1. Israeli-Palestinian peace
Mordechai ,   Beit Shemesh   (05.20.13)
It is about time ALL the Arabs accept the reality: Israel won the war and we are here to stay. Get your heads out of the sand! you can't dictate to us what the terms will be for a settlement, we will tell you!
2. Abbas is mooching money from Qatar
A ,   Belgium   (05.20.13)
and Qatar pays him with "blabla". He probably hates the Syrians for stealing HIS headlines!
3. trying to avoid the arab winter costing him his throne
zionist forever   (05.20.13)
The palestinian issue is the most high profile issue in the region so align yourself with the palestinians and be seen to be trying to solve that conflict and maybe your people won't decide they don't want an absolute monarchy anymore. That is probably also why after 10 years they have suddenly come back to it and announced a revolutionary compromise and that is they will allow for some small land swaps despite the fact this idea has never been a problem for anybody Arafat included. Syria has been a gift for those sheiks trying to stay in power because now people no longer look at Egypt as an example of the arab spring but they look at the death and destruction in Syria and think to themselves things are not actually so bad here as they are so no need to risk a civil war that will destroy our country.
4. Shut up, you stupid despot, and keep pumping gas.
Andy ,   Washington, DC   (05.20.13)
5. Arabs Play Dangerous Game
ACortez ,   CA, USA   (05.21.13)
They've lied to their people for decades but this does not excuse their ignorance. They keep playing this game they will ultimately pay the same price as the Nazis. Jerusalem will not be Palestine's capital and only the foolish arab leaders would try to continue this charade. They better learn soon or they will lose any right to land in the West Bank too.
6. Israel can't make peace because Pals reject Jewish Israel
Sam ,   Canada   (05.21.13)
Enough of these morons around the world who call on Israel to give the Palestinians a state. They neglect to mention that Palestinians reject a state for the Jews. Palestinians and other Arabs will have to get it straight. If the Jews are to give the Palestinians a state the Palestinians will have to accept the Jewish state. The door is not going to be left open for the Arabs to destroy Israel.
7. Syria claims Israeli jeeps used in Qusair
William ,   Israel   (05.21.13)
Ok, so tell me....from looking at the picture, does it look like this jeep is from a confrontation with Israel many, many years ago, and not recently in Qusair?
8. # 2..and who does Israel mooch money off? TATA
Edithann ,   USA   (05.21.13)
9. Peace. A wondrous but elusive thing
Stephen in New York   (05.21.13)
Peace. A wondrous but elusive thing. Kerry and many others in the West believe with all their hearts that if only good will would prevail and an effort be made, All Will Be Well. When I suggest to some of my sophisticated New York friends that the other side does not want peace, but only to annihilate the Jews, I am rewarded with pitying looks because I don't have the correct attitude.
10. Walk the Talk
Edward ,   New York USA   (05.21.13)
The Emir espouses a lot of thing but in your own country you do not support them. From a ruler that has driven Jewish people form his country we hear a solution to drive Jews from their country, the Jewish State of Israel where there are over one million Arabs living in peace with the Jews. The entire speech is worthless no more than a good example of emotional diarrhea.
11. Jewish people vs Arab people
Mike ,   Tel Aviv   (05.21.13)
The Arab Spring has put the Arab people in direct confrontation with the Jewish people in their homeland. Its not about numbers but rather the righteousness and justness of our claim. Now that the Arab people begin to be directly responsible for their affairs and future, they should adopt a critical thinking and understand that the Arab-Islamic occupation of the seventh century is the cause of many of the Middle East's social and political tensions. Jews Kurds Assyrians Coptics Arameans , they all want independence and self-determination.
12. Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani-Small-Braini...
(05.21.13)
is struggling to keep his pathetic kingdom in the hands of his family instead of the hands of the people. It's only a matter of time until his 'loyal' subjects run him out of town....or worse. The Arab people as a whole are sick of these fat-cat pigs abusing their power and telling the rest of the country how to behave. Down with this regime! Down with Khalifa-the-Sheepa! Take back your country! The oil belongs to the citizens, not to the king's family and friends. Take it back NOW! The Jews are and have always been a smokescreen used by Arab dictators to keep themselves in power- nothing more.
