I never said that Israel is based on jewish law. I said that Israel is a jewish country as it is specified in our basic law :"HUMAN DIGNITY AND LIBERTY" . Clause 1 stipulates that: "The purpose of this Basic Law is to protect human dignity and liberty, in order to establish in a Basic Law the values of the State of Israel as a Jewish and democratic state." Therefore it is well written that Israel should establish jewish values.

Democratic does not mean not jewish. Our country is jewish and democratic. Therefore Israel IS A JEWISH COUNTRY. Apparently you just don't want to considere the jewish character of our country.
