaction (if at all) from governments is the reason why these anti Semites raise their ugly heads, for it's salon fähig again and past any shame, on the contrary, many politicians & human rights terrorists join in............as biased critics of the Jewish state!!
26. The reason: occupation, plus a chance to whine
(04.07.13)
27. @18 antisemitisme&antizionism
Raphael ,   Netanya   (04.07.13)
are snake eggs, nothing to do with chicken. Do you know many antisemites who are not antizionists? Jew hatred masked under antizionism is considered as a political lever by islam's fascists and imperialists to grab power.

anton ,   istanbul   (04.07.13)
i learned that long ago :) u r right many dont know what it means and many here excessivley use as a mean of protection to be honest abusing it and devaluating the word itself i dont know how many times i been called antisemite, in fact i belive if i had changed my name to antisemite still i wouldnt have been called antisemite this much :)
29. Richard of # 23
Jacob Edelman ,   Philadelphia   (04.07.13)
I think your subject matter is not becoming of a person who has arguments to offer and it seems more in tune with the usual rantings of a misguided, misinformed and apparently ignorant fanatic who does not know even basic facts about history and anti-semitism in the world.Normally one is expected to think before spewing such hatred , the worst of which is to address it to the wrong people. But freedom of expression being what it is we have to listen to people like yourself and try to think the best of people.
30. anti-Semitic activities
larry ,   Israel   (04.08.13)
'Doesn't anyone connect this to the growing Muslim population in these countries , or are you afraid to be called racist? sometimes you got to say the truth its not racist.
