1. Good! Tell them no more extortion and bribery.
Harry Wright ,   UK   (04.11.13)
No more playing games. No more rewards before they even come to the table. AND STICK TO IT! "Confidence building measures" my a**! That is nothing but a polite way of saying BRIBERY. If Kerry brings it up tell him to SHOVE IT.
2. No preconditions!
Rhonda ,   Chicago, USA   (04.11.13)
Good. They need to come to the table without any preconditions. Enough with the demands, enough with the good will gestures.
3. Bibi is harming Israel,jews.
marcelo tuchman ,   RIO,BRAZIL   (04.11.13)
He is not hearing jewish opinion, inside or outside Israel. He is decided to achieve the title of the most intransigent Israeli leader. He can not see the obvious, there will be NO ISRAEL if there is not a Palestine Independent State. Abbas is the best Palestinian leader of all times, he really wants to solve the conflict. End gaza blockade, stop settlements, discuss Jerusalem status. Will give to Israel international credit, enhance relations with US,EU, China and Russia. Israel lose billions of dollars every year with a bunch of racist settlers, that want make Israel conquer all West Bank, and expell Palestinians Israel has good relations with Jordan,Egypt,Turkey. Palestine will be the next Arab State to have good comunications with Israel. Clock is ticking. Shalom.
4. Abbas' map shows a Pals state from the river to the sea.
Harry Wright ,   UK   (04.11.13)
DEMAND that Abbas explain that map. DEMAND an answer as to why Israel is nowhere on his map. Demand that his answer be video taped. Demand that it be removed from children's text books, if it is there. No new maps should be put forward unless and until that map is cleared up.
5. The only gesture Abbas should get is a middle finger.
Harry Wright ,   UK   (04.11.13)
6. The end is left with nothing.
Jusanz77 ,   Vzla   (04.11.13)
Well Bibi. The only condition that must accept Israel, "negotiations without conditions." Some bad habits are never lost. First the Palestinians demanded a freeze on constructions in Judea Samaria, after the release of Palestinian prisoners murderers, later a map of the proposed boundaries Israel, the return of Palestinian tax .... All this without having set foot on the negotiating table. Who asks a lot in the end is left with nothing.
7. No good will on the palestinian Muslim side;Palestinian JEWS
hipocrates ,   earth   (04.11.13)
gave them land, and what happened missiles on the kids. No thanks. Their problem has always been recognition of the "other". Recognition of the Jewish state, rights and history that preceeded Mohammed by over 2000 yrs.

I am glad with the gov's position. Is time to conduct talks like adults, and time for the Palestinians to stop whining and threatening. GO ON BIBI!

without ANY preconditions. All talks in the past have been based on UN Security Council Resolution, 242, 1967; and all talks have been based on the assumption that "nothing is agreed until all issues are agreed". This is precisely what the forthcoming talks should be based on. Such point of reference was good enough with Egypt and then with Jordan. There is no reason why it shouldn't be good enough - if the will is there for PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE - with the Arabs of Eretz Israel (Land of Israel).
14. PM Netanyahu, well done
Cipora Julianna Kohn ,   Z   (04.11.13)
israel must not agree to so-called "good will gestures" under any conditions. there must be no transfer of authority to the arab palestinians over any territory; no release of terrorists; no freeze of building in any part of territories under israeli control.
15. Precondition has nothing to do with Peace !.

Fed up   (04.11.13)
Like all his predecessors who do not want to accept reality. Wishful thinking and fantasy will get you nowhere in the ME. He should leave the Palestinians alone, because they will keep coming up with more and more demands designed to delay direct talks, and when they are finally pushed too hard against a wall, they will orchestrate an Intifada against Israel. It’s about time the world stopped coddling them and giving them too much attention and importance. It is exactly this western behavior that has prevented any kind of a solution. They are terrified of becoming a real state that has to function and prove itself to the world. Palestine has always been fictional and will always be fictional, but pesky westerners keep trying to impose rationality on them. They will only reach an agreement with Israel when they know that that is the only option they have left. Bad elements in the world keep giving them false hope for the destruction of Israel. When they finally realize that it won’t happen, they will come to their senses and reach some kind of agreement with Israel, even if it has to take another 20-50 years to achieve it. No one goes anywhere fast in this region, so everyone just butt out!!!
21. abbas
rm ,   Amsterdan, NL   (04.11.13)
I think that after Arafat Israel thought that it could easily manipulate the much less strong Abbas into a deal. I guess Israel really does not like it when Palestinian leaders show something of a spine! It makes Israel look bad and that allone is enough reason to hate and delegitimize the man.
22. preconditons
rm ,   Amsterdan, NL   (04.11.13)
Basically Israel wants the palestinians to give up all their sacred cows... Give up on Jerusalem. Give up the right of return, acknowledge Israel as a Jewish state and accept that Israel will always police the Palestinians. If they agree to all of that than Israel is willing to talk about which little pieces of land it is willing to cede to the Palestinians....No palestinian leader not even a relative moderate like Abbas can agree to that. Israel holds all the trumpcards yet it still demands more of the people it fully controls and is even so arrogant as to claim no more concessions. I was bord about a month after the six day war and I don't think I'll live to see true and somewhat just peace! Sad but true
23. #19. What about Palestinian gestures to Israel?
A ,   Belgium   (04.11.13)
Don't say that, Israel has had enough rockets and children wounded and killed through "palestinian" gestures. The only gesture the "palestinians" should get are permanent one-way tickets to their homeland across the river.

SJOERD VAN DER VELDE ,   EARTH- LAND/COUNTRY   (04.11.13)
SURFACE OF OUR PLANET EARTH. THE ARAB/ISLAMICAL POPULATION COULD HAVE ACCEPTED THE PLAN OF THE UNITED NATIONS ORGANIZATION IN 1947, JUST BEFORE THE DECLARATION OF ISRAEL IN 1948. SECURITY, PROSPERITY AND PEACE TO/FOR ISRAEL AND THE REST OF MANKIND.
25. Gestures? Not interested
Sammy ,   Newcastle   (04.11.13)
Nothing but vague, indeterminate, prone to misinterpretation, fuzzy and woolly actions designed to prolong the inevitable face to face talks No more futile and worthless gestures just good old fashioned face to face hard graft talks no matter how long it takes Tp paraphrase Omar Khayyam The journey to peace of a million miles begins with a single step. Now is the time to take that step
26. Yes! Give them a "Gesture" - The Finger!
David ,   Israel   (04.11.13)
27. Gestures??????
Martin Pentecost ,   London UK   (04.11.13)
The only gesture that Israel should make to Abbas and the palestinians is a two finger salute......Tell Abbas to go and Fhimself...........

you make me laugh, out of 50 talks back responses only you support the always insane pals. Thanks, always good for a laugh, rm. Neither Hamas or the PA need any help when it comes to hating, they wrote the book and keep the profits, and....... speaking of delegitimizing.. There NEVER was a palestine and now I'm proud to say , officially, there NEVER will. ANNEX, BUILD, CAPITOL ALL OF JERUSALEM. G-d chose Israel.
30. # 22 So, that's your 'logic'?
Big bad Jew ,   United States   (04.11.13)
If all that's so, why wont Abb- ass have a sit down? Or, would he prefer Hamas do all his talking? Which is it? And, what the hell are you doing in the Netherlands when so many Muslim need your help? I notice not a word about Syria, Egypt, any wars of the peaceful religion that seems to be like a cancer, eating itself alive...... Your 'logic' escapes everyone here, that's why they ignore you, your very ignorable.
