Unfortunately we have them, and as human beings they have inalienable rights. We have to pity them for their inability to understand democracy. We understand democracy as the rule of the majority tempered by the rule of law; they understand democracy as their sectarian views overriding everything else. We have no business in their affairs so long as they are murdering each other; our interest lies in preventing them from murdering us. There is little to choose between all of them. In common they are repugnant to the values of a civil society and, moreover, they are trying to poison ours.

Agreed. I have noticed. I guess the question thus becomes how long we should allow them to ply their vicious trade and poison all of civilization with their behavior. All efforts to teach them humanity appear to have failed. We have any number of examples upon which to draw. So, do we continue our failed efforts to teach, or do we simply consign them to the rubbish heap? They HAVE poisoned our society. How long should that be allowed to continue before we decide that enough has been far too much? I have no problem with them killing one another. I do have a problem when their murderous ideologies spills over into civilized society. Which it has.
