1. Kerry Should Give Up
Mark of Lewiston ,   USA   (04.08.13)
Kerry and Obama should give up and focus on North Korea. Neither side in the Israel - Palestine conflict is ready. Both sides see compromise as capitulation. Netanyahu thinks his own preconditions of perpetual building, especially in expansion of East Jerusalem is no precondition. He also assumes that the right of conquest has some exemption for Israeli conquests. Abbas sees no point in talking for the sake of talking. He wants maps from Netanyahu to see if Netanyahu is serious. But he has yet to publish a map himself showing what he would concede from what was not Israeli-conquered territory before the 67 war and what he would accept in exchange. North Korea at least is an easier conflict to deal with.
2. Korea is threatening, Syria is collapsing, Tunisia is
exporting Jihadis, Iran is producing nukes, Libya is becoming a failed state, there are Somali pirates, Mali is being continuously attacked, Pakistan and Afghanistan are crumbling, the West is bankrupt, Egypt is in dire straights and you are worried about Israel and the PLO???????????????
3. Kerry and the ME peace
Harold ,   USA   (04.08.13)
If Kerry fails then the two states solution should be decided by the United Nations without any vito from the United States
4. Harsh, reality.
michael Pielet ,   israel   (04.08.13)
The only thing occupied is the brain of the author of this article. Kerry. Obama are very interested in the creation of an arab terrorist, Iranian backed state in Judea and Samaria. Kerry, Obama are not very interested in preventing iran from attaining nuclear weapons capability.
5. Kerry meets to push Mideast peace
mat ,   uk   (04.08.13)
Kerry knows the saying it takes two to tango if the Palestinians wanted peace they can have it but they only want one way traffic their way and no Jewish state
6. End stalemate with total Israeli victory.
Chaim ,   Israel   (04.08.13)
The way for Israel to end the stalement is the same way the WW II Allies ended the stalemate with Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan. Total resounding victory with no concessions whatsoever. Than send malevolent "Palestinian" poseurs packing.
7. if abbas truly wanted peace
the mad zionist ,   san francisco   (04.08.13)
and a state, he would have had one by now when olmert offered it all except "right of return". Its just really sad when all parties included never call the palestinians out for it. The palestinians have rejected peace 5 times they were offered. And yet israel is still blamed for thwarting peace. We already know that israel would uproot its own citizens (gaza pullout) in its quest for peace. So saying that the settlement building is holding up the talks is bs. Israel has made peace with all the neighbors that have been willing to, jordan, wgypt. So saying Israel doesnt want peace is straight up lie. If the palestinians are so bummed for netanyahu being in power, then they should realize that everytime they send terrorists to israel or fire rockets, the israeli will keep voting hawks in power to deal with them. They could have had a state for the last 6 years, when will the inter. Comm. Call them out on their lies? Until they call the palis on their bs, their will never be peace, but they arentgonna get from likud what they could have had 6 years ago. Jake sarna
8. Israel must encourage and insure the establishment
A ,   Belgium   (04.08.13)
of an independent "palestinian" state...on the east bank of the Jordan River, as it is presently ruled by the minority bedouin king, grandson of Talal of Saudi Arabia. Judah and Samaria should be immediatly and permanently annexed into Israel, and "palestinians" holding Jordanian passports, also those who have had their citizenship revoked by Jordan, should be repatriated to their home in "palestine"/ Jordan. What they do with it is their problem, no one needs their "demands" or begging for handouts anymore, especially Israel.
