31. everybody is getting so exited but nothing new was offered
zionist forever   (05.06.13)
The arab plan was rejected outright because it said withdraw 100% to the border of June 1967 nothing to negotiate its either you accept every single one of the demands this plan makes or all deals are off. Was not practical so Israel never gave it a look in. Now here comes the Arab League with a major amendment to their plan, now they will permit some minor land swaps in the creation of a palestinian state. Suddenly everybody starts jumping for joy, Livni rushes off to the US to discuss the good news with John Kerry the idiot who was once convinced Assad was a man of peace and the key to regional peace. Every single politician on both Israel or palestinian sides who was ever involved in peace talks in some way agreed there would be land swaps. Its never been a controversial issue for either side and has just been taken for granted thats what will happen. Now the Arab League come along and announce they will permit minor land swaps and everybody thinks this is it we are going to restart talks now and a deal is imminent. Other than the fact the AL are offering nothing new at all thanks to the arab winter their plan will be harder than ever to agree on. Its going to be many years before even Meretz can start calling for us to give away the Golan but if course if we don't give it up we can't sign up to the new arab plan which allows land swaps with palestinians... brings a tear to my eye.
32. Israel wouldd benefit huge from Oslo lawsuit against Labor.
Chaim ,   Israel   (05.06.13)
There is a great opportunity for Israeli lawyers to build their careers while enormously benefiting Israel. They can do this by helping Oslo victims sue the Labor party for criminal negligence resulting in thousands of wrongful maimings and deaths. No matter what the outcome of the suit, it would be good for Israel. If Oslo victims win, it would acknowledge not only Labor's guilt. It would expose the absolute fraud of "peace talks with Palestinians". If Labor wins, it would suffer a public relations debacle by denying terror victims well deserved compensation from it's Oslo fiascso.
