Here on the left coast we had a young guy try to detonate a fake bomb at a Christmas tree lighting ceremony. He didn't know it was fake and his lawyers are trying to get him off the hook because they claim the govt. set him up. He is a Muslim. He clearly had the intent however the govt went about getting him.

Native Bostonian here - thanks for thoughts and prayers. Unfortunately, the death toll has been increased by one - now it's 3. One of those dead is an 8 year old boy. Reports from people at the hospitals about many limbs being lost. One poor person lost both a foot and a hand. Some people who were impacted by the school shooting in CT were in VIP bleacher seats near the explosions. The last mile of the marathon was dedicated to the memory of those who died in that tragedy. A rabbi from Downtown Boston Chabad was near the site and he - along with emergency people - went to see if he could help anyone. He was a calming and welcome presence at a very traumatic scene.

If prayers helped there would be no acts of terrorism, no murders, no catastrophes, no accidents. I would become a great believer and would pray all the time. Naturally, I would pray BEFORE acts of terror happen, as people actually do every Saturday or Sunday in their temples or churches. Why do I have the impression nobody listens?
