31. #17 Why not self-immolate in protest now?
On the Balcony ,   Akko/NY/Kyiv   (05.15.13)
Unfortunately, the truth is not always on Israel's side. Tel me Chaim, why aren't UNGAR 181 and UNSCR 242 part of the "bilge" spewed by the UN? Simply because they are useful to your position? And why hasn't Israel endorsed the Levy Report which supposedly contains the "incontrovertible proofs" of Israel's rights that you constantly harp on about? Based on previous experience with you, I will anticipate your childish insults and rants in lieu of an intellligent response.
32. #30 There's a special place in hell for antisemites
On the Balcony ,   Akko/NY/Kyiv   (05.15.13)
such as yourself. That said, you are almost half-right. The ICC has jurisdiction over individuals who commit certain kinds of crimes --it does not have jurisdiction over countries. You are completely wrong about the blockade whose legality under international law was upheld by the U.N. Palmer Report. Try reading it. TaTa!
33. To: No. 13
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.15.13)
No, a vessel carrying terrorists attempted to breach a fully legal and internationally recognized blockade. The vessel was there under false pretenses. What Israel should have done is sent a torpedo amidships. That is precisely what every other country would have done. Hell, the Canadians did that to two Chinese fishing smacks that fished Canadian waters. Not a murmur out of the world. Peru's done it to squid fishing vessels that inadvertently strayed into Peruvian waters. The master of the MAVI MARMARA deliberately ignored an order to heave to. Yet Israel chose to board the vessel rather than simply blow it to pieces. We are far too kind.

Obsessive ,   Turkey   (05.15.13)
I have to admit that I'm jealous of your reserves but Qatar, Nigeria and Algeria easily supply LNG. American oil & gas independence forces Russia and many others for discount which is good for us. Turkey doesnt need anyone. Many foreign powers want to hijack Israel-Turkey relations but US doesnt allow it as I said before. Mavi Marmara was a mind eclipse. Please check the " 2012 Italian shooting in the Arabian Sea". Two Italian Marines shot dead two innocent Indian fishermen in int'l waters.
35. To: No. 14
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.15.13)
Sigh. In full recognition of your intellectual limitations, I will say this as simply as I can. The ICC was created by treaty. Its jurisdiction and powers extend exclusively to those countries who have ratified the treaty which created the ICC. Israel has not. The United States has not. Twenty-nine other countries have not. What part of that does your dim brain not understand? Poor, poor, pitiful you. The light is flickering -- but nobody's home. As an aside -- and purely out of curiosity -- why do you hate the Jewish people and the State of Israel so much? What have either ever do to you of such "severity" that you have chosen to lend enthusiastic and unconditional support to a terrorist rabble? That's the puzzling part -- then again, the insane are always puzzling. And you are insane.

BUILD BABY BUILD !!! ,   United States   (05.15.13)
I'm reminded of a film of some Somali pirates Russia captured, the Russian Capt. asked if they had weapons and the pirate said 'no.' When weapons were discovered onboard, the pirates were set loose and one of the pirates asked why? The Russian Capt. answered, because you lied to me." With that, the small craft housing the pirates was blown to bits. Instant justice, that would have most likely happened if the State sponsored Turks had aimed for say, Russia.

Did you take your meds today Jason, like you are supposed to?
38. #30,sweet wet dreams Tata. At least
#23   (05.15.13)
my post finally managed to piss you off. That is quite something taken your very hard-core anti-Semitic views and your low quality cockiness. Keep on getting angry and mad till you rightfully implode. Israel will always know how to defend her citizens and how to fend off thugs, anti-Semites and terrorists. You, sir, throughout all your posts ( BTW,published by a democratic Israeli press) clearly come up with anti-Semitic and anti Israeli solutions being in total awe with terror and terrorists. This ain't gonna work ! Also, your ICC B.S.- interpretation will definitely NOT work for Israeli citizens. You should better put your dreams on the back-burner for another 1000 years.
39. #30 Pay attention what # 32 wrote to you
23   (05.15.13)
Ta-ta from me,too.
40. #35 Read ICC Statute Art. 12.2.(a) Duh!
On the Balcony ,   Akko/NY/Kyiv   (05.15.13)
SarahB, perhaps “TaTa” is suffering from the same dimness that made you deny Pollard’s entitlement to Parole despite official U.S. websites and statements proving you wrong. Under Article 12. 2. (a) the ICC has jurisdiction over crimes which occur on the COMPLAINING state’s territory or on a ship or aircraft which is registered in that state. Palestine is now recognized as a State by the ICC as a result of the UNGA vote according Palestine non-member state status. Israeli citizens can be tried for actions in the occupied territory. Do you think that the U.S. would have bothered to publicly ask the P.A. not to file a complaint with the ICC if the ICC did not have jurisdiction or “teeth”?
41. # 14 So, now you're a lawyer?
BUILD BABY BUILD !!! ,   United States   (05.15.13)
Ho ho, for whom, satan? A legal blockade has the weight of measure you can't yet comprehend. Congrats, your ignorance is on display for the world to laugh at.

