the real question is if the law should be enforced only against Jews in the west bank. Let's even assume that the arabs who are not Israeli citizens would be free to do whatever they please however they choose. How about all of the Israeli Arabs who are citizens and live over the "green line" ? Does the AG propose Israel goes into Shuafat for example and enforce criminal law against illegal building? 100% of the building there is illegal... what is the proposal?????????

i do not know west bank but Yehuda and Shomron is definitely part of Israel as decribed both in Thora and San Remo 1920 still valid and compulsory clauses.

If he wants to deal with illegal building then he should make sure that the law is enforced without regard to race or religion. There is a serious problem with illegal Arab building as well, and not just in Jerusalem and the Negev. Why single out only Jewish building and only in Judea and Samaria. It smells worse than the slap on the wrist for him and his wife hiring an illegal. Small time crook, small time politician, with too much authority over our legal system.

The difference is; If we occupy or control the West Bank,we are responsible for the welfare of the people who live there. However; whereas the Jews have chosen to live there and COULD live elsewhere in Israel, the Arab population have lived there AT LEAST since 1948,or much longer,and the latest generation find themselves in a situation not of their choice or making.In short they were born there and dont have a choice at all.When our settlers or extreme right wing blinkered folk can try to appreciate this fact,perhaps we might make some progress.....but I doubt it.

What the state fails to do is to protect the rights for jews to bulid everywhere in area C. The state keeps quiet and acting like if Israels, who regarding to international law and the Osloaccords uses the right to build in area C, is a seen as thives around the World. Israel is full of wise courageous men and women. They are the reason Israel is a world leader in medicine, science, high tech, business and many other fields. Yet the Israeli government is largely full of dregs and kapos. We need to get rid of them all. Replace them with wise, courageous patriots.

I agree that the government needs to stop illegal construction by Arabs. However, if you do not like an Israeli government law, then have that law changed through the democratic process. Taking the law into your own hands undermines the very fabric of Israeli democracy.

That the AG is a moron. The Knesset has not extended Israeli law to Judea and Samaria. That being the case - he has no legal authority and should shut the hell up. The last legal authority was the Mandate Laws that state all unused public lands are legally available for JEWISH construction only. That is what the law reads and the AG is ignorant of the law
