1. "We can show Syrians, world we want peace" - wrong
Gabor ,   Budapest, Hungary   (05.14.13)
The world is interested only in the settlements, "occupation" and the "war crimes" committed during Op. Pillar of Defense, when 1500 rockets were fired into Gaza, resulting in 150 deaths in the most densly populated area in the world.
2. Amazing. Now find an example of Arab doctors...
mb   (05.14.13)
...saving a Jewish child's life. Oh right, there isn't one.
3. Israeli doctors performing their duties
Ivan ,   South Africa   (05.14.13)
What a lucky four year old Syrian girl. You have been blessed by Hashem.
4. #1
Me ,   USA   (05.14.13)
Gabor, Wow , The world are not interested in the settlement. The Arab world wants to kill all the Jews. That is just BS. Most people know it. Everyone wants to blame Israel instead of looking at their selves first. I guess Israel did not know they are not allowed to defend themselves. Look what is happening in Syria and world does not care. Arabs are probably blaming Israel what is happening in Syria.
5. Very much respect..
Palestinian   (05.14.13)
Very much respect to the surgeons who run this organization. I really do hope that the main intention is humanitarian and not publicity.

Avi ,   Schunat Tikva   (05.14.13)
Hey Gabor, The world is more worried about your Neo Nazi parties you got running around looking for an excuse to harass Jews and other minorities and maybe start trouble in Europe altogether. Your occupation together with your war crime buddies Austria of sovereign Polish land hasn't been forgotten. Budapest needs the same lesson its terrorist friends in Gaza needed. And you can hide behind your womans skirts too..
7. No. 5 Unbelievable!
Emma ,   London   (05.14.13)
It was humanitarian because that is who Jews are. Do not judge Jews by your own behavioural standards.
8. #5 what publicity do you think Isreal needs.
Sam   (05.14.13)
What you know you can not do, and you can not even appreciate the good humanitarian act, just bury your head in SHAME.
9. #4 this is never news on Al Jazeera or BBC
Gabor ,   Budapest, Hungary   (05.14.13)
or generally in the media outside of Israel. Any you're right, I'm still waiting for a report on Al Jazeera, in which a journalist or a professor explains that the root cause of the civil war and massacres is the fact that the Syrian people are frustrated because of the occupation of the Golan. But actually it's not just blaming everything on Israel. It's simple and pure hatred towards the jews, which is taught to the Arabs from the moment they are born.
10. #5 People helping people Doctors and Nurses help people
American girl ,   USA   (05.14.13)
With or without publicity. It's called kindness.
11. #6 Avi, FYI: quotation marks in my comment
(05.14.13)
definitely not my neo nazi parties, not my occupation and not my warcrimes because Israel is my homeland, but thank you for your kind thoughts :)
12. In re #1
Amy ,   off rt 40   (05.14.13)
I actually thought Gabor was being sarcastic. I mean, think about it. While Gaza is not at all the most densely populated area in the world, that is a total lie, but at the same time, 1500 rockets fired into Gaza and only 150 fatalities makes it obvious that Israel was not interested in mass murder, contrary to the propaganda and lies.
13. #12 at least someone understood
Gabor ,   Budapest, Hungary   (05.14.13)
OK, not most, but Gaza is one of the most densely populated areas in the world. And comment #11 is mine, just forgot to write my name.
14. Kudos
Adam Neira ,   Paris, France   (05.14.13)
Great heartwarming story ! Kudos to Doctor Lior Sasson and his helpers at the Israeli Edith Wolfson Medical Center.
15. Wish it made Palestinian headlines when
American girl ,   USA   (05.14.13)
Israel provides medical care for Arabs. Israel helps Arab children and adults from all over the world!
16. #2 Are you sure about that? there are many Arab
American girl ,   USA   (05.14.13)
Doctors worldwide.
17. Thank you Israel
Abu Yousuf el Dugri   (05.14.13)
Now Arabs must learn.
