"Strategic stupidity?" What do you mean by that? Are you referring to geopolitical strategy? If yes, would you mind telling me how you came to be a strategic expert on the Middle East? And are you basing your theories and conclusions on what will be good for the United States or on what will be good for Israel? Israel is going to take the lead here. It is, after all, our neighborhood. The United States has an inept president who has made a lot of impressive speeches and not much else. There's a tinpot dictator in North Korea who threatens to attack the United States, and Obama does nothing. The entire Middle East is aflame, and Obama stirs the fires. He draws "red lines" and then promptly dances away. He lies and orders a cover-up with respect to a terrorist attack on the United States Consulate in Benghazi, which killed the United States ambassador to Libya and several others. You see, no one takes the American president seriously. No one is afraid of the United States. Everyone takes Israel seriously, and everyone is afraid of us. That's a good thing. Fear is better than love. You cannot compel someone to love you, but you can compel them to fear you. Machiavelli knew that centuries ago, and anyone with half a brain knows it remains true now.
