how much were you paid for this little game?
2. Too bad bibi did not gow a pair!
jason white ,   afula,israel   (05.14.13)
The fool and little buraq the minister of defense (for the palis) should have sent the turkey ship to the bottom of the Med. Now would be the right time to have the I.A.F. hit the i.c.c. without warning and leave a nice big hole in its place. But that would take a p.m. with guts and bibi is too much of a coward to do that. The only compensation we should give the turkeys should be a few neutron bombs on their blood thirsty army of Kurd killers and arm the Kurds with whatever they need to fight against the turkish murderers.
3. The Only Error
Jordan Ariel ,   USA   (05.14.13)
The only error that led to loss of life is the insistence of the IHH thugs on the accursed Mavi Marmara (may it rot) to attack the IDF officers boarding the ship. Every single other boarding went without incident. Only on the accursed one did the thugs have murderous intent. It is Israel that should sue, and not the other way around.
4. Turkey violated a legal security blockade
Israeli ,   Haifa   (05.14.13)
A legal security blockade of a sovereign nation. Our soldiers boarded the vessel with paint guns and were met with crow bars. I think these people are protesting too much. They are over pressing the issue because they were wrong and they know it.
5. ICC: What about 80,000 victims in Syrian war, silence ?

6. Marmara 1001 Nights Tale !
Mark ,   T.a.Israel   (05.14.13)
From the beginning I had the impression that this Incident will be a THORN for the Israeli Policymakers difficult to extirpate ! As it is well known in military doctrine that a wrong decision will follow you till the E N D !
7. Here we go again
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (05.14.13)
The UN is violating international law. Israel is not a signatory of the Rome Statute and the ICC is violating their own charter yet again. They have no jurisdiction in this matter
8. This is nonsens.
Beary White ,   Norway   (05.14.13)
The blocade is legal. The overtake of Marmara was even tried to run peacefully, but the erdogan supported terrorist-group, IHH, made it into a battle and lost ther lifes intentionally, just to be happy martyrs in the name of the cult. What abouth 12.000 rockets from gaza, which is terror from islamic followers against a peacful country.

Between The Comoros, Israel & the law firm. Why don't you read. Are u sick? 4 hours ago...Turkey, Exxon Reach Iraq Oil Deal. Turkey's state-run oil firm has struck an agreement with U.S. oil giant Exxon Mobil Corp. to develop joint projects in Kurdish-administered northern Iraq. The Kurdish government will sell oil and gas directly to Turkey in a deal that so far has bypassed the Iraqi government in Baghdad, which has warned the Kurds not to sign separate energy accords. Turkey may also take the Kurdish government’s stake in concessions operated by Exxon Mobil Corp.

Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.15.13)
I hope the ICC (which has no jurisdiction over Israel, as Israel is not a signatory to the treaty which created the ICC) doesn't lose sight of the fact that Israel's blockade of Gaza is fully legal and internationally recognized -- as borne out by the Palmer Report. Any attempt to breach a fully legal and internationally recognized blockade is therefore illegal. Moreover, the vessel did not carry humanitarian aid (a few boxes of expired over-the-counter medications and a handful of old, mouldy blankets do not constitute "humanitarian aid." That said -- Israel should disavow its agreement with Turkey to pay compensation to the families of the marauding terrorists who were killed in Israel's defense of its fully legal and internationally recognized blockade. It is not in Israel's best interests to "mend fences" with Turkey. Turkey has nothing to offer Israel.

The problem is not whether blockade of gaza is legal or not..The problem is killing civilians in inetrnational waters..
14. # 11..You're wrong again..and pitifully wrong!
Edithann ,   USA   (05.15.13)
The ICC does have jurisdiction over Israel....Why on earth do you think Israel was so adamant about keeping Palestine out of the UN? This is the one thing Israel is deathly afraid of. and they should be! Now if only Abbas would get off his ass and go after Israel at the ICC... Don't listen to Sarah B...he/she knows nothing about anything and is determined to keep the Israeli readers ignorant. And from what i've read..she's doing a great Hasbara job on you all..However, she does Israel and Israel no good with that BS Hasbaera Rah,Rah, crap... Wake up...The ICC is very serious for Israel...and 'we' have no clout because we're not signatures’....but we should also be up on charges...But I'm so happy Israel is... That’s what Israel gets for going it alone…and now they’ll be in the dock alone… Yes, you tell them Sarah...I'm sure Turkey is the one who wants to mend fences with Israel....hahahaha ...you must be smoking some good stuff crazy girl! 15. shooting activists in the back
elke ,   usa   (05.15.13)
As the Palmer report said, the blockade may have been legal but shooting activists multiple times in the back and "significant mistreatment" of passenger/detainees "was never adequately explained" by Israel. Also, the assault on the ship took place 72 miles from land, well beyond the blockade zone. Not surprised this isn't going away.
16. One need only to listen to Turkish law firm to understand
William ,   Israel   (05.15.13)
"If this will not bring about results, we'll know that certain countries are influencing the court," And by results, he means labeling the IDF war criminals and the passengers all innocent civilians. Anything close to the truth will be rejected as "court tampering". Just like UNHRC, the law firm has rendered a guilty verdict and is looking for someone to help legitimize it regards of facts.
17. Israel must assemble top legal team to counter ICC.
Chaim ,   Israel   (05.15.13)
Q: What can we expect from the ICC? A: A politically motivated totally dishonest anti-Israel judgement, similar to the bilge constantly spewed by the U.N. Israel needs to assemble a top flight legal team to expose the coming campaign of evil from the ICC and totally discredit it. The truth is totally on Israel's side. We need merely use it.
18. were r all our lawyers. why r we not suing every government,

