1. That would be great!!
Hareidi ,   Israel   (05.13.13)
I am a normal Hareidi person, one who works and whos sons go to the army. If all those anti Israel nutcases really would leave it would be better for everyone, better for the country and better for us normal Hareidim who are always looked down upon because everyone thinks we're like those Mea Sharim types! Go !
2. Yes please do
Haim ,   TA   (05.13.13)
Im sure we can arrange a ride to the airport for them
3. Would they really leave?
Jonathan Baum ,   Kibbutz Sasa, Israel   (05.13.13)
While it is tempting to respond to this article with "Great. Don't let the door hit you on the ass on your way out," what the issues of Haredi non-participation in state activities really come down to is money. A government with real stones would respond "Fine. No IDF service? No money. None for your schools, none for your child-welfare payments, none to subsidize your life of Torah study without work." "No core curriculum? OK. Pay your own expenses." Then lets see if they have the free time to throw stones at women who wear a white tallit at the Kotel. After all, in America, the Haredim have to work for a living.
4. These people who contribute nothing
Naomi   (05.13.13)
to the country - it'll be good news if they finally leave the land permanently!!! And if they clear out Mea Shearim, then hopefully that area will be transform into a really CLEAN and peaceful neighhourhood.
5. Time to say good-by
(05.13.13)
As far as I'm concerned, they can't leave soon enough. In fact, if I were living in Israel, I would volunteer to help them pack.
6. Totally Against Jewish Law
Yishai Kohen ,   YeShA, Israel   (05.13.13)
And if they emigrate, chances are that they will have to work, unlike the 70% of Israeli Hareidi men, who don't.
7. Great news
taxpaying Israeli   (05.13.13)
This would be the best possible outcome
8. I imagine that if you polled the rest of the Jews..
Bill Pearlman ,   New York   (05.13.13)
in Israel they would be happy to buy them plane tickets. Or better yet bus tickets to gaza or Syria.
9. Oy, a mehaye: could we be so lucky?!
tom ,   tel aviv   (05.13.13)
10. "The Haredim should emigrate"
Stan ,   Israel   (05.13.13)
Exccelent idea, the sooner the better.
11. Don't Celebrate-No Other Country Supports Such Parasites
Seth ,   Washington, DC   (05.13.13)
12. About time...!
Cohen,Israel   (05.13.13)
Farewell and thanks for the fish...
13. Why did they come in first place?
Anna ,   Montreal, Canada   (05.13.13)
"The claim is based on the haredi perception which sees the establishment of the State as a revolt against God and the world's nations, which citizens will be punished for." And the answer will be: Economic migrants.
14. POLAND IS WAITING FOR THEM
alan ash ,   nyc ny   (05.13.13)
THEY DO NOT CONTRIBUTE TO SOCIETY . LETS SEE WHAT OTHER COUNTRY WOULD PUT UP WITH THAT
15. See what Israel can do without us
Daniel ,   Jerusalem   (05.13.13)
If there are no orthodox left in Israel, who will study the TORAH to save our people from destruction?
16. When modern Zionists arrived...
Sherlock Holmes ,   London England   (05.13.13)
When the modern Zionists arrived in the 19th Century, the Haredim were here in Jerusalem, Sefas, Tiberias, Hebron etc to greet them. The Haredim have been here for many centuries under the Ottomans and previous rulers. The founders of the modern secular state took the Haredim into account when setting up the state of Israel. Most Israeli Jews from Arab lands and the former Soviet Union came a few years later.
17. I think this would be GREAT for Israel
National Religious ,   Jerusalem   (05.13.13)
Heredim don't support or believe in the state... and they cost all who do work a lot of money... and they are so unappreciative and hateful. But they will not do it because they know in any other country they will not receive any of the benefits they get here.
18. ????
mark ,   ca   (05.13.13)
Can any of you name a country who want them? :-))
19. Haredim
Philip ,   Afula, Israel   (05.13.13)
Wishing you all a sailors farewell.
20. One Problem Only
Jake ,   Haifa   (05.13.13)
There is only one problem with this excellent idea: who would take them? Every country on earth wants tax paying citizens who work, and speak the local language, not welfare recipients who don't even bother to learn the local language or anything else enabling them to work.
21. Re: Totally Against Jewish Law
E ,   CT, SA   (05.13.13)
Jewish Law isn't a problem for them as they make it up as they go along. They take the attitude that "we're so frum we can do what we want." and they don't care about G-d because they have their rabbis.
22. Problem: nobody will take them in.
Michael ,   California, USA   (05.13.13)
Mongolia has a lot of room, but they are happy over there, unlike the Haredim. No country will want to destroy itself from within. But they MUST go because Israel doesn't want to destroy itself either.
23. #1, Why not put a kipa sruga on your head?
Michael ,   California, USA   (05.13.13)
24. Every planeload we'll display our flags like Independnce Day
kippah seruga ,   Israel   (05.13.13)
25. Question ,...
split ,   US   (05.13.13)
Who wants or missed them ??? ,...
26. #3 - in America, the Haredim have to work for a living.
split ,   US   (05.13.13)
Crap !!! They're milking the system more boldly than those in Israel and when caught cheating or stealing shout 'antisemitism' - Google 'Them and Them' and read, that's just a drop in the bucket ,...
27. Really, where would they go?
Susan ,   Kfar Saba   (05.13.13)
Maybe a few are citizens of another country, but most arent. Who would take them in? And what would they do for money with no job skills or foreign language since they refuse to learn English? No other country will give them money or tolerate their kids not learning regular subjects in school. In fact, in a lot of countries they would have to pay very high tuition for private schools. They're not going anywhere.
28. AMAZING!
M. Davison ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (05.13.13)
All the secular readers supporting the idea of a Haredi rabbi! I seriously doubt he expected such unanimous support from the hiloni sector when he wrote those words.
29. Plane tickets for Haredim ?
marian ,   Romania   (05.13.13)
You don`t have to buy them plane tickets because they could go to Syria and Egypt by bus. But think about, you will have to increase your Fertility rate with 2 or 3 additional children per woman.
30. bye bye. shut the lights on your way out.
ralph   (05.13.13)
