Women of the wall ,please don't let this crazy Haredim intimidate you You are the real Jews ,the tolerant one,the one who are not discriminating The real jews of the world are with you Not with this fanatics that are causing problem in israel, that don't serve, that don't pay taxes, that contribute to nothing
2. Who says they're Hareidim?
Miriam ,   Jerusalem   (05.20.13)
I oppose the Women of the Wall and I'm not.
3. #1 say what?!
W. Turner ,   Israel   (05.20.13)
when we all learn that the noun (Jew) is more important than the adjectives (Charadi, Ultra-Orthodox, Orthodox, Conserva-dox, Conservative, Reform, Reconstructionist and/or secular) Then we will all be in a better way. Meantime please stop your name calling and labeling.
4. Hoax
Mary Cohen ,   Israel   (05.20.13)
This is most probably a publicity stunt. The "victim" happened to be a journalist and Ynet happened to snap up the story. These women seem to be more about provoking than praying.
5. Torah Tag??
Rachel   (05.20.13)
This seems odd. First, Haredim do not usually use the term "wailing wall". This is more of a secular term, and all the people I know in Israel refer to it as the Kotel. Someone needs to do careful investigating before pointing fingers.
6. Maintain Unity
Zechariah   (05.20.13)
The Security demands unity the issue is emotional so tensions ought be cooled police doing good job . Haredim are on another planet but their ways that are consistent with progressive security state relative humanitarianism can be tolerated.
7. Women of the Wall provacateurs
Dror ,   Emeq Yizrael, Israel   (05.20.13)
I support the Charadi on this one. The Charadi have a point on this one. Women of the wall imbicile provacateurs are trying to bring Feminazism to the holiest site of the Jews aside of the Temple mount itself. What the hell is wrong with these feminazis? Women imitating the role of men in the religion is just meant to irritate and provoke the troah and halachic tradition and nothing more. We are clearly in the End of Days, indisputable. Women of the Wall are Women of the Devil....

Arielush ,   Ramat Ha Golan   (05.20.13)
What's the old saying? Always blame the victim. Provocation is only in the eyes of the beholder. These women should have the right to express their religion as they see fit. Perhaps the Haredim should pray or more appropriately " prey" elsewhere.

Really? That's your reaction?

Although I don't see the necessity for the women of the wall to go with tefilim, I believe that the purpose behind their action is to wake up the orthodox world to the inequal status of women in orthodox Judaism. Examples such as the agunot, the validity of women as witnesses, the right to divorce, the right for an equal share in divorces and inheritance and so on create a situation today where some women want to have their voice heard. Some do it in a wrong way but we should hear it more like a cry for help
12. Theocracy or Democracy?
Mark ,   Cleveland USA   (05.20.13)
I don't believe what you believe. Is that allowed? I don'y care what your Rabbi says. Is that allowed? Black hats are not in the Torah. Long beards are not from the Torah. Most of the prayer services are texts composed by people, and cannot be found in the Torah. When the Orthodox change and add parts to Judaism, it's called "Halacha". When others do, it's called heresy. Enough. Orthodox "rules" can all be questioned.
