Did I miss the part where the Arab League has the right and/or the authority to "negotiate" on behalf of the ersatz "Palestinians?" Money only gets you so far and, quite frankly, the Arabs have less of it than they are willing to admit. Petroleum isn't commanding the prices it once did, and there are inceasingly other energy options. So money isn't quite the leverage it once was. Moreover, better than two-thirds of the member states of the Arab League do not recognize the State of Israel. I don't see Israel putting its eggs in that corrupt basket. Besides -- the Arab League has been remarkably ineffective in Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Lebanon, Yemen and, most notably, Syria. They are not to be trusted, and Netanyahu is well advised to say "Thanks, but no thanks. Take a hike." It's all posturing on the part of the Arab League, anyway. They have enough problems of their own, and are sensibly disinclined to spend what's left of rapidly declining Arab wealth on a terrorist rabble. The ersatz "Palestinians" used to be able to lever cash -- lots of it -- out of the Arab League. That no longer works, either. Poor Abbas. What's a recalcitrant terrorist to do when it all goes south?

Don´t let´s fool ourselves. The Palestinians are members of the Arab league. Abbas can´t do anything without their approval. So behind PLO there is the Arab League. Therefore Israel in fact is negotiating with the Arab Leauge and not with the palestinians. PLO is only a pawn in their aim to conquer Israel and Jerusalem. Do understand that the way for muslims treating jews is shown in history, and how their role model Muhammeds related to jews. And that is to rule them, make them dhimmis or kill them. So the muslim Arab League will only accept terms for "peace" that one day will lead them to conqering Israel and Jerusalem. One of the main keys will be "the right of return". My understandig is that there´ll be no true peace until the arab states are made seculare, democratic and free, and that may take many many years to achieve.

Why is it so hard for supposedly "smart" Israelis to realize that the US is losing patience (no matter who replaces Obama) and eventually Israel will be forced to accept the solution the Arabs and the rest of the world force on Israel after the US throws up its hands and walks to the sidelines. The US will eventually abandon Israel and there is NO COUNTRY that will replace it and Israeli is powerless against the other 6 billion people on earth. REMEMBER how badly Israel LOST the Palestine vote in the UN, now imagine what it will look like when the US will no longer use its veto in the UNSC. It is TIME for Israelis to WAKE UP and realize they are on the edge of losing everything.

If we agree to this deal its based 100% on trust of arabs and all our security will be in their hands. Lets assume we make peace with Lebanon what about Hezbollah, they are a law unto themselves and the only people they answer to is Iran. If the Lebanese government makes peace will Hezbollah? The of course last but not least we have the right of return. The Arab League have talked about a JUST solution rather than specifying right of return but when the palestinians say right of return or no deal the Arab League are not going to come down on Israel's side and instead say ROR is a just solution now you either accept it Israel or the deal is off the table. Other than formerly agree to land swaps which Israel & the PA agreed on 20 years ago and every single Israeli PM and PA leader who have held talks have agreed on land swaps. Now the Arab League have given their permission to the idea of land swaps and we have taken a big step forward. At least we know now why during his visit Obama didn't start pushing new peace plans as he was expected to do. He has sent John Kerry to the Arab League convinced them to play sight of hand so they look like they have come up with something radically new so Israel must accept it. Then again what do you expect from John Kerry who before this violence in Syria began was convinced Assad wanted peace, regularly went to visit him and believed Israel should give him the Golan.

Do you remember, by the way, what happened to the USS LIBERTY when Israel discovered that it was channeling Israeli military communications to the Syrian and Jordanian high commands during wartime?
