1. Syria seems to forget that it declared war .....
Dee Bee ,   Israel   (05.05.13)
65 years ago and has NEVER changed the status. One can only vomit when you see what this rotten, sick and vile Syrian regime, which has murdered more than 70,000 of its citizens and has planned to use chemical weapons against Israelis or ALL creeds, in collusion with its diseased ally, Hezbollah and then vilifies Israel for defending its own people!

4. What applies for you applies for others
Abdel Karim Salim ,   Jerusalem   (05.05.13)
I still remember what the late Egyptian president Anwar Sadat said in his March 1973 interview with Newsweek : ... " ( Israel's ) security is a catch-all . We ( the Arabs ) too need security... " . What is " right " for Israel is also " right " for the Arabs , especially Hizbullah ...
5. There was a book called, "While England Slept."
Rhonda ,   Chicago, USA   (05.05.13)
70,000 dead in Syria, a US Ambassador and staff murdered in Benghazi, Iran threatening to wipe Israel off the face of the earth (followed by death to the Big Satan) and Israel is the one threatening regional stability. 66,000 Hezbollah missiles aimed at Israel, yes, clearly the Israelis should allow Iran to arm Hezbollah through Syria. I think the Israelis read the book, "While England Slept."
6. Syria a declaration of war ?! Bye bye

Interesting handle Abdel. You report your address as Yerushalayim (Eretz Yisrael), you take up with Hezbollah sovereignty, and your handle is "stalingrad." Does this mean you are en enlightened World Citizen?

13. State of War
Steve ,   Dallas USA   (05.05.13)
Syria has been in a state of war against Israel since Israel's indpendence. Like other Arab countries, it wants to be able to take actions against Israel under this state of war with no consequences. But small reminder: States of war go two ways. Everything Israel did was legitimate under the state of war already long ago declared by Syria.

Airstrikes while sitting on their thumbs and Hezbollah states that strike was in 99% civilian area. Sure hasn't bothered them when they target civilian areas and destroy women and children!
16. #13 Steve: Yes, you are right!
Dee Bee ,   Israel   (05.05.13)
The Lebanese should have a look at the pictures of Lebanon after the 2006 Lebanon War II when Hezbollah attacked Israel and murdered two Israel soldiers and Nasrallah hid in his bunker and is still there! Syria and Iran are again prepared to sacrifice Lebanon to do their dirty work. Time the people of Lebanon rid themselves of the yoke of Hezbollah and Nasrallah and became free!
19. poor old assad can't even go o war with israel if he tried
zioist forever   (05.05.13)
Half his weapons that would have once been used against Israel have either been used against rebels or destroyed by them. The army is splintered The troops who are still loyal need to be used to fight the rebels. All Assad has got right now is propaganda which may encourage some to return to the fold worry about the old enemy. The thing Israel has to worry about from Assad is if he decides he wants to go down in a blaze of glory through the use of chemical weapons against Israel when he knows its all over. This is a threat that grows by the day because the longer this drags on & more people he kills the fewer and fewer countries will be willing to give him asylum if he agrees to step down voluntarily meaning he can only fight till the end and if he does that he will love to be remembered as the Syrian president who caused mass Israeli casualties, a great legacy for an arab leader everybody hates right now.
20. Assad, advice to you and your sponsors
Cipora Julianna Kohn ,   Z   (05.05.13)
do not involve israel in your sordid affairs. do not arm Islamic terror groups who want to attack the jewish state of Israel. mind your own business.
21. Lies, damned lies and Arab propaganda
David Hersch ,   Cape Town, South Afr   (05.13.13)
I would say that the links between Israel and the Syrian insurgency are tenuous at best, unlike the Syrian Iran links. Wonderful how these heirs to the Arabian Nights let their imaginations run wild finding justification for whatever ills they perpetrate. As for Israel, it is a Hobson's choice between the Islamists rebels and the Assad regime, but then we have lived with lies, damned lies and Arab propaganda for a very long time.