19. To: No. 9
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.15.13)
Go for it, baby. How are you planning to ship the oil and gas where it's wanted? Think you can undercut Israel's prices from its vast reserves? Good luck with that one! (Snicker.)
20. Hope to see Bibi on...."List of people indicted in the ICC"

23. This whole story will teach the Israelis
Final justice   (05.15.13)
and other people from law-abiding countries that once a terrorist you are always a terrorist. In other words, the families of the 9 terrorists rightfully killed after they attacked the members of a legal army who were enforcing a legal blockade, are the same terror loving families no matter how much Israel and Turkey are trying to mend fences. As for the ICC, they have zero jurisdiction over Israel and this whole matter. I guess that a huge guilt can and should be attributed to Erdogan who not only encouraged his IHH thugs, but especially supported Mavi Marmara's terror activities against a sovereign state - Israel. Now, I guess, Turkey wants compensations, the terrorist families want separate compensations via ICC and they also want the Israeli military imprisoned. That simply won't fly !!! Let me tell the terrorist families and Erdogan what Israel will have to do in the end: they will declare all Mavi Marmara participants as an enemy terrorist entity who illegally broke a legal blockade, will arrest them wherever they will stay, bring them all to court in Israel and hopefully let them rot in a prison. This is what they all truly deserve.

When it comes to Israel ALL organisations go against their own charter! In the 'war against the Jews' all means are allowed! I just hope that Israel keeps it's own word! "Going to court means no compensation for the terrorist families"! Doing anything else would be a second knife in the participating soldiers back.

27. #11 Again, ICC has jurisdiction - Turkey
On the Balcony ,   Akko/NY/Kyiv   (05.15.13)
You just love to ignore inconvenient truths, don’t you? I previously provided you with links showing that not being a signatory does not remove Israel from the ICC's reach -especially in relation to the settlements (again, see Art. 12 and Art. 8(2)(b)(viii) of the Rome Statute). The ICC will probably not pursue the current complaint but for reasons having little to do with the fact that Israel is not a signatory. As for Turkey: Turkey has a vibrant economy and bilateral trade with Israel this year is expected to surpass US$5Billion; --Access to Turkish air space is vital to Israel’s security. Until the flotilla incident, Turkey openly shared regional security and defense concerns with Israel. (I suspect it still does but “ta’hat ha shulhan”); --Turkey, is a member of NATO, has one of the most modern armies in the world and shares borders with several of our enemies; --Turkey is uniquely positioned to become a major regional player, all of which begs the question, what do WE have to offer Turkey? The factual assertions here are easily verifiable; all you need do is open your eyes instead of your mouth.
28. #8 et al Blocade legal-excessive force not
On the Balcony ,   Akko/NY/Kyiv   (05.15.13)
I doubt very much that this complaint will go beyond the preliminary stage. Israel's "photo-op" grandstanding attack was ill considereed and tragic but I seriously doubt it rises to the level of criminal behavior, much less constitutes a wa crime. Nevertheless, it is an important case since one of the threshhold issues will be whether or not the ICC has jurisdiction assuming the complaint to be true. I have little doubt that the ICC will rule that it has jurisdiction, notwithstanding the fact that Israel is not a signatory.
29. Comoros has no standing
Cipora Julianna Kohn ,   Z   (05.15.13)
the ship was not sunk. the people on the ship were not their citizens.
30. # 23..You're all wrong as usual...in all areas...
Edithann ,   USA   (05.15.13)
.No, Israel's blockade of Gaza is not a 'legal' blockade..who the hell gave it legitimacy?...no one!.. Israel inforces it illegally' and Hamas doesn't have the wherewithall to stop it...That's why it's 'legal' to kill Palestinian fisherman ..because Israel enforces those murders too... .. And don't be so sure about that ICC.." Ex-Yugoslav General Sentenced to 27 Years Imprisonment (September 6, 2011) ..... The International Criminal Court ' You're skating on thin ice now...and just because you don't want to face facts, you're going to be tried at the ICC whether you like it or not... TATA
