1. They should be deported
Michael ,   Haifa   (04.08.13)
At least the illegal African immigrants, who face deportation, try to work for their living. These heartless haredi parasites deny the existence of the state, and thus, logically, have no place here. They should be vomited out of Israel.
2. Could Not Have Said it Better Michael. Excellent
Moshe ,   Givataim   (04.08.13)
3. Hate Mongering pure and simple
James ,   Israel   (04.08.13)
There's actually a lot of logic in what the boys say - but you are reckoning on knee-jerk reactions to the title of the article. Disgusting to abuse the chareidim in this way on Holocaust Remembrance Day - shame on you YNET!!!!
4. brain washed zombies discusting behavior
Gadi ,   Hertzaliya, ISR   (04.08.13)
Once again the Ultra orthdox show their true colors, and dont forget all this is paid for by those nasty seculars tax money. How strange they have time to picnic in the park when the hard working, law obiding citizens of this country are working. They claim they cant serve in the IDF because apparently they are studying the Torah all day long, well aparently not.
5. There point is 100% aceptable, the jewish people
NATAN ,   ISRAEL   (04.08.13)
prays to G-d even in the pain, there soul's need more this than a Siren.
6. What's new?
Jew1 ,   Ashdod   (04.08.13)
After babecuing the country for 60+ years, they just came openly to celebrate barbecue as a token. For as for the question, what does seculars do in general? They don't do much, idiots pay for their university studies, work hard, pay taxes which allows to pay for these haredim's barbacue...in general haredim = kings & queens and secular = donkey....
7. He is 100% correct
Steve-o ,   Tel Aviv   (04.08.13)
I am no fan of the Haredi people sponging off of secular Israeli's, however what he said is correct.
8. Morons
Golan ,   modiin   (04.08.13)
Haredim seem to be more interested in being haredim than Jews. That is why they deny Jewish history and are more concerned with protecting and defending a legacy of magical rabbis, kossak like dress, and traditions that contradict the gmara and torah. After all, its more important to dress like a decent person that to be a decent person.
9. do not judge without reading
ariel ,   israel   (04.08.13)
""We will read Psalms for them tomorrow morning and study torah in their memory. What do you do? Say a few pretty words and sound a siren? " he is logical with himself and don't disrespected noone here.
10. Shameful and disgusting.
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.08.13)
11. These guys are hypocrites...it is meant to be the Omer and
Chopper4 ,   CPT, South Africa   (04.08.13)
having a public party during the Omer is prohibited! Therefore I even doubt they will be saying Psalms are praying in the victims' memory. They can BS some people some of the time but they can not BS everyone all the time. If anyone wants to debunk me, Charedim are meant to observe the Omer from day 1 to day 49...there is NO other custom! unless of course you are a hypocrite!
12. Sunday night?
(04.08.13)
I would agree that it would be a bit disrespectful (but most definately not newsworthy) to have a BBQ on Monday. But Sunday you're also making a fuss about? What about last week? Also rude? Get over it Ynet, enough trying to make the hareidim look bad all the time.
13. Article is clearly a fabrication
Mordechai   (04.08.13)
Haredi single young men and women having a bbq. Come on we all know that never happens. Either the article is a total fabrication or there is something missing from it.
14. Saw them there after moving Yom haShoah memorial
Jon ,   Israel   (04.08.13)
Made me cringe.
15. Can't wait to swim in effluence every year
Thinking Jew ,   Israel   (04.08.13)
I'm a frequent critic of the Haredim -- AND of the anti-religious extremists no less. Several commenters prove that Ultra-Orthodox Haredim aren't the only hateful extremists among us. But, perhaps suppressing entertainment, turning off all TV channels and requiring today's Jews to immerse themselves in unholy effluence annually -- clearly sometimes against their will -- contributes to revulsion and rejection -- not "remembering." I'm sure there are toxic waste sites scattered around in Israel too, but I'd refuse to make an annual pilgrimage to immerse in them for 24 hours. Israel need to rethink this obsession of reveling in repeatedly swimming in gruesomeness. It's counter-productive to remembering.
16. How many of those that condemn
PaulD ,   Jerusalem   (04.08.13)
Haredi behavior 'fast' and 'observe' Tisha'b'av, the tradition day of mourning for the many tragedies that have tormented the Jewish people? It is simply a choice between observing a day of mourning and remembrance instituted by the Rabbis or that instituted by the newly formed Zionist Government. How dare secularists criticize Haredi mourning and trash age-honored tradition as insignificant. It is truly amazing how the secular crowd that has trashed and mocks Judaism, sanctifies the rituals, customs and traditions that are symbols of a G-dless political regime.
