It would be great to find out how many of these fine men left the IDF with their religious beliefs in tact. I would suggest that if the % is high, it would prove to the Haredi public that they aren't being co-erced into leaving the faith On the other hand If they have a high drop out rate from religion, perhaps the Haredi Rabbis have a point that needs to be addressed

the Haredi drop-outs have learned some points that the to which the Haredim must educate themselves!

This shows that not every haredi male follows lockstep with what the haredi rabbis tell them to do. They are using their judgment and making their own decisions. Now if only other males will get a job to support themselves and their large families, and educate their children in secular subjects so they can get jobs to support their future families. There is hope yet!

it's: "1 million" "2 million" no "s" after million. BTW: israeli haredi population is about 800K
8. #1: not much of an argument

so say, 90% of people survived having their tooth pulled at a local dentist. is a 10% death rate acceptible to you? what percentage of assimilation and spiritual destruction is acceptible? also, even if its 100% that survive, haredim would say -and be right in saying - that the forced assimilation is only a matter of time. the army's main role here is indoctrination. the haredim should be very wary
9. Resenting Enlistment
Robert Haymond ,   Teqo'a, Israel   (05.01.13)
Much of what the public hears re Charedi enlistment is the resentment and fear of its (Charedi) leaders due to the impending loss of power. In fact, given the internet and actual living conditions of the majority here in Israel, all witnessed by youth Charedim, one can see that the youth are no longer so controlled by the lederly leadership. Much of what one hears or reads re the Charedim is simply one-sided and nearly always the expressions of this selfsame leadership.

One of the biggest Hasidic movements in Israel? Who? Belz? Ger? Part of the story is missing. Which Rebbe discreetly supports Kollel members to enlist in Shahar?

they would do well in military intelligence and linguistics and translations.
