Syrias use of chemical weapons against the destruction of the Alawite Power Base Reflects a Venal Desperation and a severe Warning to the Human Rights Democracies to get their houses in order and strengthen their Survivalist Powers .A key is The USA and Russia maintaining Control with China getting serious re WMD proliferation .
2. not again
big k ,   snmnc   (04.29.13)
why is it always israel that pushes the US to another war ? didn't they had a same proof for iraq ? oh well ..
3. Israel Wants Al Qaeda Rebels Winning?
Jersey Jew ,   New Jersey, USA   (04.29.13)
Plus powerful Russia and China outraged IF their their HUGE, long-time investments in Syria are attacked. Clearly, our USA can't control dysfunctional Syria's or the region's future from 10,000 miles away? Everyone knew that Iraq was top active enemy of both Al Qaeda & Iran, and now both are in power in Iraq. Not smart ... Israel needs 2think well beyond today. Not smart ... again!
4. Give it up. No one takes Israeli lies seriously.
Persian CAT   (04.29.13)
Even if those weapons were used, the fact that Israel is announcing it makes it hard to believe. Israel has absolutely no credibility.
5. Question for Persian Cat
Jason, Ph.D. ,   Charlotte, USA   (04.29.13)
How can you think Allah is on the side of the Muslims, when He sees them murdering their own co-religionists at a horrific rate? I look forward to your answer. Allah is watching.
6. Now that there's proof
Fliplip ,   USA   (04.29.13)
Yes! Now that there's definitely proof, the US will do absolutely nothing. It would be better for them to admit they're becoming more like the UN and not mouth off what they will do when mostly everyone knows the won't because they can't. Now where was I - oh, yes, I was in the middle of crushing cheerios under my feet!
7. "be careful what you wish for"
tom ,   toronto, canada   (04.29.13)
this is the latest of several announcements from the israeli establishment, that seem intnded to embarrass the white house into taking action in syria. but is this wise? president obama's track record in the middle east is a long string of dubious successes, which resulted in the replacement of western-friendly regimes by islamist fundamentalists. even in a situation like libya, when most people thought that ghaddafi was about as bad as it could get, skilful american intervention succeeded in helping a less favourable regime into power. in syria, it could be said that it's in america's (and israel's) interests for assad to lose, but not for the opposition to win. and tying down american forces in syria might not be the best answer to the iranian problem, either. israel should be concentrating on the head of the snake, in tehran, instead of calling attention to the tail.
8. Assad is a psychopath as are members of his regime
Cipora Julianna Kohn ,   Z   (04.29.13)
israel will not intervene in syria as long as the assad regime does not attempt to pass wmd's or advanced weapons systems to hezbollah. the most logical way to deal with the assad regime is to destroy the nuclear weapons program of the vile genocidal terror regime of iran. both assad and hezbollah are dependent on iran for weapons, training, fighters and financing.
9. yeah, sure, clumsy attempt
the_MEK ,   London, UK   (04.29.13)
It wasn't too long ago that I would take this seriously, but since it's quite clear which country has what agenda and we've come to know how far those governemnts will go to try get military action in Syria and that WMD's are a convenient excuse, now that Israel has stopped to teh same rubbish talk as teh US, UK and France, Israel's credibility in this case has been shot to hell. We don't believe it. There is no proof. Even teh US admits it. But no, Israel does. Sure... come back and try again next week
10. Mossad's Meir Dagan: chemical weapons use “local decision"
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (04.29.13)
"use of chemical weapons in the Syrian civil war was a “local decision,” and it was “not approved by the Syrian government.”"
11. so what?
courtney ,   usa   (04.29.13)
leave us out of this
12. #2 -Do you prefer Israel will hide information?
a   (04.29.13)
Israel is sharing the information it has with it's allies. The US can check the information and do what's good for the US.
13. #12 "a": U Mean Screaming 2the Media
Jersey Jew ,   New Jersey, USA   (04.29.13)
... not simply sharing with our USA, eh? And repeatedly ... wonder why? In fact, Defense Secretary Hagel said that when he met with senior Israel officials they didn't mention it. Only first heard from media days later. Not smart 4Israel ...
