1. BRAVO GEN. GANTZ! WELL-STATED.
Rafi ,   US   (05.21.13)
2. Yes of course he will
Sarah B ,   London/Tel Aviv   (05.21.13)
because Israel would much prefer to have a group affiliated with Al Qaeda running Syria, in possession of chemical weapons and the means to deliver them. A statement purely for domestic consumption in particular Northern Israelis essentially telling them to stay put. Fact is Israel is likely to play along as Assad attempts to unify the Syrian people behind him and against the rebellion And what price will he pay exactly, if you are going to threaten someone at least make it believable
3. An opportunity to expand the buffer zone

between Israel and medieval savagery.

5. #2 Sarah the troll
DavidR ,   USA   (05.21.13)
Yes, Sarah. We know, We know. Your rhetoric is always the same. You hate Netanyahu and you hate yourself and you hate Israel. Why don't you make your posts one word, "ditto?" It will be easier for yourself and for us also.
6. Senior Syrian Minister
Get Real ,   UK   (05.21.13)
Another statement of bravado for the Arab Street. He talks of Syria's re-action coinciding with the severity of Israel's action. And once again Syria threatens whilst Israel acts.
7. The Butcher of syria Was Ordered By his

master in tehran to Stir The Pot A Bit! When assad is Toppled Then the ILLEGAL regime in tehran Will Have Lost Their Playground For Terrorism and They Will Be Neutered!!!
8. To: No. 2
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.21.13)
I don't think Israel will have any problem turning Syria into a giant crater. There won't be any weapons of mass destruction left, and hardly anyone to use them, in any event. This isn't a game, dear. But if you're that terrified -- there's always Londonistan for you.
9. 3 Stepehen NY
Cipora Julianna Kohn ,   Z   (05.21.13)
i totally agree with you. israel should take over the entire golan to protect her civilian population from jihadists and assad's forces. israel cannot and should not expose her neck to the sword of murderous genocidal jihadists, wherever they come from.
10. 2 fake sarah b
Cipora Julianna Kohn ,   Z   (05.21.13)
israel's sole goal is to protect her civilian population and her sovereignty. that is the sole goal of gen. gantz your ludicrous attempts at manipulation claiming that israel would want genocidal jihadists to rule syria is absolutely absurd.
11. Cipora 9-Hezbollians on Golan won't be prepared for IDF
Stephen in New York   (05.21.13)
I would like to see Israel control the rest of the Hermon. And, at least from the air, Israel should control the highway from Damascus down into the Bekka and on to Beirut. By control I mean sever the land supply route between Hezbollah and Damascus. BTW the combat experience Hezbollah may gain from combat against the anti-Assad forces won't prepare them for combat with the IDF.
12. Israel!
Al Quds ,   Al Quds   (05.21.13)
Israel is a barking dog, I will hit Iran, I will hit Hizbullah, I will hit Syrian, I Israel, I Israel, I Israel, come on Bibi show me your guts if you have any?! lol
13. Israel has lost all it's credibility
CHAIM.S 54ST ,   BROOKLYN NY   (05.21.13)
Israel, under the leadership of this criminally insane self hating leftist cowardly government, has lost all it's credibility and deterence, the Arabs have watched how for the last 6 years thousands of rockets have been shot into Israel from Gaza, and what did this pathetic cowardly government do ? it issued worthless threats. The arab world is laughing in israel's face.
14. Bibi & Sarah
Al Quds ,   Al Quds   (05.21.13)
I hope you are enjoying your ice cream and the good night sleep on the plane as you are bringing the region into war. lol
15. #10 Thankyou for agreeing with me
Sarah B ,   Tel Aviv/London   (05.21.13)
The alternative to assad is genocidal Jihadists. Just look at the make up of the rebel army. Israel will do nothing that would risk Assad's downfall and the genocidal jihadists from taking control of Syria Which is why Gantz ranting are all bluster, meaning nothing. I remember the same noises pertaining to Hizbollah, didn't stop them from kidnapping Israeli soldiers did it?
16. #11 That would be the same Hezbollah
Sarah B ,   Tel Aviv/London   (05.21.13)
who fought Israel to a stalemeate in Lebanon despite Israel having overwhelming air superiority? And you seem to be forgetting Russia's delivery to Syria of the S-300 Somethimes there is no military solution, even an armchair general safely ensconced thousands of miles from the action should realise that.
