Israel is already a jewish state. The UN partiton plan from 1947 divided the palestinian mandate, after creating Transjordan, in a JEWISH and an ARAB state. So having Israel recognized as a jewish state of the arabs is to have them recognize what they already should have recognized 1947. That recognitian would in fact be the criteria for peace. But I don´t think the arabs will do it. The reason is that they haven´t given up their dream to make Israel an muslim arab state.
