1. Pessimistic Long Term
Zechariah   (04.20.13)
Long Term the Dangers in the decades ahead are horrific as Psychosis and Science get more Malignant. UltraSurvivalism ought start now.
2. oh the Americans 4got to pass out sweets
W. Turner ,   Israel   (04.20.13)
in other words how are these partying Americans different from the Palestinians in the West Bank?
3. A single common denominator to violence and strife befallen
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (04.20.13)
on societies throughout the Arab Middle East, North Africa, Southern Asia and beyond, and now, again, in the streets of America: Islamism, which is different from Islam. But, for "politically correct" motives some of us, including cultural and political leaders, refuse to face reality for what it is. If we, as a civilization, intend to survive this wave coming from the Muslim world, we ought to shell off our "narratives", i.e. fictional stories designed for political expediency, and examine the world in which we dwell based on fact and rational analysis, and do so now.
4. foolish, they think if they think its done...
Israela ,   Israel   (04.20.13)
as those of us with real knowledge about how terrorism works know this is not a reality show, it's reality and no it isn't going away. feeling sorry for the Americans behaving like Pollyanna.
5. No boundaries to the Americans stupidity
Rotem ,   Israel   (04.20.13)
- You got a terror act. - People got killed and injured - The Police screwed up again and killed a source of information, instead of arresting him. - Rambo got the other guy Is that a reason to celebrate? Get out of your pathetic Hollywoodic views and show some RESPECT for the dead ones and their families! IDIOTS!!
6. 1-5 those are some of the stupidest comments I've ever read
Israeli-American ,   Boston, USA   (04.20.13)
2: What are you talking about? It was a very stressful week in Boston. Boston was on lock down for an entire day and then the police successfully captured the terrorist... how is people celebrating this similar to Palestinians celebrating in the West Bank? 3: Billions of Muslims exist and only a few thousand are radicalized. Your analysis is simple bigotry. It's no different than the "Jews run the world" bigotry of Anti-Semites 5: The police screwed up? The one who died was wearing a suicide vest and was in a shoot out with the police, and his own BROTHER ran him over with the car when he tried to escape... the other one was caught alive... how on Earth did the police screw up? Yours is the stupidest comment of all 5! Rambo got the other? What the hell are you talking about?!
7. Americans are delusional
Serge ,   NY, US   (04.20.13)
Last year my sister in law said she was afraid to visit Israel after Israel's one week war in Gaza. I explained to her that Israel is safer than US and she should leave her Long Island cave more often. Her boyfriend said then that Israel is a country that will explode any moment. This was Mr. Delusional 2 since one week later many kids were killed in Connecticut school...Ah, forgot Batman in the movie theatre and Bruce Lee in another University and Columbine, and 9/11, etc, etc etc. And now Boston! Mr. and Mrs Delusionals my 12 year old israelu niece is smarter than all of you when she says that there is no safer place than Israel (forgot to mention rape and killings around). Stupidity of a society is shown thru their celebrations after this two terrorist were captured. Maybe whole Boston is in bars now celebrating and getting wasted. Unfortunatelly, a big part of American society is completely isolated from the reality of the world and they just live their reality tv show.

Are you really asking that question? Let me help you. On one hand you have people celebrating a terrorist act which caused the death of 1000's of innocents. On the other hand, you see people celebrating that the perpetrators of terrorism have been caught and will be brought to justice. Is the difference really that hard for you to see?

solomon ,   bklyn   (04.20.13)
No different from “Pals” in the WB? That’s like equating Israel’s attacks on terrorists to the original terrorist actions. People are happy they can go out on the street; the sorrow will come. Americans react differently than Israelis as this is comparatively new to them. And Rotem, when police or the IDF are shot at, they shoot back. I ain’t so easy to arrest someone who wants to kill you. The reason to celebrate is that it’s over, that these two did not escape. Idiots? No.
10. #3 Right you are
shreff ,   milwaukee   (04.20.13)
It is difficult when the White House itself sets the standard for political correctness. The problem is that recognition would logically lead to action, which is scary to some. Hence Ft Hood was termed "workplace violence". Now that we know the bombers were Muslim, Boston will probably be termed "Tax Day Sporting Event Violence."

Maybe you should look into the mirror before judging someone else's behavior. At least, the Canadians and Mexicans don't entertain themselves lobbing missiles at us whenever they get bored or want some attention. One could wonder, why all of Gaza isn't a giant parking lot..... Exactly how long do you think there'd be an Israel, if it weren't for stupid Americans???? There are 6+ million US Jews, who seem to bet that it wouldn't be very long. All of that aside, maybe unlike some other people, we are just not much for celebrating past miseries for millenia or allow ourselves to be defined forever by disasters. As horrible as it was, give it a few years and 9/11 will be just another date on the calendar. As for spending too much time on mourning for the dead, I have the feeling the dead don't give a flying flip one way or the other, so why waste the time ?
12. I don't understand
Dave ,   LA, California   (04.20.13)
One 7 year old boy has been killed, his little sister lost a leg, three other innocent people have been killed also along with a couple hundred people seriously injured and yet people in Boston celebrate?!? I am glad the terrorists who committed this act were captured and killed but is a celebration really appropriate? It just seems really weird to me. I don't think the victims' families are celebrating.
13. Found the Cheering Odd
Bruce ,   Kentucky, USA   (04.20.13)
The people who were acting as if the Bruins had won the Stanley Cup struck me as very odd so I watched more coverage and tried to focus on the people who weren't celebratory. NBC's coverage was terrible, Brian Williams sounded like a teenage cheerleader not a newsman. Couldn't understand all the people saying they'd "sleep well" now as if the world had magically righted itself.
14. Catching a pin in a haystack is great achievement.
Michael ,   California, USA   (04.20.13)
The US is very big and has over 300 million people. They were caught rather quickly by the very efficient security forces. A great achievement. To those who are jealous: eat your heart out stupid.
15. #6 clearly u haven't read TBs attached 2 Yahoo articles

16. as if they won a war

JS ,   USA   (04.21.13)
If we had won a war, like many times before, the celebration would have been different. Just celebrating that these terrorists have been caught or killed., and in the processs was reminded of who we are, the way we think and live.......watch from afar and learn
18. @ 5 your very stupid for everything you wrote
j ,   h   (04.22.13)