13. Arabs will not accept Demilitirized Palestine
Zechariah   (05.21.13)
The Arab people will accept only a Palestinian state fully armed and with weapons of mass destruction an expect the Palestinians to destroy the Jewish State in Steps over Time not matter how many Palestinian shahids lie dead from any weapon .They will not accept Jewish control of the Jordan Valley even to protect the Whole of theHoly Land from Mass Destruction by satanic forces .
14. Still using the Israeli-Palestinian "card"
Arnold ,   Canada   (05.21.13)
If Israel would be wiped out on Wednesday May 22 2013 the Arab world rejoice and OD on candy. Celebrations would go on all the way till Sunday. But when they woke up on Monday morning life for them would still be the same. They still would have miserable countries with miserable leaders and the leaders would need to find a new scapegoat.
15. Islamic leaders do never interfere....as
Beary White ,   Norway   (05.21.13)
..the arab spring is fuelling the killings, going on for two years in Syria.. What a joy for the founder of this cult, to see hundred-tousands islamic followers beeing killed. This seems to be in the islamic nature, a civilized agreement without killings is not an option. While the jews are almost entirely removed from ANY islamic country by the practice of aparteid, the removal of chriatians have started in Tunis, while the western world and US are pissing islam on its back, as they are accepting the flood of islam into western countries.
16. Arab Spring
Dave ,   Anchorage, USA   (05.21.13)
Seems to me it is the various Arab factions, not Israel, who are in direct confrontation with each other.
17. Israel is to blame for everything??
Jerome ,   Basalt, Colorado   (05.21.13)
"The reason is that the Arab Spring has today put Israel in direct confrontation with the Arab people" I always thought it was the aRabs teaching hate, lies, terror and starting all the wars! He said the region will not see peace unless there is resolution to the palestinian issue, which in translation means NO Israel.
18. 5 Arabs have been funding Israel vs Iran
lydia ,   Brisbane   (05.21.13)
Now the Fools see that Iran is giving Israel and coalition of the dummies a thrashing the Arabs are trying to get on board of Iran's liberation wagon of the Palestinians.
19. Whatever the "emir" is on, I want some.
Persian CAT   (05.21.13)
Let's see if this arrogant Arab tribal leader spearhead elections in his own tent with a flag, FIRST. He keeps talking about "democracy" and "elections" as if he were elected to begin with. No one can take this guy's rants seriously.
20. Oil tick
Ilan   (05.21.13)
Their only virtue is the oil they control
21.  Fat Man: where's Qatar's arab spring? LOL
bernard ross   (05.21.13)
22. Other way around.
mina ,   Cairo,Egypt   (05.21.13)
Actually for Arabs, its the other way around. First they ALL need to recognize Israel right to exist and live as a sovereign country for Jews. then when this is done, Then start having diplomatic ties. Then maybe Israel may be tempted to recognize Palestinians rights. 99% of the game cards in Israel hands. So unless Arabs realize that . Palestinians wont have any rights.
23. AND QATAR ALSO WANTS ICAO OUT OF CANADA
stude ham   (05.21.13)
so according to their sheik's logic that demand came straight out of the so-called 'arab spring'... arab spring... didn't that thing allow for the murder of qadafi and the recolonization of Libya? and didn't that thing allow for the ouster of Egypt's Mubarak in favour of an even more repressive Islamic tyranny? and isn't that thing creating horrifying scenarios in Syria with millions now dislodged from their hmes and untold numbers killed or wounded? the last thing Israel needs is direction from the sinistrally monstrous arab politics.
24. #8 No one. I have yet to see an Israeli leader
A ,   Belgium   (05.21.13)
making bashinate sbeeches about his imboverished, albeit non existant, beoble with hands outstretched and mouth drooling like Abbas. Actually, Israel does pretty well earning its own money from its technology, if the "balestinians" had any brains they might want to learn a trick or two about being independent instead of being international leeches. TATA!
25. No it does not
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (05.21.13)
The Arab Spring proves that their is no point in negotiating with Arab leaders or countries. The Arab Spring proves that the only political entity is Islam and the only legitimate representatives are Islamists. No peace can be achieved without negotiating with Brotherhood, Hamas and Jihad.
26. qatar is the whore of the middle east
mofta   (05.21.13)
qatar is the last to give advice for peace. Israel will negotiate the following- peace for peace, west bank annexed to israel and reuben's land on the east bank likewise. qatar to set up fund to relocated arab occupiers of judea and samaria. In return for this, israel will sign peace deals with arabs and not make war. Otherwise, israel will make war from time to time.
