Raising VAT is taking from the poor to give to the rich. Billionaires are getting tax breaks, while those on minimum wage are going to be unable to afford to eat fruit and vegetables. But these tax hikes are at the expense of the people who DO work, and get paid low wages. This move is going to drive the working poor into poverty.
