32. #29 your nonsense
solomon ,   bklyn   (05.17.13)
Nothing about the Pals arriving with the Muslim Conquest, a few thousand years after the Jews? Nothing about suicide bombers on buses (which the wall stopped)? Nothing about the arabs beginning every war and refusing to talk to Israel. You have a lot of catching up to do as regards history...factual history, not your ersatz kind.
33. WarGaming, WarGaming, WarGaming
Michael Storch ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (05.17.13)
The problem is that the mission was too narrowly drawn, and the reason was that the people taking the decision were too narrow a group. If more retired Israeli diplomats & journalists (for example) had been involved in a proper wargaming exercise, the potential for violent confrontation would have been more obvious, intelligence or not. Defining the mission as seizing a ship led to the deployment of naval commandos, while defining the mission as defusing a violent protest might have led to the deployment of magavnikim. There might have been 40 cracked knees and 60 broken elbows, but there would have been no funerals. Cheers,
34. Israelis die due to cowardly government pandering.
Chaim ,   Israel   (05.17.13)
#3 Excellent post. Israelis are constantly being maimed and murdered soley because of cowardly government pandering to the media, the U.N., Obama etc. It's a disgusting and totally intolerable situation. The worst example of all is Oslo; when egomaniac Labor leaders pursued Nobel Prizes as Israelis were maimed and murdered, by the thousands, as a result of their idiocy.
35. Marmara blunder
Ameridane ,   Aarhus, Denmark   (05.17.13)
The reason why i stopped writing to Ynet was owed precisely to the Marmara blunder. Some people wrote in with ideas how to "neutralize" the Palestinian PR which incidentally is far superior to IDF. Among the ideas was to tow the ship to Ashdod or Egypt, using grapples, another was to cripple the steering rudder but the best one which in my opinion was by somebody from Be'er Sheva. Simple and effective in which to send an Israeli vessel with The Hamas Manifesto to Liquidate Israel written on a very large canvas. This would not have stopped Marmara but the world could read Hamas's Manifesto. It seems that the solution was by force and the looser was the IDF and Israel. Why waste time on writing to Ynet as nobody really cares.

39. image
Brian ,   south carolina, sc   (05.19.13)
Forget image. Israeli image will be hunted forever. Protect your soldiers at all costs. Image will lose for millennium. My only hope rests in Israeli advances in medical research to change image. Even the Haiti earthquake response got negative issue. Support medical research and find cures for mankind.
