1. the difference
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (04.23.13)
In Israel led by "right wing" Netanyahu, a convicted terrorist goes on a hunger strike and gains his freedom, no one cares about the rule of law, the victims, or the soldiers who risked their lives to arrest him. In the US led by "left wing" Obama, hunger striking prisoners who have never been given a trial are force fed. Let's just hope that Netanyahu doesn't apologize to Issawi or give him compensation.

9. When our good will is being exploited it's time to change
Avi   (04.23.13)
It's not acceptable that terrorists will now arrange their own deals and be released from a "hunger strike" that lasts 8 months. Force feed him, or come up with a different solution. But this is not acceptable. They can't ride on our good will.
10. Hunger striker
Get Real ,   UK   (04.23.13)
Imprisonment is meant to deter and punish. By giving in to hunger strikers it only sets an example and encourages more such actions in order to gain release. Force feeding seems the answer. It's not as though Israel has not had to deal with rioting before. So every time there is a threat of riots terrorists will be released? And is he likely to keep to his release conditions this time?