43. #3 What did you want them to do?
Ben David Shlomo   (05.15.13)
Roll over and die? 9 of them were murdered/assassinated anyway. Most of the passengers were PEACEFUL INTERNATIONAL ACTIVISTS. What would you do if you were in international waters and your ship was surrounded by aggressive military thugs? Lay down and die #3?
44. #4
Ben David Shlomo   (05.15.13)
So the Israeli soldiers assassinated/murdered 8 Turkish and 1xTurkish/USA citizen with paintball guns??? Is that what you are saying??
45. #19 Sarah B
Ben David Shlomo   (05.15.13)
What is a "snicker"? do you mean a SNIGGER??? You are not a NES are you? As I and many others keep telling you, there is an oversupply of natural gas in the world, You could not give your "natural" gas away at the moment Sarah B. Stop drooling over it.........yuk.
46. I dont get it...
Habibti ,   Denmark   (05.15.13)
I've seen the clips from the boardings and the attacks from the "peace-activists". I want to assure everybody that top-trained Danish marines would definently also have shot (at least) nine activists, (and Turkish soldiers would probably have slaugtered everyone on deck, including their own collegues and innocent bystanders). Lets be fair and ask Turkey to compensate the wounded Israeli soldiers - and then begin sending freedom-flotillas to Syria and Congo (which in comparison make Gaza look like Disneyland)
47. # 11 You're MORE than right!!!!
BUILD BABY BUILD !!! ,   United States   (05.15.13)
if there's any justice, Turkey would pay all damages and apologize to the families of the nine paid assassins/thugs that Erdogen hired. Thanks for your brilliant analysis.
48. # 15 shouldn't you wait for the verdict?
BUILD BABY BUILD !!! ,   United States   (05.15.13)
A LEGAL BLOCKADE IS LEGAL. Shooting wouldn't have been necessary if the 'civilians'' hadn't taken up deadly arms and force ( filmed ) that would have murdered the IDF troops who came in initially with paint ball guns. ( Pathetically inadequate in lieu of the malice aforethought the paid brutes displayed by savage force.) Whatever the decision, the once arrogant Turks are now in another hell of a mess that they can't blame, sue, or demand apologies from Israel, a Syrian war spilling into Turkey that will help push Turkey into internal chaos and financial ruin. So, who laughs last? The JEW!! Watch out, he's behind every rock. LOL
49. # 35 re: # 14 being insane, I concur.
BUILD BABY BUILD !!! ,   United States   (05.15.13)
I doubt you'll get an answer to your last question there is no logical explanation of anti semitism as there is no logical explanation of a created pal people by an Egyptian gay dead man whose rule removed pal teens up faster than the Syrian conflict. The 'support' the pals get from their rich oil cousins, is as empty as is their claim on any part of israel. Shalom.

calling all those epithets. You fully deserve them ! Ta-ta again.
52. ICC examines Gaza
Fritz Edlinger ,   Vienna/Austria   (05.15.13)
It was time!!! But why the Comores and not Palestine and/or another Arab country?
53. Haters, you don't know International law.
Roman ,   Brooklyn, USA   (05.15.13)
"Law and practice are clear. If there is no doubt that the offending ships have made a firm determination to break the blockade, then the blockade may be enforced before the offending ships cross the line into domestic waters. Again the United States and other Western countries have frequently boarded ships at high sea in order to assure their security. " Daily News, TUESDAY, JUNE 1, 2010, 3:32 PM
54. #52 Comores has nothing to lose
#52 ,   Akko/NY/Kyiv   (05.15.13)
It looks like a put-up job to me. Comores has standing to because a ship in the flotillla was registered there. The case itself is likely to be dismissed as are many preliminary reviews. However, before dismissing the case on the merits (or lack of them) the ICC will first have to determine if it has jurisdiction over Israel, a non-signatory. I am confident that it will conclude that it does. This will send a clear warning to Israel that there is no jurisdictional barrier to the prosecution of Israelies for its civilian settlments in the "occupied trritory" (Palestine.)
55. # 32..and all my other buddies...
Edithann ,   USA   (05.16.13)
The real problem is Israel doesn't want to pay off the familes.... Israel has a hard time parting with American money and .Bibi already has it spent it on new furnishings.....so instead Israel is letting the IDF take the fall, leaving them vulnerable and swinging naked in the breeze .. Israel is now betraying the IDF instead of paying off the families... Again Israeli arrogance and betrayal of it’s own, playing center stage for the world to see.. Oh, that Palmer Report is meaningless and not binding on anyone.....It's as legal as Israeli's Goldstone Report on 'Cast Lead'...all crap!!! Not binding and not enforceable.. Get that guys??? NOT BINDING!!!... TATA
56. #55 I forgive u for u know not what you do
On the Balcony ,   Akko/NY/Kyiv   (05.17.13)
Compensation is not a problem although imany Israeli's are outraged at the thought of paying compensation to those who have openly advocated Israel's destruction. It is not, in any case the subject of this article or any related comments -nor is there any basis for your IDF comments. As for the Palmer report; it was prepared for the UNSC and is more indicative of the legal status of the blockade than other reports. That said, the ICC's preliminary investigation will provide some welcome answers to several outstanding questions. As for your obvious "problem" with Jews and everything Jewish, I can only surmise that you resent us for our solidarity and successes and productivity without which your own life would be even shorter darker and more hopeless than it appears to be.
57. I just hate it when I'm always right! TATA