18. heart surgery
Zsolt ,   Wanganui,NZ   (05.14.13)
I apologize for hijacking this inspirational story, but Jews and Israel will need to perform "heart surgery" on the whole world, despite the whole world hating us. As the whole global world is facing desperate helplessness, sliding ever deeper into crisis, only Jews and Israel possess the historical experience and the blueprint how to create unity, mutual cooperation above inherent differences, rejection and hatred in order to survive. Our whole history and all our sacred writings are about this, and now the whole humanity needs this remedy. Being "Light into the nations" can guarantee our own survival within a changed world.
19. Gabor
Yoel ,   Mizpe Ramon, Israel   (05.14.13)
You are wrong. If you are the Gabor I remember from my talk during the tour with you, you should know better. Dash
20. Thank you Dr. Sasson and
HK ,   Tel Aviv   (05.14.13)
the whole team at Wolfson. I am so privileged to be part of SACH, and proud of its success. Long and healthy life to this little Syrian girl.
21. #2 - you are wrong, there are.....
HK ,   Tel Aviv   (05.14.13)
22. #5
HK ,   Tel Aviv   (05.14.13)
For your information ALL the children coming to Wolfson hospital for heart surgery are either Christians or Moslems. SACH does not need publicity. The team is helping only for HUMANITARIAN purposes. Please do keep this in mind!!
23. There are Arab doctors
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (05.14.13)
in Israel , and certainly in many other countries . The question is not "will an Arab doctor save a Jewish life" but will such a fact happen in a Arab / Muslim country ?
24. #9 - you'll be waiting a long time
William ,   Israel   (05.14.13)
because there is no proof that the Syrian civil war is due to the Golan being a part of Israel. It is due to the oppression and massacres of Syrians at the hands of the Bathists for decades now, like the wiping out of whole city blocks and people in Homs who demanded more freedom and democracy. Are you saying that because Israel holds the Golan heights that democracy and a better economy cannot come to Syria? That's crap and exactly why most Arabs States are failing. The only correct statement you mentioned is the intense hatred of Jews taught to Arabs from birth. Fix that problem, and the rest will be fixed on its own.
25. #1 - sadly, it's true...
William ,   Israel   (05.14.13)
despite most of what you mentioned being factually incorrect. No war crimes were committed during Pillar of Defense, which is why no court in the world accepted any lawsuit against Israel. While 1500 rockets were fired into Gaza, they were done so with exact precision and with ample warning to residents in the area - even though Hamas tried to thwart that several times. Of those Gazans killed, half were legitimate targets, some were unfortunately placed in harm's way by their leadership who used them as human shields, and some were killed by Gazan fire and rockets. And Gaza is not the most densely populated place on Earth. Monaco is followed by Singapore - and look how peaceful and prosperous they are with out Islamic terror. As far as settlements - interesting the world is concerned even though Arafat himself signed agreements to the effect of larger blocs being part of Israel in a land swap, and allowing for natural growth while a peace deal was being hammered out. If it didn't concern him, it shouldn't concern people foreign to the region.
26. I can recomend a great London trained Syrian Opthalmologist
Alan ,   SA   (05.14.13)
27. #13 - but you did ignore Amy's other comment
William ,   Israel   (05.14.13)
and that is - even if Gaza is highly populated, and Israel fired 1500 missiles into Gaza, the result was 150 deaths - half of them being terrorists - means that Israel took great pains to avoid civilian deaths and did not commit war crimes. What say you?
28. If they got their passports stamped ...
observer ,   abrouad   (05.14.13)
they will never be allowed back into Syria
29. Syrian doc might have have just eat'n her heart!
Jerome ,   Basalt, Colorado   (05.14.13)
I hear it's the newest fad in syria!
30. That is to be a light under the nations
Yossef   (05.14.13)
and that makes me proud. I hope this young girl will not forget.