17. haji al quds Bibi Would Chew You Up
(05.21.13)
And Spit You Out in little pieces! Bibi Has The Hardest Job In The World! The ONLY THRIVING NATION in your neighborhood, The Strongest Military in the region IT'S ISRAEL/JEWS!!! Sarah B Speaks The Truth in A Historical Way and A Legal Way and you and your ilk just can't Keep Up With her al quds Masalami al Zib!!!
18. 14
zionist forever   (05.21.13)
I would love to know how you work out the idea that its Bibi who is bringing the region to war. WHO IS BUTCHERING HIS OWN PEOPLE WHO IS SENDIG WEAPONS TO TERRORISTS WHO IS THREATENING TO USE MISSILES There may well be a war if Israel if Assad forces Israel to fight one by doing something stupid but for the most part Israel has no desire for a war with Syria and is quite content to sit back and watch its Syrian enemies kill each other. Longer they keep killing each other the better as far as we are concerned because the longer it goes on the weaker Syria comes out of it. By the way Al Quads is not a word we use in this country we use the word Yerushalayim Al Quads is a word that belongs in the arab & muslim world not Israel and Yerushalayim is part of Israel
19. Londoner #16, Now, now...
Jake   (05.21.13)
With the exception of an annual two week holiday, you yourself are safely ensconsed thousands of miles away from the conflict that you profess to know so much about. Soooo, let not the cracked pot call the kettle black.
20. Syria has too many problems to start a war with Israel
emunadate   (05.21.13)
21. To: Stephen at No. 11
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.21.13)
Actually, that handful of rag-tag untrained rebels have been handing the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and Hezbollah a serious beat-down. Israel will hand any (or all) of them a humiliating defeat.
22. To: No. 16
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.21.13)
Stalemate? You are seriously deranged. Israel reduced most of southern Lebanon to rubble, and still managed to avoid civilian casualties. Perhaps this time we won't bother being careful. And if it was such a stalemate, why does Nasrallah live in an underground bunker, and why does "unexploded Israeli ordnance from 2006" keep on exploding in weapons caches and missile dumps?
23. 16 really Sarah?
(05.21.13)
1- Hezbollah did not fight Israel to a "standstill." The real Sarah would know that. Political interference with military decisions on the Israeli side explain Israel's performance. 2- The S-300 swims in the electronic sea and can be dealt with. 3- I don't offer the IDF advice and merely suggest to Cipora what I would like to see and 4- alas, I am not "an armchair general," simply doing my part. You won't shut me up with snide comments, whoever you are.
24. Last post to 16 supposedly Sarah is mine
Stephen in New York   (05.21.13)
25. Why Don't You Get Out Of Their Country?
World Citizen ,   the world   (05.21.13)
Israel is the occupying country not Syria. Seems to me that Israel is the country trying to destabilize the Golan. Didn't I just see a video of Israeli soldiers on the other side of the ceasefire line? Wasn't it an Israeli vehicle was seized and destroyed on the wrong side of that line? Does your government expect the rest of the world to believe the lies that continuously spew forth from your politicians and military commanders?
26. Israel Wants The Rebels To Take Over
World Citizen ,   the world   (05.21.13)
That way the Israeli government can invade Syria when the "rebels" send missiles into Israel.
27. @ 18
Al Quds ,   Al Quds   (05.21.13)
You commented on everything I said except for the ice cream and the bedroom on the plane!!! Any comments please?
28. @ 17
Al Quds ,   Al Quds   (05.21.13)
why not just call it Israelistan instead of Israel/Jews, any difference? By the way you still have an open bill to settle with Hizbullah from 2006 as per all per western analysts, military analysts if you follow the news well, when are you going to do it? bla bla bla Israel...a real barking dog lol
29. Sarah 21
Stephen in New York   (05.21.13)
I'd like to see Israeli strategic and tactical gain at minimum cost. The territory is open countryside and not suited for Hezbollah.

Cipora Julianna Kohn ,   Z   (05.21.13)
i totally agree with you. may hashem watch over his namesake israel, her children and the wonderful tzahal.
