This attack reflect the lowest level of the israeli society. Interestingly people perpetreting those attacks are M. East Oriental descendent who complained during years of discrimination themselves. The police as usual do not charge them and nobody has answer for this behaviour

I will await the police investigation to finish. Attacking anybody for their origin is just plain wrong and racist. If these people did it then I hope that they will face the maximum penalty for the crimes. And I would say the same even if the victims were illegal aliens. They do not have the right to take the law into their own hands. They were not defending themselves or another, so even if something was illegal then it is a police matter

My initial reaction when talkbackers talk of Israeli racism is to contradict them and genuinely believe that they are isolated incidents. However after reading #1  I am not so sure. Jews are of many colours/ethnicity, we are rapidly progressing down the slope of awful racism and intolerance.

First of all they are Israeli citizens. Secondly what gives these kids the okay to attack anyone be they legal or illegal. And thirdly it was your government along with the approval of the citizens to open the doors to the Ethiopian community. Just because you cannot differentiate one black African from another again does not give you permission to harm them.

It seems that some talkbackers (like the attackers in the article) are just unable to comprehend the difference between illegal immigrants from Africa and Jewish Israeli citizens(!) from Ethiopia... go and learn a bit about the history and background of Ethiopian Jews!

Attacking innocent people based on the colour of their skin is Criminal Racism, period. Many Israelis have problems dealing with strangers of any kind. This is one of the sad results of living in an ethnocentric nation. The only possible answer is education. In the meantime, the courts will need to punish such actions to the maximum possible.

Quite apparently you didn't read the article. Ethopian Jews were beaten by people who assumed that they were illegal aliens. The perpetrators are also charged with beating another Ethopian and Eritrean migrant.

In Nazi Germany...the abuse of Jews started with the same kind of sentiment you-the ordinary people of Israel have over immigrants. It is just disgusting for some of you to say that it is OK if the HUMANS attacked are illegal immigrants, dont forget for a second that you were in the same shoes as these people were...dont ever tried to justify any violence to your fellow human.
