The countries mentioned have a wide range of populations. Has this been taken into account in giving places if the Amnesty league table? Saudi, USA and China have very different populations, so has Amnesty adjusted their figures? Also has Amnesty compared the reasons people are executed? In Muslim countries a Muslim can be executed for converting to Christianity, while in the USA capital punishment is usually limited to murderers, after a many years' long appeal process.

As an American, I am proud of the fact that at least in some parts of my country people have not lost the common sense that says that: NO - not every scumbag deserves to live. Society have rules, and, if you break them - you should be responsible for the consequences. There is no need to warehouse murderers for 50, 60 years at taxpayers expense just for fake "Humanity". The death penalty should be embraced worldwide, not as a mean for revenge, but, as a small way of cleaning the gene pool of heinous assholes.

I couldnt agree more. Especially in a country like America, where we ahve to worlds living side by side. We have a Western civilized world with a dark and dirty third world parying on the innocent. Gangs and rabid criminals have no place and should be punished even more severely than they are in the US. We could kill 5 X the amount we do and it still wouldnt be enough!

when someone has been proved, beyond a shadow of a doubt, to have committed horrific crimes against innocent people, in particular children, and animals. They should all be hanged, or injected, I have no preference. And just for additional thrills, they shouldn't be told when, they need to live each day in fear - THAT is justice for all the lives these bastards have taken and ruined.

Who ever said the death penalty was supposed to be a deterrent ? Who ever said jailing someone for anything is a deterrent ? My point of view is this. If a person is found guilty of murder BEYOND A SHADOW OF DOUBT that person loses their rights. Death penalty is the way to go.

The Gazan Palestinians had total free reign of their surroundings till they started to assault the Israelis. The Israelis cut them off from their free movement into Israel. It was the Egyptians ....their own brethren that that cut off free movement into Egypt that " locked them up"

If Israel were to have killed terrorists instead of coddle them until they are released we might have fewer Jews killed!

Confucius sends message to Israel: "Implement capital punishment as soon as possible" The logic: Death is inevitable for all humans. Those that kill others in the first degree simply must be made to step off the train of life earlier. After all we all meet up with death and society should be a nicer place for the remaining law abiding, non-terrorist rest of us, who do not kill.

those that apply the capital punishment does indeed kill the drones kill the army too .. . law abinding? Should the judges that inflicted death penalty in error be executed too? For they killed an innocent, law abiding citizen.