17. There is only one issue here
S Judah ,   Jerusalem   (04.08.13)
The comments of the boys make a lot of sense and there is indeed a religious way to mourn the dead and from a religious view point it is better than the secular way. The issue you then is how it looks to the wider public and how it gets reported by the secular press who try to blow it out of proportion. Like there were no barbecues and partying elsewhere last night by seculars, whilst tens of thousands of religious students from all strata's of the country were praying and studying in the merit of the dead, a fact totally ignored by the secular press and some of the respondants here. Why? Why? Why?
18. In all fairness........
Wise Saba ,   Western Negev   (04.08.13)
This group of idiots are Neuteri Karta, a very small group. Yes, they are the same morons who support Iran & Hamas & deserve to be vilified, but don't paint the whole haredi world by the same brush.
19. Respect
NIgel ,   London   (04.08.13)
This is simply a matter of mutual respect- or lack of it.
20. What is wrong with them?
Tom ,   IL   (04.08.13)
21. ynet spreading hatred against the haredim
shmuel ,   new york   (04.08.13)
i do not believe the whole story WHY IS THERE NO PICTURES FROM THE BBQ i think ynet once again made up a nother story agents the haredim just to spread hatred against the haredim
22. I presume that...
Vladimir ,   Jerusalem   (04.08.13)
the restaurants and cinemas were open yesterday and many seculars were also relaxing in the same way at the same time (to say nothing of the Arabs). So why is this special attention to the young charedim? The yeshiva boys are on vacation. On Rosh Chodesh (Thursday) the studies will resume.,,
23. #11
Shua ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (04.08.13)
Do you even know what you are talking about!!!!
24. Why does Ynet make this news?
Cheryl Mavrikos ,   Brookline USA   (04.08.13)
Every day Europe grows closer to another Jewish Holocaust, and why does Ynet focus on this? There is much truth to what the Haredim say - enough profiteering from the division between religious and secular Jews - we are all Am Yisrael!
25. Ynet why are you so full of hate??
Jack ,   Jerusalem Israel   (04.08.13)
Dear Ynet, What is the point of this Article?? Nazis didnt hate us ALL enough? So why not us hate each other more? If your so busy mourning then you shouldn't have time to see their BBQ.! I for one have never seen anyone eat on Yom Kippor, You want to know why? Because I am in the Beit Kinasat All day . Doing what I know is rite. Not out looking to tattle on my Jewish brotheren . And FYI Hitler didnt care what color your Kippa was or if you ever wore one! So we Jews are all we got, so we better start getting along and accepting each other for who we are ! G-D Bless us All. Jack PS. "#1 Michael" really??
26. I watched them play in school as I stood
Jacob E ,   Holon, Israel   (04.08.13)
As I stood on my balcony for the siren, I watched their children play in the Haradi school behind my house as if nothing was happening. Their security guard at the gate stood and stopped one kid running by to stand as well, but that was all.
27. Purpose?
michael Pielet ,   israel   (04.08.13)
The sole purpose of this article is to create hatred amongst Jews.
28. respect requires two sides
Larry ,   Los Angeles   (04.08.13)
Who is right? Don't know, but what I do know is that it takes both side to respect the other before there is any respect. As long as one side perceives the other as being treated with out the due respect, no one will get any respect. flech on both sides.
29. i'm haradi and i tihnk...
david ,   Bet Shemesh   (04.08.13)
What a horrible article, agree it is being used to create hate amongst Jews. No mistaking me for non-haradi and I not only stood and observed the moment. I also vowed to make sure my children and everyone else I come across "never forgets". I posted several times today on the web about not forgetting to infulence my religous and non-religious circle. Further, i am sure we could have found plenty of non-haradi Jew's ignoring the sirens today. What's the point? EVERYONE OF US SHOULD HAVE STOPPED WHAT WE WERE DOING at that very moment. There has to be 100k+ missiles, rockets, etc pointed right at us and we still fight and argue like fools amongst ourselves, plain stupidity.
30. hmm
Joseph ,   Israel   (04.08.13)
Just the same as you do on Tisha Be'Av. And the difference is... ???
